Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Ruiko was not new to fighting with Mages. This time, without hesitation, she swung a whirlwind, quickly knocking away the water spikes that were shot at her. But just then, a gust of berserk wind suddenly roared, slanting directly at Ruiko.

Ruiko hurriedly dodged, swiftly avoiding the oncoming storm from the side. But as she landed, suddenly felt a tightness under her feet, and then saw her right leg firmly trapped by the soil beneath!

These Mages are indeed formidable.

Although surprised inside, Ruiko wasn’t particularly alarmed, at least not for now. The opponent’s power was actually not much different from that of Ability Users, unless one summoned a Flame Giant that seemed to have a life of its own like the red-haired man she fought before. Otherwise, in Ruiko’s view, there wasn’t much difference between Superpower and Magic.

Thinking of this, Ruiko also stabbed her sword backwards into the ground, quickly sweeping away the manipulated soil with an explosion, then making a leap upward while scanning around her. Only then did she realize that two similarly dressed witches had appeared on her left and right!

Have I been surrounded?

There’s no choice, time for a big move!

At this moment, Ruiko’s eyes slightly changed. She tightened her grip on the sword blade in her hand, thrusting it forcefully into the ground. Immediately, a berserk hurricane burst forth, spreading out all around from Ruiko.

”Gale End Slash!”

The three Mages surrounding Ruiko were clearly shocked by the sudden emergence of the whirlwind. Just as they were yet to react, they saw the storm in front of them suddenly crack open, and then several sword beams appeared, rushing at them like the sharp teeth of a beast!

”Wowah!!”

”Ah-----!!”

The three Mages were unable to dodge, directly struck by Ruiko’s sword light, and screamed miserably as they were sent flying back. They hadn’t expected that the girl before them would possess such a formidable power!

Hmm... In fact, Saten Ruiko’s strength isn’t really considered powerful.

Even with the bracelet Fang Zheng gave her now, Saten Ruiko’s air flow control remains stable at LV2 level, only escalating to LV3 during big moves. Her physical quality isn’t exceptionally remarkable either. Truth be told, Saten Ruiko’s body is still akin to that of an ordinary young girl who would pant after running long distances and cannot single-handedly block a truck.

However, her utilization of ability has reached phenomenal levels... well, it’s not possible, but meticulousness has been achieved.

The ”Gale End Slash” taught to Ruiko by Fang Zheng is, of course, different from the original version. The original Yasuo is a sword master, but Ruiko and the sword master naturally have no connection. In fact, her ”Gale End Slash” is more like a collision utilization with air flow. Essentially, Ruiko first bursts out a circle of whirlwind, then envelopes her body with a layer of similar Wind Flow, subsequently advancing like a marble in a pinball machine along the whirlwind’s flow in collision acceleration.

After all, Ruiko herself can hardly achieve such speed, right?

Of course, this move isn’t easy either. The crucial point is calculating spatial angle within, or else you’d end up bouncing around like a headless fly, instead of hitting the target.

In other words, mastering this move requires understanding three-dimensional geometric space calculation...

Ruiko was driven to desperation indeed, being a poor student herself. Yet, to learn this trump card, Ruiko braced herself to toughly chew through spatial geometry!

Thus it can be seen, aim might be the best teacher.

”Ha... Ha...”

Having knocked away the three girls in one strike, Ruiko also kneels down on the ground, breathing continuously. Although her ”Gale End Slash” can deal with multiple targets simultaneously, it comes with a mathematical calculation consumption increasing by multiples, complexifying coordinate calculation—the three are her limit.

Ruiko also feels a feverish surge in her brain, akin to cramming a whole night’s scope of questions with no sleep...

”Ruiko!”

At this moment, Index’s voice rings again, startling Ruiko who initially felt somewhat dizzy, and she hurriedly clears her mind. Then she sees flames rapidly appear and expand in rotation, causing Ruiko to hastily jump back, raise her Longsword again, and watch as the flame envelops the three girls previously struck by Ruiko and falls aside, transformed into a tall, red-haired man...

”How is it you again?”

Seeing Stiyl before her, Saten Ruiko stares in shock, while Stiyl’s face remains sullen.

”How come you are here?”

”Is this my problem? Do you want to take Index again?”

”No, that’s...”

Glancing at Index not far away, Stiyl’s expression turned somewhat complex, but quickly, he adopts a stern look towards the three Mages.

”I should have said to wait for my command!”

”Sorry, Master...”

Upon hearing Stiyl’s rebuke, the three girls bowed their heads, while Stiyl frustratedly scratched his head before looking at the girl behind Saten Ruiko—Elisa.

”I am not here for you and Index. I came for that girl. Can you hand her to us?”

”Elisa? Hand her over to you? Impossible!”

Despite the decent relations with Stiyl and Kanzaki Kaori back then, because of Index’s circumstances, Ruiko has no fondness whatsoever towards the English Puritanism organization. Since they could do such cursing on such a young child, they can’t be good people!

”If that’s the case then...”

Upon hearing Ruiko’s reply, Stiyl hesitated momentarily, then raised his hand.

”Forti...!”

However, Stiyl hadn’t yet finished speaking when suddenly a sword wind dropped abruptly from above, smashing down in front of him. Seeing the sword edge, Stiyl’s face changed drastically, as a voice simultaneously rang.

”Here to deliver again? You guys never learn? This time still four? Does English Puritanism have too much money to spend?”

”Uh...”

Upon hearing this voice, Stiyl rigidly turned his head, only to find Fang Zheng standing not far away, holding a plastic bag in one hand and the Pitch Black Greatsword in the other.

”Speak up, how much are you planning to offer this time?”

”This time it’s a problem between Magic Side and Science Side!”

As soon as money was mentioned, Stiyl jumped up immediately.

”Listen up, our Magic Side and Science Side might end up in war because of that girl!”

”Oh.”

Fang Zheng responded with a casual ”oh.”

”Just this? Alright, I’ll go transfer the money now, anyway, your English Puritanism also doesn’t have money, let’s use the Royal Family’s account.”

”No, this... do you really understand?”

Stiyl was about to go crazy.

”Don’t understand, and I don’t care to. After all, what of the Magic Side? I’ve already cut down the Right Seat of the Divine, and haven’t seen the Vatican dare to utter a word in front of me. War?”

Saying this, Fang Zheng snorted coldly.

”If you want destruction, then feel free. Anyway...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng reached out his hand. Seeing Fang Zheng’s actions, Stiyl’s face changed dramatically.

”Wait a minute!”

However, Fang Zheng had already made a light cut with his fingers.

”Four people, totaling eighty million pounds. As a gesture for returning customers, I gave you a discount. Done, it’s on the account of the Royal Bank, you can leave now. Ten minutes, leave in ten minutes or I’ll take another deduction.”

”We’ll leave now!”

This time, without a second thought, Stiyl hurriedly dragged and pulled the three bewildered mage girls to flee in an instant, disappearing without a trace.

The budget for the British Royal Court next year is gone, and the Highest Bishop wouldn’t come knocking on their door, would he?!

”Humph.”

Watching the group of forlorn dogs leave without a trace, Fang Zheng coldly snorted and returned to the side of Ruiko and the others.

”Here, your drinks.”

”Ah, thank you...”

Taking the drink, Elisa felt completely at a loss. Attacked out of nowhere, then something about magic was mentioned, and they fled... What was this all about?

Faced with such events, naturally, no one had the interest to continue wandering around, so very soon they bid farewell and left. Fang Zheng returned to the research institute, while Elisa went to Ruiko’s house. Although those people had fled, Ruiko didn’t know if any other mages would come for Elisa, so to be safe, she took Elisa home; at least there, she should be safe.

”Thank you, Ruiko.”

Sitting in the bathtub and watching Ruiko washing Index’s hair, Elisa also breathed a sigh of relief. Although the previous attack had passed, she still felt a bit scared; after all, a group of people suddenly came to capture her, leaving her clueless.

If she went home alone now, she might also feel scared.

”You’re welcome.”

As she continued washing Index’s hair, Ruiko waved her hand with a grin.

”Aren’t we friends?”

”Yes... You all are my friends...”

Hearing Ruiko’s reply, Elisa couldn’t help but smile.

”It’s the first time I’ve made friends.”

”Eh? Didn’t you have friends before?”

Hearing this, Ruiko was a little surprised, while Elisa shook her head.

”It’s not like that. In fact... I lost my memory three years ago.”

”Lost your memory?”

At this point, Ruiko and Index turned their heads curiously to look at Elisa, while Elisa nodded.

”In fact, even this name was given by the people at the orphanage. I have no memory, no belongings of my own...”

”Elisa...”

”But I believe, as long as I continue singing, I will surely find what I lost.”

”Yes, go for it, Elisa!”

Upon hearing this, Index raised her hands in encouragement for Elisa, while Ruiko also clenched her fist tightly.

”That’s right, Elisa, although you have no past memories, you have beliefs, don’t you? As long as you have beliefs, it’s not a problem at all. Plus, losing memories isn’t scary; we can help you create new ones!”

”Thank you...”

Looking at Ruiko and Index before her, Elisa gave a gentle smile.

”You’re welcome. We are all good friends... By the way, why don’t you stay here these days and be with us? In case someone comes to bother you again, we can help, and Mr. Fang Zheng will be here too!”

”This... won’t it be troubling for you?”

”Not at all, actually this little one almost got captured too; Mr. Fang Zheng said there are still people watching her, yet we are still living here, aren’t we?”

”Is that so?”

Surprised, Elisa looked at Index, having never expected such a thing.

”By the way, what are those mages you mentioned earlier? Aren’t they ability users?”

”Ah, that... better let Index explain it to you...”
