The Misfortune Adventure Of Dimensional Chat Group Owner

A few days later, after the mass scale of cursed children retrieval started, Kaito got banned from working by the chat group, and everyone told him to take a break. They told him to move to the Akame Ga Kill world to take a vacation in Paradise City to clear his mind.

Although he wants to help in the process of cleaning up the Gastrea creatures and retrieving cursed children all over the world, everyone in the chat group naturally refuses his help. The plan Kaito was supposed to take part in for the Imperial Capital raid has now been canceled by Aika.

Additionally, Aika banned him from using the creation and third methods for training, leaving Kaito with nothing to do.

”I am touched that everyone wants me to take a rest, but I feel that I have been exiled to this world...” Kaito sighed while complaining, ”But at least I had Midori come with me.” Kaito wryly smiled while affectionately patting his ’partner’.

”Mmm... Kaito-sama.”

Midori naturally didn’t refuse Kaito’s act, and she was also curious about the world that her master had brought him: ”Is this a new world, Kaito-sama?”

”Yeah. It’s a different world.” Kaito nodded and proudly introduced the city, ”Midori, let’s go to the mall! Since no one let me go to work, we might as well try to have fun!”

”U-Um!”

Although the city is quite deserted right now compared to normal times, thanks to the Empire’s declaration of war on Paradise City a few days ago, there are still many businesses open publicly, and even the mall is still crowded and working as usual.

This is due to Crocodile’s effort to reassure everyone that the war wouldn’t affect the city at all, as he publicly informed everyone that the wall outside the city was his ’Teigu’ and it is impossible to break in easily.

In a way, Crocodile wasn’t wrong. Unless it is attacked by a napalm bomb grade attack, the city wall should be able to withstand any attack as long as Crocodile provides energy for its regeneration

After leisurely enjoying walking around the ’modern mall’ in Paradise City, Kaito decided to have lunch in one of the more popular restaurants in the mall to enjoy a dish that comes from this world. Surprisingly, it wasn’t bad at all; the porridge and steak were quite good and satisfying to eat. Not as good as their ”chef chat group member” dishes, but it’s almost comparable to Sakuya’s dish before she trained under Erina.

As Kaito leisurely waited for Midori to finish her food, two people recognized him from afar. It was Mine and Misaka, the duo’s new best friend, who was currently enjoying their weekly shopping routine in this city.

”You are... master Kaito?” (Mine)

”Ah, you are here, Kaito. Good afternoon.” (Misaka)

”Ah, Mine and Misaka. Good afternoon.” Kaito greeted them back casually.

”This girl is Midori, right?” Misaka said, looking at the girl white hair girl who was enjoying her dessert.

Midori, who has information about all chat group members from Kaito, temporarily stopped eating, and then politely introduced herself, ”M-My name is Fuse Midori, my master is Kaito-sama. N-Nice to meet you!”

””So cute!!””

”Indeed. My Midori is cute~” Kaito nodded in agreement and then teased Misaka, ”Speaking of which, I didn’t expect you to slack off here, Misaka.”

...!!!

”Ugh... I am sorry about it.”

Hearing Kaito’s words, Misaka couldn’t help but become embarrassed, knowing he was saying the truth. In preparation for the incoming war, all of the other Team 2 were currently busy on their own. Even her usual partner, Hisato currently busy preparing thousands of food rations that can be used in the war... even though the war was planned to end in a single day.

”Pffft... I was kidding.” Kaito smiled at her and then continued, ”Anyway, you guys should continue enjoying yourself~”

”You too, Kaito. Please don’t push yourself harder, okay?” Misaka stated with a hint of guilt.

After the talk in the chat group about Kaito’s situation, Misaka feels bad for him and realizes how many things he has done for everyone. Unfortunately, she’s also one of the members who needs his help, but at least Misaka is willing to wait until Kaito gets better before letting him help her.

Her world time should be frozen anyway, so it doesn’t matter how long it would take her to wait. No one wanted their leader, Kaito, to collapse under stress, not even Misaka herself, who had the least affection for him in the chat group.

....

”Well... It’s okay, I am having fun right now.” Kaito nodded in understanding and then teased again, ”Anyway, you two better go, I don’t want to waste you guys’ dating time anyway!”

...!!?!

””We are not!!”” (Misaka/Mine)

”Hahahaha!”

Both Misaka and Mine retorted loudly, making Kaito laugh as he was amused by their reaction. Mine doesn’t mind it and knows that Kaito was joking, but the same can’t be the same for Misaka. Misaka especially shudders about that possibility, because she’s already become a frequent target of Kuroko back in her world!

Thankfully, Misaka knows Mine is a normal straight woman. After all, Mine was the wife of Tatsumi (protagonist of this world) in the original plot, so she’s not lesbian.

After spending time together with Midori the whole day until evening, they decide to go back to their temporary residence (villa) in this world to take a rest.

”What a peaceful day. I really overwork myself for a long time, huh?”

In this world, Kaito does not have to worry about suddenly finding a group of people torturing cursed children or whether the Gastrea creature would cause harm to the city, thanks to the Crocodile city wall that prevents any dangerous beast from entering the city.

Anyway, although Midori is an enhanced cursed child, in her essence, she’s still a child. She got tired after having fun playing with Kaito the whole day, and now she’s fallen asleep on Kaito’s lap while he sits on the sofa without doing anything except stroking Midori’s white, fluffy hair.

Getting kind of bored, Kaito, who has nothing to do yet, can’t move (afraid of waking up Midori), decides to open the chat group... and comes at the perfect time.

Right now, every chat group member is busy talking about the bad situation in Paradise City, and Kaito is naturally interested since he currently resides on it.

=====

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”They dare to poison our river. Although we have a way to purify it from the source, that incident does cause some victims in the city and makes the city feel unrest.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”We manage to calm them for now, but who knows what kind of harassment they’re gonna do next?!”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”Until the war started, there’s no much stuff we can do except to endure it.”

[Ohara Survivor]: ”Attracting a horde of dangerous beasts, burning the forest around the city, and now poisoning the water source. The empire really knows how to play in a war.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”They are the strongest Empire in this world after all. They have hundreds of experience from war, and in terms of military strategy, we are not an opponent.”

...

Aika admits that, although the chat group has experienced multiple big-scale fights, in essence, most of them are fighting monsters. In a war against a human army, there’s a strategy involved, and they were harder to fight against than simply brute force.

Although the chat group member has absolute strength to eclipse any strategy Empire developed, Aika knows the situation would be far different if both forces were on equal strength or even at a disadvantage.

...

[Root Princess]: ”The only question is how long we need to endure Empire harassment before they arrive in Paradise City.”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”It won’t be long, just be patient. Esdeath has already sorted all of her soldiers for the war, and I believe it would take a few days for them to run into her.”

[Necromancer]: ”Another war again... I hate it.”

[God Tongue]: ”True.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”That’s for the better future of the worlds... it can’t be helped.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”A few days... that’s too long! In front of absolute strength, no amount of strategy could make that up! Let’s attack the Empire now!”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Nope. Stop your impulse, Misaka-san.”

[Queen of Sekirei]: ”Isn’t that a bit too hasty?”

[Uchiha Prodigy]: ”Uh... Saber-san told me she still needs a few days until the soldier is ’good enough’ to participate in a war.”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”On top of that, in political perspective, doing such a thing would affect Imperial Capital citizen opinion about us. Although we are wronged, if we are attacking first, then people still think it’s our fault.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”But...!! I feel like we should do something about their harassment.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Calm down, Misaka. I know you are mad, but you just need to be patient.”

[Owner]: ”Nah, Aika was right. You just wait until they come. If you guys attacked the Imperial Capital now, some of the small fish may escape from punishment.”

...!!!

Looking at Kaito suddenly popping up in the chat group, everyone immediately reacted and paid attention to him. After all, besides the situation of Paradise City, Kaito’s situation is what most chat group members are concerned with right now.

[Owner Favorite Girl]: ”Kaito, you are here!?”

[Scarlet Devil Headmaid]: ”Master. Stop lurking on the chat.”

[Root Princess]: ”Kaito, you are supposed to be on break.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Indeed, Kaito. When we say you shouldn’t work, you should trust us and leave everything to your members.”

[Owner]: ”Hey, I already took a full day break date with Midori. I just happened to open the chat group at this time. Opening the chat group isn’t part of the work, and I shouldn’t be forbidden from doing it.”

[Queen of Sekirei]: ”Date with Midori... Kaito-kun really can’t escape the lolicon allegation.”

[Root Princess]: ”Do you want to date me too later? Technically, I am a loli too.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Correction. Fake loli.”

[Root Princess]: ”Heh... Are you jealous, Aika-san?”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”If anything, you shouldn’t indulge Kaito in his fetish. We should try to correct him.”

[Queen of Sekirei]: ”Agree.”

[Owner Favorite Girl]: ”Agree.”

[Necromancer]: ”Agree.”

[Sekirei Number 7]: ”Agree.”

[Root Princess]: ”I want to disagree, but in the long term, her fondness for loli would give him a lot of trouble with the police.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Pfft... so you are aware. @Owner, what do you think?”

[Owner]: ”I am not a lolicon! But whatever you guys are saying! Can you guys get back to the main topic?”

If there’s something that Kaito thinks would never change, it must be their allegation that him being a lolicon... despite he doesn’t have that fetish at all. However, his situation being favored by the majority of cursed children (getting saved by him) and happen to have lolis as partners (Est as weapon, Midori as Initiator) doesn’t help his case at all.

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Sure. But don’t expect us to let you take any role in it. Although, thanks to your doing so in Imperial Capital before. Now, Esdeath is eager for revenge on you.”

[Owner]: ”Should I say sorry for beating her up?”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”No, you don’t need to apologize. If anything, this benefits us greatly since it accelerates our plan, and we don’t need to wait for too long.”

[Ohara Survivor]: ”From the information I got, your poster now has the biggest bounty in the Imperial Capital, issued by Esdeath herself. She’s also been training very hard, eager to pay back the humiliation that you inflicted on her.”

[Owner]: ”Wow... so petty. Are you guys sure you can take care of her?”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Don’t think about it, Kaito. Saitama-sensei will take care of it, although he is quite depressed.”

[Railgun Girl]: ”Depressed?”

[God Tongue]: ”Because Scorpion still hates and is afraid of him.”

[Owner]: ”Pffft. We can’t blame her for acting like that. She got beaten to death by Saitama-sensei after all.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Scorpion likes you, though, for saving her life, despite you also participating in her defeat. You loli attractor.”

[Owner]: ”So, it’s back to lolicon matter again! Can you guys stop it?! I am not at fault, okay?”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Who knows? But we don’t care as long as you don’t try to participate actively in our plan. Maybe we should make you do something.”

[Root Princess]: ”Regarding that, I have an idea, how about we send the little girl Scorpion to Kaito’s side to take care of her?”

[Owner Favorite Girl]: ”Umm... A-Anna-chan also wanted to follow you. She’s been very depressed since you only took Midori-chan with you.”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Good idea. Can you take care of 3 children together, Kaito?”

[Owner]: ”You want me... to become a nanny and take care of the children?”

Looking at the girls, it seemed they wanted to send more little girls toward him to take care of. Kaito didn’t know whether he should be happy or offended.

...

[Mage of Exodus]:  ”Yes. At least it’s way better than trying to participate in a war. I know you would participate if we don’t make you busy with something.”

[Scarlet Devil Headmaid]: ”That’s true.”

[Baroque Works Leader]: ”I also feel that would definitely happen.”

[Owner Favorite Girl]: ”Take a proper vacation, Kaito-kun!”

[Mage of Exodus]: ”Just accept it. It’s my order to you, besides taking care of girls,s should be way easier than trying to prepare for a war.”

[Owner]: ”...Alright.”

Kaito admits Aika’s words indeed make sense, since taking care of children is much easier to do than pure torturous work like he usually does, like creating armor and weapons a thousand times for the Paradise City army.

Just remember how much his workload was before the Scorpion attack... yeah, Kaito himself would be happy to stop doing that. He is not a masochist after all.

In the end, Kaito was forced to accept Aika’s proposal, and tomorrow the chat group will send someone to drop off those 2 children for him to take care.
