The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

The next day, as agreed, Kaito, Ravel, and Sakuya (Est was also there, but she was in inventory) went to the world of To Aru mainly to help Misaka save her sisters and then have a date here with Ravel.

However, Kaito’s group got separated from Misaka... because Misaka transferred to the girls’ dormitory of Tokiwadai Middle School. There’s no way Kaito, a boy, would appear in Misaka’s dormitory.

Relying on a system request, Kaito and his group were transferred to a different location in To Aru, appearing in a deserted area behind a building with no one around them.

But, not far from them, they could see a street full of people passing by in the bustling city, which was just the perfect location to transfer in.

...

”Now, we have arrived in the Academy City.” Kaito said and then asked everyone behind him, ”Should we fine Misaka right away or enjoy the city first?”

Kaito honestly wanted to explore the city immediately, but naturally, he couldn’t do that because Kaito wasn’t alone here.

...

”My apologies, master, but our priority first is to find a place to stay since we are going to be here for a while,” Sakuya suggested calmly.

”That’s... a good idea.” Kaito nodded, accepting his maid’s suggestion, and turned to Ravel, who seemed nervous without reason, ”What do you think, Ravel-sama?”

”I-I am fine, Kaito-san.” Ravel answered nervously, ”I will follow you too.”

”No need to be nervous.” Kaito said with a joking tone and whispered to her ear, ”At least I won’t eat you right away, Ravel-sama~.”

”Awawawa~”

Hearing his whisper, Ravel’s face quickly reddened like a ripe tomato, clearly embarrassed from his teasing.

”Master, I feel like you have become more perverted since Aika-san making out with you,” Sakuya commented again.

”Who knows? Maybe it’s my true nature.” Kaito just shrugged, aware of the change himself.

Previously, he would have been embarrassed to do this kind of thing, but now Kaito is quite open with it. It’s not like his personality has changed; Kaito just realized that flirting with the girls around him is a good method to relieve some stress, on top of building relationships with people around him.

Now that Kaito himself is no longer a virgin, there’s no reason to hold back anymore, especially when the girls around him are also looking forward to it.

...

”Well, as your maid, I don’t have the right to disturb your flirting...” Sakuya frowned as she observed the surrounding area, feeling someone monitoring them directly, ”But do we need to destroy all the annoying mini cameras in the air?”

”...That’s a bad idea. These UNDER_LINE were necessary tools of the owner of this city.”

Kaito quickly stopped her and reminded her, ”We don’t want to offend the owner of the city at all..”

UNDER_LINE is a network of minuscule machines spread all over the Academy City and serves as a direct line of gathering information to Aleister. Hence, as long as you were in the city, it’s impossible to avoid his detection, and trying to do so would just be trying to offend Alesiter.

...

”Also, doing so would make Misaka’s life in this city more difficult,” Kaito added.

”Ah, I apologize, master. I understand.” Sakuya quickly agreed and decided to follow his order.

After that, Kaito’s group quickly went out to the city, and the first issue they immediately decided to solve was their identity issue. In the modern city full of technology, identity is the most important thing to have. Thankfully, it was easily solved by using points (15.000 points per person), a bit expensive, and only at the surface level.

What the surface level does mean, it easily fools most of the system in the Academy city, but this facade won’t be able to affect anyone who resides deep in this world. For example, people with 7* strength, like Aleister and Aiwas... Or people with special connections in this world, like the church leaders.

The chat group actually could have fooled them, too, but it was way too expensive to purchase (1 million per person), so Kaito decided not to do it. Besides, Kaito knows he will meet Aleister at some point since wanting to stop Misaka sisters’ project means they will definitely affect his plan.

And Aleister never liked anyone who tried to disturb his plan... and definitely invited them soon or later.

>>>>>

In fact, Kaito’s assumption was right; the owner of this city has monitored him for a while and has become interested in him.

In a windowless building in District 7, an upside-down naked man in a jar opened his eyes with a serious look. This man is the owner of the Academy City, Aleister, and the one whom Kaito and the chat group members fear the most at the moment.

In front of him, a dozen holographic monitors show Kaito group’s whereabouts and Misaka’s whereabouts... and he has been observing at each of them.

Naturally, as Kaito only solves their identity issue at a surface level, Aleister is aware of what they are doing and has been curious about their method to forge their identity in this world.

...

”I can’t find their mean to be able to forge their identity instantly in this world. It’s not magic, it’s something else that we can’t detect.”

A golden-haired woman with a thin and tall stature, Aiwass, his partner, appeared beside Aleister calmly, ”Do you want to meet them, Aleister? I felt they were not that strong and we should be able to subdue them.”

”Not yet.” Aleister rejected, ”But it’s clear Misaka should come from the same place as them.”

Because Misaka’s transfer method was so flashy (before the group chat function upgrade), Aleister knew Misaka had disappeared in her room, even though a split second later, Misaka reappeared in the same spot, as if she had never disappeared to begin with.

Unfortunately, as part of his core plan, Aleister always pays attention to her carefully, so he does notice the time disparity. On top of that, Misaka’s drastic change also confirmed his suspicion that Misaka had vanished from this world in that split second... as Aleister couldn’t find Misaka’s trail in any other parallel world.

Aleister also detected that Misaka’s ability to control electromagnetic elements had increased dramatically; in fact, it could be said that Misaka was now halfway to level 6. Furthermore, Aleister could sense something physically wrong with Misaka’s (devil fruit), and he was certain it wasn’t the result of magic.

As for why Aleister was certain Kaito came from the same place as Misaka, their talk about Misaka and the unexplained method of establishing identity was the main evidence. Furthermore, Aleister could also analyze that something was physically wrong with Kaito’s group from their energy alone, as he believed they were all non-human. (devil)

Just from those observations, the very smart Aleister quickly concluded they should be coming from outside the world and in the same group, and Aleister was naturally very interested since Misaka is the core part of his ultimate plan.

...

”A different world... I wonder if it would be a good or bad thing for my plan.” Aleister muttered, ”For now, let’s observe even further, and perhaps I will arrange some people to test their ability.”

”And then we can meet them.”

For Aleister, as long as the Kaito groups don’t want to disturb his plan, he’s willing to accommodate them and turn a blind eye to their action. Aleister also certainly wanted to meet them directly, but only after he figured out their ability and motive to visit this world.

>>>>>

After forging an identity with the system and finding a place to temporarily live in the city, the Kaito group decides to report their situation first to the chat group. Although they could certainly solve the situation directly by just beating Accelerator, Kaito’s group decides to wait for Misaka’s opinion.

After all, Misaka is technically their employee here, and this world is her world, and it would be rude if they just wanted to do whatever they want.

=====

[Owner]: ”This city so far is really amazing. Especially, I really like the cleaning robot, and I wonder if I could bring one so we can spread it around our world too.”

[Alien Princess]: ”Cleaning robot? I think I could try to make one too for our world! It should not be hard.”

[SAO Administrator]: ”Indeed. Even I can do that. You only need the right material and excellent programming.”

[Owner]: ”Even so, there are so many more amazing technology applications happening in this city. It would be much faster if we just looked at them directly instead of figuring them out one by one.”

[Alien Princess]: ”That’s true!”

[SAO Administrator]: ”That’s indeed much easier than researching by ourselves.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Perhaps you could make a deal with Aleister about getting all the technology information in this Academy City.”

[Owner]: ”That’s not a bad idea. We could even try to cooperate with him.”

[Necromancer]: ”Be careful, Kaito. Aleister is scary.”

[Owner]: ”I know, but he’s not a man that would kill anyone he saw, otherwise there’s no way church people can infiltrate the city under his watch.”

[Root Princess]: ”But by that logic, it’s just soon of later before Kaito meets him, as he was sure observing him too.”

[Owner]: ”Indeed.”

Just depend on his intuition, Kaito is sure that at this point, Aleister has paid attention to them and might even be currently trying to figure out anything about them. What makes it worse is that there’s nothing they can do about it.

The whole city is his home, and they were severely disadvantaged against him.

Thankfully, the fact that Aleister hasn’t sent anyone to meet him ’directly’ yet means Kaito and his members just need to show their sincerity and let Aleister witness what they could offer to him.

And Kaito guessed Aleister probably wanted to make sure they wouldn’t be an obstacle to his plan.

...

[Root Princess]: ”Maybe you could even ask Aleister the method to develop a superpower or esper too later.”

[God Tongue]: ”That’s a good idea!”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”Indeed. Getting the ability for free, that’s always a great idea.”

[Witch of the Void]: ”I admit the esper thing is quite interesting, but the drawback of being unable to use magic is quite serious.”

[Owner Favorite Girl]: ”Can’t use magic is a very bad thing for a devil...”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Esper power is just another form of magic after all, mixed with science. The chat group system probably could tweak that to delete that side effect easily.”

[Owner]: ”It’s an interesting proposal, but let’s talk about that later. It’s not that easy to set up a new subject on Academy.”

...

If Aleister is willing to share the secret of esper development, that would enrich the Aincrad academy program and add more professions for the future. However, it also means they need specialized manpower to teach that subject and might need to ’recruit’ a teacher/researcher from this world.

This would make his idea to cooperate with Aleister even more necessary to do, but Kaito has a headache thinking about how they should do it.

...

[God Tongue]: ”By the way, where’s Sakuya-san? She hasn’t appeared in the chat group for a while.”

[Owner]: ”Ah, she was responsible for my food in this world, and right now, taking groceries with Est. After all, we have just moved in, and there’s nothing to eat in the apartment.”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”So envious, you have your own personal maid, boss!”

[Owner]: ”I told you just go back to your own world, you can have Darkness as your maid.”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”THAT’S NOT REAL MAID! THAT’S A SHAM AND MASOCHIST!”

[Caped Baldy]: ”Pffft!”

[Owner]: ”How about a cleaning robot? I think Aleister wouldn’t mind if I took one to become your maid?”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”You said it yourself! That’s not even a human!”

[Owner]: ”Pffft!”

[Queen of Sekirei]: ”Pffft!”

[God Tongue]: ”I kinda pity Kazuma-san, but he’s really funny!”

[Slime King]: ”Hahahaha! Indeed!”

[Gender Equality Advocate]: ”Shut up, you winner of life! Send me one of your beauty orc to serve me!”

[Slime King]: ”No way! Go back to your own world!”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”SHUT UP!”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Oi capslock, Kauma. But I understand why you are mad. Why don’t you just recruit a maid from Antizombie city?”

[Owner]: ”Oi, Aika. You are suggesting a bad idea to this guy.”

[Musician of Red Hair Pirates]: ”Indeed!”

[God Tongue]: ”Who knows how many women would be harmed by this guy?”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Don’t worry, this guy won’t dare to do anything bad. Isn’t that right, Satou Kazuma-san?”

[Gender Equality Hero]: ”Err... I understand! Thank you for the suggestion, lady boss!”

Kazuma has heard what Aika is capable of, and most of the members suggested that he never go against her.

Naturally, Kazuma wouldn’t dare to deny her order, especially when it’s clear that even Kaito, the boss, follows her order. Kazuma wouldn’t that stupid to abuse his privilege, since other chat group members are definitely able to find out all of his activity in this world!

...

[Uchiha Prodigy]: ”...Should I recruit a maid too?”

[Sekirei No. 3]: ”Darling, don’t you have Susanoo? We just need to fix him, right?”

[Uchiha Prodigy]: ”But it was quite expensive to fix... 60.000 points.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Wow, even more expensive than most level 4 abilities in the chat group store.”

[Owner]: ”How about you send it to Lala and me later, Humanoid Teigu sounds interesting to figure out.”

[Uchiha Prodigy]: ”Is it really okay? Isn’t that bothering you too much, Owner?”

[Owner]: ”Should be okay.”

[Alien Princess]: ”I haven’t watched Akame Ga Kill, so I don’t know what you were talking about! But I don’t mind if Kaito says it will be interesting!”

[Owner]: ”It’s very interesting stuff. Just watch the memory, and you will find out. Let’s work together again later, okay?”

[Alien Princess]: ”Okay!”

[Uchiha Prodigy]: ”Thank you, Owner.”

[Owner]: ”No need to thank, we haven’t even looked at it yet.”

Considering that both couples are his peerage members, Kaito wouldn’t mind helping them at all after they had also helped him a lot. To be honest, he was also surprised that Itachi managed to snatch Susanoo from the Revolutionary Army.

Kaito is also quite interested in Humanoid Teigu, which could be mass-produced and treated as an army for the base world.

...

[Railgun Girl]: ”Ah!! Since I haven’t attended the class for a long time, I have forgotten most subjects!”

[God Tongue]: ”There it is, Misaka-san.”

[Owner]: ”Pffft! Welcome back, Misaka-san.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”Thank you... Kaito, where are you now?”

[Owner]: ”I am at home, in our new apartment. Did you already get out of school?”

[Railgun Girl]: ”No... Ugh, I got punished because I forgot to do my homework, so I had to clean the class after school.”

To say Misaka was embarrassed is an understatement; after all, she was supposed to be one of the smartest people in the class (level 5 esper). Not to mention, Shohokou Misaki has been making fun of her for a while now, and Misaka could only endure it.

...

[Witch of the Void]: ”I feel bad, but since you technically have years to prepare, your punishment is indeed quite deserved.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”Ugh, don’t scold me in the chat group too, Natsuki-chan!”

[God Tongue]: ”My condolences.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Being a student isn’t easy.”

[SAO Blacksmith]: ”I can attest to that statement!”

[Owner]: ”I am sorry, but normally, both of us are students too!”

[Witch of the Void]: ”Heh... Should I teach you then, Kaito? I would gladly teach you and give you a lot of helpful homework.”

[Owner]: ”Uh... I am sorry, Natsuki-chan! On second thought, I would rather be a headmaster!”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Pffft!”

=====

After lunch made by Sakuya and getting information that Misaka will be free in a few hours from the chat group, during that time, Kaito and Ravel decide to stroll around the city for their first pseudo-date in this world. Meanwhile, Est and Sakuya are going to guard their new home, while also waiting for their new furniture to arrive.

However, he would soon regret it as Kaito quickly got into a problem within the city... as he forgot that Aleister is very curious about him.
