Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”What is that?!”

Not only were Misaka Mikoto and Saten Reiko in front shocked, but Feli and Kuroko Shirai behind were also struck speechless with shock at the sight.

This thing was simply beyond their comprehension!

They had previously been curious about the strange weapon Alisa held in her hand, as it was both large and eye-catching. But no matter how they looked at it, it always seemed like an ordinary, metal-forged greatsword.

Yet now, that greatsword had somehow ”grown” a mouth, and it was eating... a creature?

”I see, so this is why they are called God Eaters.”

Fang Zheng wasn’t as surprised, just nodded with curiosity. Previously, when they referred to themselves as ”GOD EATERS,” Fang Zheng was puzzled, wondering how they dared to eat gods. Now, seeing this scene, Fang Zheng finally understood that God Eater meant devouring Wild Gods...

And the one eating the Wild God was a Divine Machine...

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng snapped his fingers.

”Continue fighting, why are you spacing out?”

”Ah, yes!”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Misaka Mikoto and Saten Reiko regained their senses and hurriedly swung their weapons and charged forward.

Unfortunately, the Wild God couldn’t withstand the assault from three people, and in a moment, with a wail, fell silently to the ground.

Just when everyone planned to approach Alisa to inquire about her Divine Machine, they saw Alisa suddenly raise her Divine Machine. Quickly, a mass of blurred flesh emerged from behind the Divine Machine, forming into a giant mouth. Then, Alisa pushed forward with her right hand, and the gargantuan maw ”chomped” and swallowed the Wild God directly!

”Wait, you ate it?!”

Watching the scene, Misaka Mikoto was dumbfounded, but Alisa merely returned the Divine Machine and gave her a silent glance.

”If the Wild God’s corpse is left behind, other Wild Gods will eat it and evolve into stronger Wild Gods, so we must ensure all threats are eliminated.”

”But... when Captain Amamiya Ryōtan fought the Ghost Face Wild God with us, he never ate any?”

Saten Reiko voiced her own doubt. She clearly remembered that during the battle, Amamiya Ryōtan just swung his Divine Machine normally.

Otherwise, everyone wouldn’t have been so surprised by Alisa’s Divine Machine.

”The Ghost Face Wild God is the lowest level of Wild Gods, so ignoring them has no consequence, but the one here is different. If left, it might become a meal for other Wild Gods. Moreover, Captain Amamiya’s Divine Machine is outdated; it’s completely different from my second-generation Divine Machine...”

However, Alisa’s words were cut off by Feli’s voice drifting down from the air.

”Careful, there’s a life response approaching from the two o’clock and ten o’clock directions!”

With Feli’s warning, two massive creatures with human faces and beast bodies suddenly leaped from the ruins, encircling the three.

”Classmate Saten, you and Miss Alisa handle that one. I’ll deal with the one over here!”

Facing the human-faced creature, Misaka Mikoto swallowed, then shouted loudly, and Saten Reiko looked at her in surprise.

”Is it okay, Classmate Misaka?”

”No problem, I’m LV5 after all!”

Indeed...

With these words, Saten Reiko nodded, then turned and, together with Alisa, went to handle the other creature. Meanwhile, Misaka Mikoto tightened her grip on her battle hammer, eyeing the monstrous creature.

”Let’s see what you’ve got!”

”----------!!”

Unclear if the Wild God understood Misaka Mikoto’s words, it roared furiously towards her, then leaped up, mouth wide open, lunging at Misaka Mikoto. She swiftly jumped back, once more raising her hammer which transformed into a cannon. A series of electric beams shot forth, striking the Wild God’s head.

The impact made the human-faced Wild God howl, flipping over and collapsing.

But Misaka Mikoto didn’t stop there. She suddenly lifted her hammer, returning to its original form, and dealt a heavy blow to the fallen Wild God, sending it flying. Simultaneously, the four diamond-shaped items on the sides of her hammer, which appeared decorative, quickly detached, swirling around Misaka Mikoto as beams of light shot at the Wild God. Holding the hammer once more, Misaka Mikoto charged, delivering another powerful strike and knocking the Wild God flat to the ground!

”Sister Dear! You look so cool!”

Upon seeing this, Kuroko Shirai started fangirling again, while Fang Zheng just shrugged.

”To be honest, initially, I didn’t support Misaka Mikoto doing this.”

As Fang Zheng said, he hadn’t initially considered crafting a weapon for Misaka Mikoto like the one for Saten Reiko, because Saten Reiko lacks power and needs fixed skills to compensate for damage and attack. But Misaka Mikoto is a Level 5, and she manipulates electromagnetic force, one of the four fundamental forces. Essentially, unless she encounters someone else who controls fundamental forces, like Hainara Kuon now, she doesn’t have many enemies.

However, after Misaka Mikoto lost the battle against ”Little Mi,” Fang Zheng realized he had underestimated things. Misaka Mikoto is ultimately just a middle school student, unlike battle elites like Katori or Kurumi. Her daily life isn’t filled with constant witch combat for warm-ups like Akemi Homura and other magical girls. Plus, Fang Zheng’s repeated interventions practically cut off Misaka Mikoto’s ”upgrade path,” so her battles now rely mostly on spontaneous reaction, which is why she lost previously.

If Saten Reiko has no choice, Misaka Mikoto faces too many choices and doesn’t know how to fight. She often uses electric shocks and Railgun, along with manipulating iron sand. Except for Railgun, which is a fixed skill, everything else is used depending on Misaka Mikoto’s own ideas.

But precisely because it’s so free, Misaka Mikoto’s own knowledge reserve isn’t enough, leading to this situation.

If Misaka Mikoto could deeply understand and master the essence of electromagnetic force, she might not be unbeatable, but dealing with Accelerator would be more manageable.

Yet, Misaka Mikoto is still in a learning phase, and she’s not as proactive in this area as Hainara Kuon, who has already started self-studying string theory, while Misaka is still following Tokiwadai’s educational plan.

Fang Zheng mentions Hainara Kuon first not just because of her academic prowess but also her combat ability; Hainara Kuon’s Level 5 gravitational control capability is indeed sufficient to handle Accelerator.

It’s no surprise Accelerator got kicked off the top spot by Fang Zheng.

Simply put, Misaka Mikoto currently lacks combat experience and theoretical knowledge, resulting in untapped potential.

So ultimately, Fang Zheng had no choice but to follow Jess’s template and build something for her...at least to compensate for Misaka Mikoto’s current combat shortcomings.

By the way, Misaka Mikoto’s request for Fang Zheng to shape that hammer into Guatai was rejected outright.

Taking something like that outside, you might not mind the embarrassment, but I do.

Dealing with these two Wild Gods wasn’t unexpected; Fang Zheng didn’t even need to take action, just stood at the back with Kuroko Shirai and Feli, shouting encouragement. Although these two Wild Gods did possess significant strength, and could freely manipulate and launch ice, under the trio’s cooperation, soon, the human-faced Wild Gods fell, wailing.

But for the trio, it was quite exhausting.

”Phew...”

Seeing the Wild God in front shaking its massive body then falling, Saten Reiko let out a deep breath, at the same time, the blade at her hand reverted to Lei, standing by her side.

”Reiko, are you okay?”

”Yeah, I’m fine... Miss Alisa, what about you?”

”I’m okay...”

Alisa also took a breath, then shook her head, staring intently at the face of the Wild God as if contemplating something, and just then, a petal drifted past the trio, and Feli’s voice sounded again.

”Be careful, I sense another life signal... straight ahead at twelve o’clock!”

”Another one?!”

Hearing this, Saten Reiko was startled and quickly looked ahead, then she immediately saw a Wild God standing at the ruins’ top in the distance, staring coldly at them.

Like the ones they defeated, that Wild God also had a human face and animal body, but its face wasn’t similar to the female-like face; it had a male visage, with a thick beard visible on its chin. That Wild God stared at the trio from afar, then after a moment, turned and left.

”Phew...”

Seeing it turn away, Reiko let out a breath of relief.

”Is that really a creature? Why does it look so human... Miss Alisa, Miss Alisa?”

Speaking, Reiko turned her head puzzled towards Alisa, only to be surprised finding Alisa not responding. She was just staring intently in the direction the Wild God left, and the next moment, something unexpected happened.

”Aaaahhh!”

Alisa suddenly screamed, picked up the Divine Machine, and dashed toward the direction the Wild God left, disappearing beyond the ruins in a few bounds.

Seeing this, everyone was taken aback.

What’s going on?!
