Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 459: Chapter 31: Seed

The scheming woman squatted on the ground, placing a small mirror on her knee.

A gust of wind swept by, and a figure appeared beside her. After applying lipstick, the scheming woman pursed her lips, nodding with satisfaction.

”Are you here to kill me? If you are, I would be grateful.”

The scheming woman looked at Su Xiao, her face full of smiles. She no longer cared about the rumbling sounds and the slightly trembling ground around her.

”How did you do it?”

Su Xiao looked around; it was early dawn, and the sky was just beginning to lighten.

Around the valley, an overwhelming number of wild beasts charged towards the valley, like black waves surging from all directions. These beasts numbered in the tens of thousands and were of various species.

For so many wild beasts to gather without attacking each other was not normal.

Could it be that the scheming woman controlled these beasts?

Su Xiao dismissed the thought. It was impossible. If one could control a beast army of this scale, they could traverse anywhere but the deepest Black Forest with ease.

Hearing Su Xiao’s question, the scheming woman smiled even brighter.

”When I ventured deep into the Red Soil Area, I discovered a secret. As for what secret...”

The scheming woman looked at Su Xiao with a sly smile, unwilling to reveal the secret.

The surrounding beasts surged closer, seemingly targeting the scheming woman.

”Roar!”

A furious roar echoed from afar. Under this roar, some of the charging beasts went weak in the legs.

The giant centipede Su Xiao had seen when he first landed on the island was also within the beast army, highlighting the dire situation he was in.

There was no escape route unless Su Xiao could fly.

Unfortunately, flying was an extremely rare ability. Although some bloodlines carried it, Reincarnation Paradise didn’t provide flying vehicles.

In some Derivative Worlds, being able to fly was a near-invincibility, hence certified flying vehicles in Paradise were scarce.

”Bubu.”

Su Xiao called Bubu Wang nearby.

”Can you infiltrate the enemy?”

Hearing Su Xiao’s inquiry, Bubu Wang lifted his dog head, the expression clearly indicating ”of course, no problem.”

”Find a way to escape on your own, then meet near the Yasenman Tribe.”

Bubu Wang stood motionless.

”...”

Su Xiao stared at Bubu Wang. A few seconds later, Bubu Wang turned and dashed down the slope. No matter the situation, Bubu Wang would not disobey Su Xiao’s orders.

”You actually sent your dog to its death first, you heartless guy.”

The scheming woman mocked.

Su Xiao suddenly turned around, raising his hand for a slash.

With a squelch, the scheming woman’s head flew off, blood spraying from her severed neck.

The scheming woman’s head, flying through the air, looked shocked. In her mind, there was still some time before the beasts could rush up the slope. Su Xiao would waste time talking with her, at least asking about her intricate plan, allowing her to disdain him with her superior intelligence.

Unfortunately, Su Xiao had no habit of wasting words with enemies. After asking once and getting an evasive response, he chose to slash directly.

The headless body fell, and Su Xiao quickly stepped forward, searching the scheming woman.

The sound of tearing cloth rang out; Su Xiao wasn’t taking advantage but was searching for the reason behind the wild beast frenzy.

After a thorough search, Su Xiao found several black seeds in the scheming woman’s undergarments.

Three black seeds in total, about the size of dragon eyes, with a rugged surface.

Holding the three black seeds, Su Xiao felt a sudden agitation within, but checking their details revealed little information.

[Original Seed]

Quality: Purple

Type: Unknown

Rating: 1-150

Description: O faith of the sun, you grant us light, please use wild flames to burn away all evil.

...

Su Xiao frowned deeply. What kind of strange description was this, mentioning the sun and burning away evil?

More puzzling was the rating of 1 to 150—what did that mean?

Though Su Xiao was baffled, he noticed that the beasts charging the slope were now focused menacingly on the [Original Seed] in his hands.

”Roar!”

A three-meter-long leopard was first to leap up the slope, charging recklessly at Su Xiao.

This leopard was not a particularly formidable beast, yet it was not to be trifled with either.

Su Xiao put away the black seeds; discarding them now would be pointless, as the beast horde had already surrounded him.

Su Xiao gripped his blade with his right hand, staring unblinkingly at the leopard.

The leopard’s claws sank into the soil, and it leaped towards Su Xiao.

Su Xiao crouched low, taking a deep breath, and slashed at the leopard.

The blade of the Dragon Slash first cut through the leopard’s skin, then its muscles and bones.

With a splatter, the leopard was cleaved into two, Su Xiao wielding its upper half and flinging it downhill.

Before being fully surrounded by beasts, Su Xiao had found himself a high point; the nearby beasts had to charge uphill to reach him.

Without such favorable terrain, he’d be doomed.

Yet, given the current situation, Su Xiao was still doomed. Even if he managed to kill thousands of beasts, tens of thousands were surrounding him.

The beasts at the forefront were quick runners, not large in size, relatively manageable. 𝑓𝑟ℯℴ𝓂

Su Xiao kicked away a fluffy rabbit—if even a little rabbit joined in, the black seeds indeed had an irresistible allure for beasts.

A small antelope-like beast charged Su Xiao, its sharp horns poised to stab.

Su Xiao slashed diagonally, severing the approaching horns.

Beasts converged from all directions, overwhelming him momentarily.

Blood splattered, beast limbs scattered, all those daring to charge up the slope were slaughtered by Su Xiao.

A few drops of beast blood splashed onto Su Xiao’s face. Even in this desperate situation, he hadn’t given up.

Su Xiao was waiting for a suitable beast to appear, having already set his sights on a target.

Running sounds, beastly wails, blades slicing flesh, the gushing of blood.

Amidst this cacophony, Su Xiao’s perception was bogged down by the sheer number of beasts around him.

”Roar～.”

A low roar sounded, Su Xiao’s back burned with pain and pressure as a lion pounced on him, its claws digging into his back, its jaws lunging for his throat.

Dragon Slash reversed in his hand, and before the lion’s jaws could close, Dragon Slash was thrust into its mouth.

With a spurt.

The blade pierced through the lion’s brain, dropping a green treasure chest.

Ignoring the green treasure chest, Dragon Slash was withdrawn from the lion’s maw to stab into another beast’s heart.

This couldn’t go on; Su Xiao would eventually tire.

Flicking the blood off Dragon Slash, Su Xiao sheathed it.

The cleaving suddenly halted, wild beasts roared and surged forward, dozens of beasts of various kinds lunged at Su Xiao, their gaping maws ready to bite.

Su Xiao gripped his sword’s hilt, his breath gradually steadying.

Beasts swarmed Su Xiao, and in that critical moment, a flash of blue light emanated from the beasts’ center.

Clang.

A circular blade aura expanded outward, neatly bisecting the beasts.

This was a move Su Xiao conceived in a moment of inspiration—not particularly strong but highly practical under siege.
