The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

Gu Jingyuan had memories of eating, drinking, and having fun with his pals, but he felt a strange sense of estrangement towards these ”brothers.”

However, after drinking together, the others were all very close, and Gu Jingyuan’s guard gradually came down.

He started hanging out with everyone again and reintegrated into the circle of privileged youth in the Capital City.

After the chrysanthemum feast ended, Marquis Gu took the opportunity to report a leave of absence for his youngest son at the Qianniu Guards.

Naturally, the Qianniu Guards also knew about Gu Jingyuan’s ”miraculous experience,” aware that he had finally returned, and needed good rest and more time to reunite with his family.

Of course, the General of Qianniu Guards easily approved the leave because Gu Jingyuan was neither here nor there to the Qianniu Guards.

Having him around didn’t add much, and being without him wouldn’t hinder anything, so the General was happy to grant the favor with no effort.

In this way, Gu Jingyuan received the benefit of ”paid leave.”

He didn’t idle at home, and far from what was publicly said about ”resting,” he began attending various gatherings and banquets with his friends.

If not drinking with his fox-friends Alpha today, then going hunting with his dog-friends Beta to the city suburbs tomorrow. Occasionally, when there were red and white events in the city, Gu Jingyuan would hurriedly join in the excitement.

Busy reintegrating into the social circles of the capital’s nobility, he thus neglected He Tiantian.

As for He Tiantian, due to a body full of red rashes, she could only hide in her small courtyard, not wanting to meet anyone.

After taking the medicine prescribed by Imperial Doctor Chen for several days, the red rashes slowly faded away. He Tiantian wanted to find Gu Jingyuan to ”pour out her heart,” only to discover that he was gone.

”Miss He, the Third Young Master and the Second Young Master of the Lord’s Mansion, the Sixth Young Master of the Marquis Yongan’s Mansion, and several other noble sons went to the hot spring estate in the Southern City for a small gathering. It’s estimated they’ll be back in half a month!”

”Also, Miss He, please don’t blame this servant for speaking out of turn, but indeed, you and the Third Young Master have differences as a man and a woman!”

”True, you and the Third Young Master have sworn kinship as brother and sister, but after all, you are not blood relatives. Even real siblings, once grown up, should avoid suspicion!”

”The Third Young Madam is tolerant and generous, never minded these matters, but you shouldn’t take advantage of the Third Young Madam’s good nature to act recklessly!”

Mozhu held a stern face, seemingly having He Tiantian’s best interests at heart, but in fact, reprimanding and humiliating her.

He Tiantian, flustered and exasperated, said in anger and embarrassment, ”Nonsense, I haven’t,” then covered her face with a handkerchief and ran back to the East Cross Court.

Almost an hour later, the news of He Tiantian being harshly scolded by Mozhu reached Ma Family’s ears.

Ma Family sneered coldly, ”Can’t sit still anymore? Hmph, really thinks herself to be a celestial beauty, able to turn Gu Jingyuan’s head?”

In the past, Gu Jingyuan valued He Dian so because he had amnesia, with no choice but to rely on He Dian.

Now that Gu Jingyuan is back in the Capital City, he has family, he has identity, and his old fox-friends and dog-friends are all around him, giving him naturally more and better choices.

Plus, ”He Dian” just had a face, a body full of red rashes, and although the Imperial Physician said it was due to food conflict, anyone who had seen her ”looks” would have some shadow in their heart.

Gu Jingyuan was originally a selfish and cold-hearted scumbag, upon seeing ”He Dian’s” ugly appearance, who knows how much he despised her.

With ”brothers” diverting his attention, he took the opportunity to run out to socialize everywhere.

”He Dian” being neglected, even a servant like Mozhu dared to push her around, her situation in the Marquis Mansion will become increasingly awkward.

Crafty He Dian, of course, wouldn’t sit still waiting for death.

She would find ways to seduce Gu Jingyuan, thereby gaining the ”trump card” to enjoy wealth and prosperity in the Marquis Mansion.

Once she acts, Ma Family can seize the chance, then criticize this scumbag pair from a high moral ground as they wish.

”...Not enough! I need to add fuel to the fire for He Dian!”

Ma Family slightly curled the corners of her lips, thought of a ”kill two birds with one stone” good plan.

...

”What? You say the Third Young Madam has been frequently visiting the estate in the suburbs these days? She seems to have instructed her personal room to buy a maid?”

With Ma Family deliberately letting the news leak, He Tiantian smoothly heard such news.

He Tiantian had already guessed in her mind, yet still showed a shocked expression on her face.

”Exactly! The old lady also found out, the young girl that Third Young Madam instructed Ma Zhong to find, her age and looks are quite similar to yours!”

The reply came from an old maid, she was a hereditary servant of the Marquis Mansion, usually responsible for guarding the corner gate.

Since she was a servant by birth, also married to a servant in the mansion, her natal and marital families, as well as all relatives by marriage, were all employed within the mansion.
