Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Thanks to Fang Zheng’s appropriate treatment, Kuroko only rested at the institute for one day before preparing to ”discharge” the next day.

However......

”Hehehe......”

Sitting on the bed, thinking of Misaka Mikoto’s appearance yesterday, Kuroko couldn’t help but show her usual perverted smile.

For Sister Dear to even share her secrets with her, it means Kuroko’s standing in Sister Dear’s heart is getting higher and higher! But a thousand Sister Dears......ugh......just the thought makes her nose bleed......

Thinking of this, Kuroko hurriedly extended her hand to cover her nose and shook her head vigorously.

Even though Misaka Mikoto said so much, Kuroko still finds it hard to believe, especially about another world......it sounds way too fantastical, this isn’t some light novel about time travel, but Sister Dear always loves to read those childish things. Could she really think these childish tricks can fool me?

Ugh......I still need to talk to Mr. Fang Zheng about this......of course, it’s definitely not because I’m interested in that thousand Sister Dears, but before that......

Thinking of this, Kuroko reached into her bag and took out a small bottle that looked like eye drops, grinning.

Hehehe......Sister Dear......

That’s right, this is what Kuroko managed to get through a courier after failing to entice Mikoto previously! It’s a strengthened version of computer accessory 2.0! Just to be safe and avoid being discovered by Misaka Mikoto like last time, Kuroko directly changed the delivery address while she was at the Quantum Neural Research Institute and placed an order right from her hospital bed.

And the company responded efficiently, delivering it the next day.

Today, I must turn raw rice into cooked rice with Sister Dear!

Tightly gripping the bottle in her hand, Kuroko nearly drooled. She knew that Misaka Mikoto would be in Tokiwadai all day, so there was no way she would find out about the enhanced computer accessory order. Plus, Misaka Mikoto agreed to prepare snacks for her in the dormitory as an apology—though taking advantage of Sister Dear’s kindness feels a little bad, to Kuroko Shirai, this is the perfect opportunity!

Enhanced computer accessory 2.0! Those who consume it will temporarily lose self-awareness, falling into a state of chaotic instincts......and to avoid arousing Sister Dear’s suspicion, Kuroko Shirai decided to partake it together with Misaka Mikoto. After all, that’s the only way to completely lower Misaka Mikoto’s guard, right?

Even though the first time might leave no memory at all, once there’s a first......hehehe......then won’t Sister Dear......

Thinking of this, Kuroko wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth, then took out a sealed bottle of juice from her bag. Holding the computer accessory in her right hand, she placed a finger from her left hand on the bottleneck, tilting it slightly downward. Soon, she saw a thick liquid, like eye drops, oozing from the bottleneck and landing on Kuroko’s hand.

And just as that liquid touched Kuroko’s fingertip, the crystal-clear liquid vanished instantly, reappearing in the juice bottle, rapidly dissolving and merging with the juice.

”One drop......two drops......three drops......hehehe, Sister Dear absolutely won’t think of this......”

With the power of spatial movement, Kuroko quickly relocated all the ”computer accessory” into the juice bottle, then placed the bottle back on the table, examining it carefully.

Hmm, not bad, looks perfectly ordinary, just like juice you buy on the street. If Sister Dear and I each drink half, then Sister Dear will undoubtedly drink it without a second thought! Next all I need is......

Thinking about today’s ”wonderful time,” Kuroko struggled to suppress her drooling once again.

However, just as Kuroko Shirai was about to pack the drink back into her bag, suddenly her phone rang. Hearing this, Kuroko Shirai reluctantly put down the juice and picked up her phone, stepping aside.

”Hello, hello, Hatsuharu? Yes......it’s me, don’t worry, I’m already cured, ah, about yesterday’s operation......Senior Gufa needs me to submit a report? Right now? This is how you treat patients......alright, I’ll come back now!”

Hearing that it was Senior Gufa urging her from the other side, Kuroko felt a start and immediately disappeared into thin air with a flash.

Not long after Kuroko Shirai left, Rem entered the guest room and began tidying up. Seeing the bottle and backpack left by Kuroko on the table, Rem didn’t think much of it and casually organized them aside before she started cleaning......

It wasn’t until sunset that Kuroko Shirai hurriedly returned to the institute.

”What a hassle, I didn’t expect it to take so much time......”

Returning to the room, Kuroko Shirai let out a sigh of relief. She originally thought she’d just submit a report, but unexpectedly, Senior Gufa sent her to the Guard Officers, where the officers said they had caught those black-clad people. From them, they learned that these people were hired by an organization called the ”Science Society” outside of Academy City, attempting to steal back the Tree Diagram remnants from the Aerospace Industrial Zone in District 25......

Subsequently, Kuroko had no choice but to assist the Guard Officers in identifying which were the culprits she encountered yesterday, which took up more time. As for the woman who wounded her, Kuroko didn’t see her, and the Guard Officers had no information about her either...... Although a bit annoyed by this, Kuroko chose not to dwell on it.

After finally finishing with the Guard Officers’ tasks, she received a call from Hatsuharu about a situation, forcing Kuroko Shirai to continue working energetically—only now has she finally returned to the institute.

”Huaa... Sister Dear, please wait for me, today I, Kuroko, will definitely...”

Thinking about returning to the dormitory later and being united with her beloved Sister Dear, Kuroko felt full of energy!

However, at this moment...

”Ring ring...”

”...Hey hey, Hatsuharu? What’s up again? Huh? What Classmate Saten said? Oh, you really don’t need to worry, it’s actually nothing, just a minor injury, no, at that time... at that time I passed out and didn’t know anything!”

Receiving another call from Hatsuharu, Kuroko Shirai felt overwhelmed. She thought Hatsuharu had some work-related matters to discuss, but it turned out Hatsuharu was asking about what being carried princess style felt like!

This was also due to Saten Reiko being nosy. Yesterday everyone was scared to see Kuroko all covered in blood, so they didn’t think much about it, but later when Kuroko recovered, Saten Reiko naturally started making a fuss again. While visiting Duty Officer Hatsuharu, with nothing else to do, Saten Reiko recounted yesterday’s events to Hatsuharu, especially the moment when Kuroko was carried princess style by Fang Zheng, which Saten Reiko exaggerated. Hatsuharu got very excited and immediately called to ask Kuroko the truth.

”But... it must have been nice, according to Classmate Saten, Fang Zheng at that moment seemed like a superhero rescuing a princess... Classmate Shirai, do you really have no memory?”

”Well, truly none, truth be told I couldn’t pay attention to that at the time...”

Kuroko Shirai wasn’t lying; she was pierced all over by the woman with the flashlight. Although Fang Zheng promptly treated her, Kuroko was losing a lot of blood, felt dizzy, and after being picked up by Fang Zheng, she fell asleep soon after; who would remember what happened then.

Yet Hatsuharu was still trying to stir things up here...

”Huh? Really nothing like a racing heartbeat or feeling blissful?”

”You’ve just read too many romance novels. Although I am indeed grateful to Mr. Fang Zheng, we’re not the main couple from a romance novel...”

Listening to Hatsuharu’s voice from the phone, Kuroko shook her head helplessly, knowing her friend was severely affected by young lady syndrome but didn’t expect it to be this serious.

”In short, you’re overthinking it; my heart and soul belong to Sister Dear...”

With this, Kuroko Shirai sighed, feeling parched after a busy day, not to mention explaining all this to Hatsuharu.

”Yes yes... indeed, you’re overthinking it, Classmate Saten too...”

While talking on the phone, Kuroko casually picked up the juice bottle beside her.

”Alright, never mention these worthless things again... Sister Dear? No way! Absolutely nothing between Sister Dear and Mr. Fang Zheng! Plus, you saw Mr. Fang Zheng has a fiancée!”

Picking up the juice bottle, gulp gulp gulp...

Ahhh... much better.

”All in all, stop talking nonsense. Hatsuharu, you’re doing this deliberately to tease me, aren’t you? Seriously... don’t let Sister Dear hear about this... I know Sister Dear witnessed it, but truly there’s nothing between me and Mr. Fang Zheng! I’m forever loyal to Sister Dear!”

Then taking the last sip of juice, she tossed the empty bottle into the nearby trash can.

”Alright, that’s it, good night.”

While saying this, Kuroko hung up the phone, sighed again.

”Ah... what a mess... ugh...”

For no apparent reason, Kuroko suddenly felt a flame rekindle inside her, and simultaneously, the world before her eyes began to blur.

”Ugh... what’s happening...?”

Muttering to herself, Kuroko began walking out of the room.

”...Sister Dear...”

In the next moment, Kuroko’s figure disappeared into the quiet corridor.
