Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Regarding Misaka Mikoto’s request, Fang Zheng expressed that he would consider it after returning and then make a decision. As for now... let’s handle the current situation first.

However...

”When will this ever end?”

Looking at the personal terminal in front of him, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly. After accompanying Fenrir’s God Eaters on a mission, Fang Zheng decisively went to the Core Reactor inside Fenrir and extracted the data again. Unfortunately, it seemed like not even ten percent of it was extracted...

Just how many pieces did that bastard split the Order Coordinates into for the Core Reactor?

This can’t go on. At this rate, who knows when it will end!

I have to think of a way to speed things up.

Back on the Void Glorious Ship, Fang Zheng frowned and continued to ponder. But what’s the solution? It’s unclear how many Mobile Cities are here, and my detectors haven’t fully explored yet. Honestly, in this world without assistance, it’s indeed a problem for Fang Zheng. In other worlds, at least Fang Zheng could rely on the little girls and the Swarm, but in this world... Well, if ignoring interactions with humans, the Swarm could indeed be quite useful.

But when dealing with humans, the people in Fang Zheng’s possession are far from sufficient, even with the addition of the tens of thousands of Little Misaka. Moreover, Fang Zheng isn’t comfortable involving the Little Misaka in these matters.

But besides that, where else can I find enough manpower for Fang Zheng to deploy?

More importantly, they must be completely obedient, without secretly sabotaging, and still possess adequate combat power... Those requirements aren’t low.

The Swarm is actually quite good; the problem lies in their appearance...

Should I consult Elune and have her adjust the appearance of Swarm’s species? For instance, transform Amoebas into Demonesses?

Hmm... That sounds rather creepy.

”Ah, Mr. Fang Zheng!”

Just as Fang Zheng was deep in thought, Ruiko came in with Lei, waving toward him.

”I’m planning to take Lei to Academy City!”

”Oh? Does Lei want to go?”

Hearing Ruiko’s inquiry, Fang Zheng glances at Lei, who nods.

”Yes, I want to see... Ruiko’s world...”

”......”

Hearing Lei’s words, Fang Zheng remains silent, then he notices Lei tightly gripping Ruiko’s sleeve — has she become such a loyal dog in just a few days?

Did you put something in her food?

”No problem, go ahead.”

This thought flashed in Fang Zheng’s mind but quickly receded. Although it’s strange, it’s not that surprising. Haven’t those blasted by Nanoha’s shots become her friends instantly? By comparison, the relationship between Ruiko and Lei doesn’t seem surprising either. As for how Ruiko will explain to Index after returning... That’s Ruiko’s own business.

”By the way, remember to wear this, for communication.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng hands over a bracelet, which Ruiko cheerfully takes, nodding to Fang Zheng.

”Okay, Mr. Fang Zheng, we’ll be back early tomorrow... By the way, I heard there’s a new game in Academy City lately, I wonder if we’ll have time to buy one and play...”

After saying this, Ruiko pulls Lei into the Teleportation Gate, instantly disappearing without a trace.

”Hehe.”

Watching their figures vanish, Fang Zheng smiles and shakes his head, but then suddenly he is struck by a thought.

”Game?! Yes! Game!”

Perhaps Ruiko’s recent complaint before leaving inspired Fang Zheng. He realized — of course! If anyone would follow his orders without straying, it would be the players! After all, players, once tasked, will proceed from start to end, without pausing until the task is complete!

Moreover, players don’t fear death, nor do they dread it, and they are numerous... Isn’t this just perfect?

Fang Zheng still remembers, before traveling back to the World of Love, he had passed by a Divine Corpse. Though not knowing the divine position during its life, its death collected the psychic power from a Demon Beast World game of some unknown multiverse, forming a new Game World.

Later, control over that Game World was also seized by Fang Zheng, and now it’s still floating in the Star Realm!

As long as I import the data from that Game World into this one, turning this world into the Game World, won’t it be much easier for me to get things done?

Of course, this isn’t something just anyone can do, but Fang Zheng is different. Not only is he a deity, but he also holds the Divine Position of the God of Games. At the same time, Fang Zheng controls the Game Divine Realm condensed from that Divine Corpse! He can completely overlay the game data and intelligence from that world onto this Fragment World and then use his personal terminal to reanalyze the data......this way, he will have an innumerable army of players!

This isn’t any worse than the Swarm!

More importantly, those players are simply spiritual entities, essentially layered composites. Even if they get polluted by Chaos, there’s no need to worry. As long as Fang Zheng controls the server, he can shut it down immediately upon noticing any issues, eliminating most hidden dangers! There’s absolutely no need to worry that Chaotic Power would impact the Main World or the Heavenly Dao Palace!

Not only that, but when Fang Zheng develops other planets and worlds in the future, he can also consider opening an ”instance” directly depending on the situation......I really am too clever.

Thinking this, Fang Zheng immediately sprang into action, opening his personal terminal and starting to write programs———connecting to that world isn’t a problem since Fang Zheng already holds its control. The current challenge is for Fang Zheng to upgrade the entire game, from the interface UI to upgrade data adjustments and job updates.

As for Skills and quests, Fang Zheng decides to first write some preliminary quests. As for other quests, he will let the Game Divine Realm automatically sense this world and update them actively.

Ah, finally back to what Laozi excels in.

Fang Zheng rubbed his hands, let out a mischievous chuckle, and then began to rapidly type on the keyboard before him.

At this moment, the door slowly opened, and Feli poked her head through the gap.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, where is everyone else?”

”Oh, they had things to do and went back first. You’ll see them tomorrow morning. Anything else?”

”......What about dinner?”

”There’s instant noodles in the fridge; make do with that.”

”......Aren’t you going to eat?”

”I’m busy right now; let’s talk tomorrow.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng waved his hand, and Feli said nothing more, simply closing the door and leaving.

”.........Idiot.”

Feli muttered under her breath, staring at the closed door, then angrily kicked the wall beside her and turned away, pouting.

Fang Zheng, at this moment, couldn’t care about appeasing Feli. He had fully immersed himself in the intense code writing process. You see, this isn’t merely about updating the UI. It’s essentially elevating an era of version updates, requiring a major overhaul from graphics, and interface, to the entire system to meet Fang Zheng’s requirements and needs. The original Demon Beast World interface is definitely insufficient; all of this needs a major overhaul.

Honestly, if this task were handed to a large game development company, it would take a year or even longer. Here, Fang Zheng is handling it alone, which obviously isn’t enough. Luckily, being a Time Dragon, Fang Zheng also has the ability to manipulate time. He has already adjusted the time around him to one-thousandth of a second, and combined with his abilities as the God of Games, Fang Zheng is determined to handle this broken world fragment’s game instance by himself!

Despite the difficulty, Fang Zheng gritted his teeth and pushed through. He had overlooked this aspect before, but after Ruiko’s reminder, Fang Zheng remembered that he also had the Divine Position of the God of Games. The God of Magical Girls wasn’t something he could easily flaunt, but there was no problem with the God of Games! Once he expands the scale and inflates the Divine Power of the God of Games to surpass that of the God of Magical Girls, then it wouldn’t be an issue!

When meeting colleagues in the future, he can confidently say, ”Laozi is the God of Games!”

That way, there’s nothing to be afraid of!

Of course, converting this Fragment World into an ”instance” requires a considerable amount of Divine Power, but Fang Zheng decided to invest it. After all, how can you make money without spending money? Although the initial stage will consume more Divine Power, once this Game World system takes shape and attracts more players, then it’ll be a treasure trove for Fang Zheng!

This is why, even though developing the system alone is indeed exhausting, Fang Zheng persevered, thinking of the day he can proudly announce his title. Suffering hardship is an honor for a god. Hard or not, think of the Long March of twenty-five thousand miles. Tired or not, think of the revolutionary forefathers!

Even so, when Fang Zheng finally completed the entire ”Divine Domain System,” dawn was breaking... As for exactly how many years had passed during this process... Fang Zheng couldn’t care less.

For a Time Dragon, time is worthless.

Next, it’s time to bring the entire Divine Domain over and start linking it for updates...

Staring at the interface before him, Fang Zheng paused momentarily, then reached out and pressed gently.

”Click.”

The next moment, a crimson radiance emerged, covering the entire sky. This burst of red light flashed across the sky like a flame igniting the whole world and then, just as quickly, everything returned to silence.

”Phew...”

Only then did Fang Zheng wearily close his eyes and let out a long sigh.

Now, it’s up to those players.
