Chapter 468: Chapter 40: Elite Sting Scorpions

Bang!

An explosion came from within the mother nest.

Su Xiao walked through a corridor with a biological structure, the sensation underfoot was as if he was stepping on rubber, and occasionally mucus dripped down from above.

Sensing the surroundings, the structure of the mother nest was very complicated, like a large ant nest, extending in all directions. Without knowing the terrain, one could easily get lost.

Five minutes ago, he got separated from Old Bar and Karlo, or rather, they were dispersed by the Insect Tribe more aptly.

Su Xiao pulled out an armor limb embedded in his abdomen and drank a bottle of Alchemy Secret Medicine.

”Can you determine the location?”

Su Xiao looked at Bubu Wang.

Bubu Wang’s nose twitched, the smell inside the mother nest made him sneeze, his dog face showing a helpless expression.

There were too many insects in the mother nest, and there were at least thousands of scorpions. It wasn’t the scorpions that were dangerous but rather another kind of Insect Tribe called the Flying Mantis.

The Flying Mantis looked similar to a scorpion, but its body was more slender, and it had a pair of flesh wings, allowing it to fly at low altitudes.

Encountering this kind of insect in the corridors of the mother nest wasn’t a big deal, but in open spaces, it was quite troublesome.

This insect’s comprehensive attributes weren’t strong, but they could spray strong acid, which had extremely lethal damage. Su Xiao and his group were dispersed by the Flying Mantis.

Su Xiao continued moving forward; although he didn’t have a sense of direction inside the mother nest, he headed towards wherever there was the sound of fighting.

Two minutes later, Su Xiao arrived at a clearing.

The clearing was filled with numerous insect eggs, their surfaces milky white, with creatures writhing inside.

In the center of the clearing, Su Xiao saw some broken branches of vegetation, and nearby, there were scorched marks.

Old Bar and others had previously engaged with the Insect Tribe here and got injured; there were red blood stains on the ground.

Old Bar and others had already left, and judging by the large hole that had been burnt through on one side, Old Bar and Karlo left in a hurry.

Su Xiao needed to rendezvous with Old Bar for a simple reason: he didn’t understand the terrain here.

Drip.

The sound of water droplets came, Su Xiao’s pupils contracted intensely, and he instinctively jumped back.

Whoosh.

Green liquid spouted as a fleeting shadow sprung down from above, the large pincer on its tail deeply embedded into the ground of the mother nest.

This was a scorpion, but unlike an ordinary scorpion, this one was several sizes larger, and its shell was a purplish-red color.

Su Xiao felt something was off about this scorpion and immediately used the ”Eye of Havana” to check the opponent’s information.

[Comparing both sides’ Intelligence Attributes..., comparison complete, my side’s Intelligence is 1.482 times that of the enemy’s, obtaining 100% of the enemy’s information.]

Skill 5: Combat Instinct (Active), fights using instinct, with the whole body being a weapon.

...

Without a doubt, the Elite Scorpion was very strong, and more importantly, this guy had independent thinking and wouldn’t charge headlong like other scorpions.

The Elite Scorpion had a total of five skills, and in Su Xiao’s opinion, the most troublesome was ’Combat Instinct’.

The scorpion’s physiology was born for combat, and after gaining this skill, its combat strength must be off the charts.

Blue Steel Shadow was fully activated; by now, there was no need to think about conserving stamina.

The Elite Scorpion pulled its tail pincers from the ground, flicked off the green liquid, and began to side-step and circle around to Su Xiao’s side; it understood how to ambush, how to use tactics.

The Elite Scorpion’s eyes, wrapped in a transparent shell, stared at Su Xiao, with brutality and anger in those eyes.

Seeing such a gaze, Su Xiao’s expression became more solemn. This creature had intelligence, and its danger level would be exponentially increased.

A thought suddenly appeared in Su Xiao’s mind—perhaps this thing was the Insect Tribe Queen’s personal guard; otherwise, it wouldn’t be so strong. If that were true, then he might be very close to the Insect Queen.

Su Xiao wasn’t wrong; the Elite Scorpion was indeed the Queen of the Insect Clan’s guard, and the Queen had just faced off with Old Bar and others.

Bubu Wang noticed the battle was about to begin and nimbly hid among the insect eggs, all auras activated, deeply understanding the essence of the healer’s cautious nature during battles.

Just as Su Xiao was about to engage this Elite Scorpion, rapid running sounds came from the side passage.

A closer look revealed it was Old Bar and Karlo. They looked embarrassed, with steam rising all over, and their body temperatures were above 190 degrees.

Upon seeing Su Xiao, Old Bar showed a delighted expression, but noticing that Elite Scorpion made Old Bar and Karlo come to an abrupt halt.

Old Bar and Karlo were being chased, chased by ten Elite Scorpions and five Flying Mantises.

Su Xiao calmly sheathed his sword and signaled Bubu Wang on the side, then both ran off simultaneously, as synchronized as if they were one.

He could handle within five Elite Scorpions, but more than that would be very troublesome.

Old Bar’s mouth opened and closed, staring at Su Xiao in disbelief.

By the time Old Bar reacted, Su Xiao and Bubu Wang had already run far away.

”Ally, wait for me.”

Old Bar’s shouts carried a trembling tone; Su Xiao ran too decisively. He had initially intended for Su Xiao to help him hold off these scorpions, but Old Bar thought too much; Su Xiao wouldn’t help him block them.

With the threat of Elite Scorpions behind them, Old Bar and Karlo also started running.

Su Xiao was at the front, Bubu Wang behind him, Old Bar and Karlo slightly lagged behind, and lastly were the continuous sounds of scuttling and screeching.

In an instant, the mother nest was in chaos; Su Xiao occasionally threw back a Special level Alchemy Bomb, but the Elite Scorpions were fearless, charging forward despite the bomb.

Su Xiao threw out another bomb, and a scream from a Flying Mantis came from behind.

Two forked paths appeared ahead; Su Xiao randomly picked one and rushed in. Unexpectedly, as soon as he entered the fork, three more paths appeared in front of him.

With Elite Scorpions pursuing from behind, Su Xiao had no choice but to randomly choose again.

Old Bar faced the same situation, so as soon as the three converged, they were separated again. This time the situation was worse; Su Xiao and Bubu Wang got split up.

Luckily, Bubu Wang could sense Su Xiao’s location; as long as he didn’t encounter danger, Bubu Wang could find Su Xiao. Actually, even encountering danger wouldn’t be much of a problem; Bubu Wang could infiltrate the enemy, and he had even disguised as a dairy cow before; impersonating a scorpion was just child’s play.

After running a certain distance, Su Xiao’s steps stopped as he arrived at a special location.

If the previous mother nest was a biological structure and depicted the Insect Tribe’s style, the current scene presented a massive change. The surroundings were a steel-structured corridor, transforming from the Insect Tribe style to sci-fi.

[Prompt: Hunter has arrived at Sky Spaceship No. 3, the ’Core Energy’ of this spaceship can be retrieved.]

A prompt from Reincarnation Paradise suddenly appeared; Su Xiao was stunned, the mother nest actually encased a Sky Spaceship.
