Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

A few days later, Fang Zheng received Elisa’s call again.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, I passed the selection!”

”Congratulations, congratulations.”

Hearing Elisa’s excited voice over the phone, Fang Zheng chuckled.

”So what next?”

”Well... They informed me to go to the Sky Gate Rail Company before eight tomorrow morning to sign the contract and participate in a promotional LIVE...”

”Okay, I got it. Let’s meet tomorrow morning, will Reiko and the others be there too?”

”Yes!”

It’s obvious Saten Reiko wouldn’t miss a lively occasion like this.

”Alright, that’s settled then.”

With the agreement made, Fang Zheng arrived at the appointed location early the next morning, but he wasn’t alone.

”Elisa, is she that online singer?”

”I quite like her songs, and now she’s going to sign a contract?”

”I’ve listened too, indeed her songs are nice...”

Chattering behind Fang Zheng were not only Riko and Frenda but also Misaka Mikoto, Kuroko Shirai, Hatsuharu, and even Emilia among them.

And the reason for this... is quite simple.

Elisa received the selection notification and excitedly informed Fang Zheng. Reiko and Index, living with her these days, naturally knew about it too. There was no need to keep this secret, and so with the idea of sharing happiness, Reiko happily told Hatsuharu, who in turn informed Kuroko Shirai.

Once Kuroko Shirai knew, Misaka Mikoto certainly knew too. While chatting, they also shared this news with Hainara Kuon, who coincidentally had been listening to Elisa’s songs recently and was quite interested. As for Emilia and the others, although they didn’t know Elisa initially (since they don’t go online), hearing the lively discussions at the research institute piqued their curiosity. After listening to the recommended songs, Emilia and the Priestess of the Goddess wanted to check out the special singing girl.

Thus, when Elisa, Saten Reiko, and Index arrived at the meeting spot, they were almost scared by the sight of a large group waiting for them, almost thinking they had mistakenly come to a fan meetup.

Such was the gossip spreads among women, each seemingly at LV5 level.

Fortunately, Fang Zheng introduced everyone, exchanged names, and conversations, there were no issues. The large crowd accompanying her made Elisa feel more at ease. Afterwards, they took the tram to the Sky Rail Gate Company’s office floor.

Throughout the ride, Hatsuharu enthusiastically introduced Sky Rail Gate Company’s history, including its near-collapse due to Orion incident three years ago, its acquisition, and a ten-year-old girl as its current president, which intrigued everyone.

While the girls chatted upfront, Fang Zheng walked behind, but this time his main focus wasn’t on anyone else but Hainara Kuon.

At that moment, Hainara Kuon was chatting with Misaka Mikoto, occasionally chuckling lightly, appearing as a graceful girl, yet Fang Zheng found it quite odd.

Right then...

”Why are you staring at Classmate Hainara?”

Kuroko’s voice came from beside Fang Zheng. He turned to find her glaring at him displeased.

”Are you interested in Classmate Hainara too?”

”Do I seem like that kind of person?”

Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow, looked around, then reached out to smack Kuroko’s butt, causing her to nearly shout—though she held back, considering Misaka Mikoto was right ahead.

”Then why are you staring at Classmate Hainara?”

”Oh, I’m just curious.”

”Curious?”

”Exactly...”

As Fang Zheng spoke, he looked again at Hainara Kuon. Others might not see it, but Fang Zheng could—Hainara Kuon’s soul was male. Yet, her every action, smile, and expression was almost flawlessly feminine, leaving Fang Zheng puzzled about Hainara Kuon’s intentions.

Even when Fang Zheng used his Red Ponytail’s persona, his mannerisms and tone remained largely unchanged, making interactions appear boyish. But with Red Ponytail’s youthful appearance, such quirks only seemed cute.

Girls who behave tomboyishly aren’t unheard of either.

But executing a female performance so naturally... it baffled Fang Zheng how Hainara Kuon managed it.

Of course, Fang Zheng himself played Red Ponytail merely as an alternate persona, acting freely without changing his usual behavior. Red Ponytail didn’t seem like a delicate young lady and acting a bit boyishly, like crossing legs, would come across as cute.

Conversely, Hainara Kuon appeared as an elegant lady, scholarly and polite. Imagining such a girl lying on a couch scratching her belly or picking her toes seemed impossible.

”Anyway, I’m not interested in her, don’t worry and don’t get jealous.”

Fang Zheng said while casually touching Kuroko again, making her blush.

”Who-who’s jealous! Nonsense, humph!”

Kuroko flashed away from Fang Zheng’s sight, leaving him to shrug and look forward again.

This time, he wasn’t lying. Despite Hainara Kuon’s external beauty, Fang Zheng wasn’t ordinary; he could see her internal soul being male!

Even if he had such thoughts, realizing the soul inside was a man’s was... well...

Honestly, compared to Felix, the cat-eared crossdresser beside Crusch, it was more acceptable.

At least Felix had body and soul in alignment.

Although from a certain angle, this is rather perverse.

Soon, everyone arrived at the Sky Rail Gate’s work area, where the staff were busy preparing for the upcoming performance.

”I’m Elisa Minori, pleased to meet you all!”

”Pleased to meet you.”

The staff quickly responded, and then an office lady walked over, causing Elisa to hurriedly bow her head.

”Thank you for your support.”

”You’re welcome, ah, who are these people......”

”Hello, miss.”

At this moment, Fang Zheng cleared his throat, walked up, and handed over his business card.

”I’m Fang Zheng, currently serving as Elisa Minori’s producer. Nice to meet you. These are Elisa’s friends, here this time to support her.”

”I see, they are quite the cute cheerleaders.”

After taking Fang Zheng’s business card, the woman nodded and then pulled out their contract.

”Please follow me......”

As she spoke, the woman led Fang Zheng and Elisa to a nearby booth to discuss the contract, while the others watched their negotiation from outside through the glass.

”It feels like Mr. Fang Zheng can do anything.”

Ruiko couldn’t help but sigh.

”Yeah, not only can he do research, but he even has experience as a producer......”

”Is there anything Mr. Fang Zheng can’t do?”

”He definitely can’t give birth, hahaha.”

”Classmate Saten, that joke is so cold......”

As everyone was chatting, they saw Fang Zheng and the woman shake hands inside the booth, then Elisa picked up a pen and signed her name on the contract. After exchanging a few words, Fang Zheng turned his head and looked at everyone outside.

”.........”

For some reason, Ruiko suddenly felt a chill down her spine.

Soon, the three came out, and Fang Zheng exchanged a glance with the woman, then looked at the young girls in front of him.

”Interested in going on stage?”

”Eh.........?”

Upon hearing this, the girls were dumbfounded.

Since the intent had been established beforehand, signing the contract was merely a formality, and after signing, the next step for Elisa was to cooperate with the Sky Rail Gate Company for promotional and performance activities. Meanwhile, the other girls also received a temporary job, which was to go on stage and assist Elisa in her promotion.

Of course, this wasn’t asking the girls to sing and dance; in fact, given their attractiveness, simply standing there would be enough to draw the audience’s attention. What they did was merely go on stage and greet the audience below—essentially like handing out flyers at the supermarket entrance.

And considering the situation, Saten Ruiko was the first to respond, followed by Misaka Mikoto and Kuroko Shirai, Hatsuharu was no exception either. As for the other girls, either they weren’t familiar enough with Elisa, or they didn’t like public appearances, so they just watched from below.

Only Megumin expressed interest in launching ”fireworks” for excitement, but Fang Zheng dragged her away without a word.

However, after taking the stage......

”Ugh......”

Saten Ruiko pressed down on the hem of her skirt, caught in a dilemma of whether to sit or stand, and the others found this quite odd.

”Classmate Saten, what’s wrong?”

”No, this skirt is too short......”

”Is it?”

Misaka Mikoto and Kuroko Shirai expressed no pressure, as the skirt length was similar to Tokiwadai’s school uniform, and Hatsuharu didn’t even notice the issue, enthusiastically waving at the audience below. As for Elisa, she was singing and dancing at the front, attracting the passing audience in the shopping street.

They didn’t expect Ruiko to have this side.

Seeing this, Fang Zheng was rather curious. But thinking carefully, Shaketani Middle School’s uniform seems to be a long skirt, and although Ruiko often changes clothes, she usually wears skinny pants or jeans. Even when she wears short skirts, she pairs them with long pants underneath.

Could it be that she’s not used to wearing mini skirts?

This is quite a discovery.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng picked up his personal terminal, silently snapped a photo from a forty-five-degree angle of Saten Ruiko’s skirt underneath, then flashed and disappeared into the crowd.

At this moment, in the underground passage below the shopping street stage, a man with sunglasses was busy with something. He quickly picked up one odd square machine after another, and attached them to the pillars below the stage, then swiftly fixed, activated them, and......

”Thud!”

Even before the man could stand up, a hand suddenly stretched out from behind and grabbed his head, smashing it into the pillar in front.

At the same time, Fang Zheng slowly emerged from the shadows.

”Our little lady is busy promoting; don’t cause trouble, okay?”
