The Female Lead Decides to Act Wickedly

”As for the ’Fertility Guanyin’, I truly dare not accept it. Having a boy or a girl is a blessing, even Ghosts and Gods find it hard to decide, let alone a village lass like me!”

He Tiantian answered appropriately, expressing refusal in a subtle manner.

Hearing her say this, Lady Wei nodded secretly in her heart: a clever person indeed, and thus, she felt even more at ease!

Lady Wei no longer persuaded, but instead took the opportunity to bid farewell and leave.

However, before leaving, Lady Wei appropriately expressed some goodwill, as if wanting to continue forming a good relationship with He Tiantian.

She whispered to He Tiantian, ”Old servant knows, just now the lady said that because she didn’t want to be too ostentatious, indeed you have some good remedies in hand.”

”As for me, being of age and a servant who takes care of people, I often get headaches and fevers.”

”Should old servant feel unwell someday, please do not hesitate to bestow medicine, my lady.”

”Old servant thanks the lady in advance, kind deeds will surely be rewarded!”

When she mentioned ”kind deeds will surely be rewarded”, there was a clear implication.

He Tiantian raised an eyebrow, what a bold and cunning old woman, scheming from the first meeting with ”He Dian”!

No wonder in the original story, she had set such a grand scheme that even the esteemed Royal Family got caught up in it.

Yet she calculated people’s hearts so precisely that, even when trouble arose, she was not held accountable.

On the contrary, her entire family followed He Dian to rise to success.

”Ma’am, you are too polite, if you ever need my help, just let me know!”

He Tiantian endured her inner complaints, but had to appear pleasantly surprised outwardly.

After all, during this period, she had been running around Marquis Mansion to connect with the masters, uh, the necessary people around the masters.

Marchioness and Young Madam seemed amiable on the surface but were in fact very particular about rules.

Everyone around them was equally difficult to approach.

Thanks to Lady Wei’s need, He Tiantian could prescribe the right remedy.

Now, finally seeing Lady Wei showing goodwill, He Tiantian, who maintained the original character setting, was naturally very happy.

Lady Wei smiled slightly with pulled lips, said a few courteous words, and then took her leave.

He Tiantian diligently saw them out of East Cross Court, then out of the Pagoda Courtyard gate, and only after watching Lady Wei’s figure gradually disappear did she reluctantly return to her room.

Lady Wei’s posture was upright, possessing a certain royal dignity in her gait, but she always managed to use slight movements to sneak glances back at the people behind her out of the corner of her eye.

Seeing ”He Dian’s” eager and respectful demeanor, Lady Wei became even more satisfied.

Very well, she was indeed right; this He Dian is an ambitious, wealth-loving person.

She harbors a deep longing for power.

Such a person is most suitable for ”collaboration”.

If earlier it was just a sudden inspiration, then discovering ”He Dian’s” greed, Lady Wei grew increasingly confident in her plan!

Thus, after a few days, Lady Wei silently went over the entire plan in her head numerous times, confirming its feasibility and minimal risk, before seizing an opportunity to visit the East Cross Court in the Pagoda Courtyard.

At this time, the Ma Family had already returned to the mansion, closely watching He Tiantian’s every move.

Hearing that Lady Wei had come, Ma Family was startled and secretly made her way to the East Cross Court.

She had Fei Cui stand outside and stealthily approached the window by herself.

It wasn’t that the Ma Family didn’t trust Fei Cui, but what she was about to eavesdrop on was too terrifying, too secretive, requiring her utmost caution.

Thud!

The moment Ma Family got close to the window, she immediately heard the dull sound of someone kneeling.

Ma Family’s heart skipped a beat.

This, this is happening already?

”Ma’am, what are you doing? Will you bring misfortune upon me?” He Tiantian feigned being startled, hurriedly dodging aside to avoid Lady Wei’s kowtow.

”No! My lady, please listen, old servant is guilty, deserving of a thousand deaths!”

”Back then, it was all because old servant was momentarily confused, making a mistake, causing you, a legitimate daughter of a noble Prince Mansion, to end up in the countryside!”

”Woo woo, old servant is sorry to you, and even more so to Princess Qi!”

He Tiantian widened her eyes, ”What? You, you mean to say I am the daughter of the Prince Qi’s Mansion, and when you served there, you secretly swapped me out?”

Swapping the dragon for the phoenix?

Oh no, Princess Qi under her knees had a son and a daughter, but only the daughter, Princess Yongping’s age matched He Dian.

So, was it swapping the roe deer for the Crown Prince, creating a fake and true lady?!

Ma Family: ...As expected, Lady Wei came to reveal the secret to He Dian!

But before the Ma Family could become secretly anxious, she heard He Tiantian say with certainty, ”Impossible, I absolutely cannot be a child of Prince Qi’s Mansion!”

Ma Family & Lady Wei: ...
