Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Fang Zheng grinned as he looked at Hainara Kuon in front of him. He had a bit of an understanding of her temperament. She was the type to progress steadily, neither pushing herself too hard nor relaxing in improving her abilities. Usually, this was a good approach, but the situation was different now. Fang Zheng hoped she could advance to LV5 before the Daihasei Festival started, allowing him to use the opportunity to change her ranking. After all, such chances were rare and hard to come by.

So it seemed that Fang Zheng had to put a little pressure on Hainara Kuon. Otherwise, continuing at this rate, although she would eventually reach LV5, who knew when that would be.

”This... Mr. Fang Zheng...”

By contrast, Hainara Kuon appeared somewhat flustered. She had never met someone as cheeky as Fang Zheng before, and was at a loss for what to do.

”What’s the big deal? Looking won’t make you lose anything, and besides, we’re both men, why should you be afraid?”

”Eh!? You........”

Upon hearing this, Hainara Kuon’s face turned pale.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, how did you......”

”I can see your soul. I’m not sure how you did it, but your original soul was clearly male.”

Fang Zheng chuckled, leaning back casually in his chair.

”So don’t think I’ll go easy on you. Work hard, now you know I’m not joking. If it were an ordinary girl, I might not be so strict, but for you... hmm, I feel no pressure at all.”

”Ugh... Alright........”

At this point, Hainara Kuon realized she had no choice, so she closed her eyes and began to sense everything around her. Soon, she opened her eyes in surprise.

”This is......”

”Feeling something?”

”Yes, but Mr. Fang Zheng, I don’t understand, with such power, why don’t you......”

Hainara Kuon couldn’t comprehend. She could understand that manipulating time-space dimensions to this degree meant Fang Zheng’s strength far surpassed hers. Logically, Fang Zheng would achieve better results himself, not to mention he was the Chairman of Academy City, wasn’t he?

”First, I don’t have much time. Secondly, I’m not particularly fond of theoretical exploration. Lastly, you’re actually better suited for this image than I am.”

”I-is that so?”

”Exactly, a girl, especially one who seems delicate, regardless of her achievements, is often inadvertently not perceived as a threat, and your demeanor fits this perfectly.”

Fang Zheng pointed again at Hainara Kuon. Her external aura was that of an amicable, elegant young lady. No matter her actual strength, the first impression on others was always associated with fragile beauty, unknowingly reducing resistance and aggression.

The representative of Academy City didn’t need to be excessively aggressive. Characters like Accelerator and Atomic Collapse were almost the perfect evidence for external rumors that Academy City produced ”monsters.” Even Misaka Mikoto, with her personality, wasn’t suitable as the representative of the entire Academy City.

As for Shihou Souki, although her appearance was passable, once her abilities were revealed, she would definitely become a target.

The existence of Psychological Grasp is original sin. Revealing it would only lead to more problems.

Conversely, Hainara Kuon’s unthreatening appearance was likable, and though her ability was grandiose, it didn’t threaten the foundations of the ruling class. After much consideration, Fang Zheng really couldn’t find a more suitable representative for Academy City than her.

”Furthermore, this isn’t just your problem. You should know that externally, ability users from Academy City have always been viewed as monsters. It’s true that the former Academy City may not have minded this, but in the future, we aim to become a center for academic exchange, inevitably interacting with outsiders. A perfect benchmark for demonstrating the ability users is extremely important. Do you understand now? Isn’t your current model portrayal of Tokiwadai’s Young Lady compatible with presenting the image of an Academy City superpower user to the outside world?”

”Yes......”

”Then let’s continue.”

Upon hearing Hainara Kuon’s response, Fang Zheng nodded and glanced at his watch.

”We still have plenty of time.”

”Uh......”

Confronted with Fang Zheng’s words, Hainara Kuon’s face changed. She then closed her eyes again, but this time with a more serious expression.

Soon, an hour had passed.

”It’s been an hour.”

Fang Zheng leaned against the chair, looking at Hainara Kuon, and snapped his fingers. Instantly, she lost a piece of her uniform. As a Tokiwadai student, her uniform was the same as Misaka Mikoto’s and Kuroko Shirai’s, with a knitted vest over a short-sleeved shirt and miniskirt. Now, Fang Zheng had removed the outermost layer.

Hainara Kuon’s expression changed slightly, yet she didn’t open her eyes and continued calculating with furrowed brows. She must control the time-space frozen by Fang Zheng and manipulate it—in simple terms, Fang Zheng added a lock, and Hainara Kuon needed to learn how to unlock it. Once she could unlock it, locking and unlocking it naturally wouldn’t be an issue.

While Hainara Kuon was busy unlocking, Fang Zheng appeared bored, leaning against the chair with nothing to do, while sizing up the girl in front of him.

Speaking of which, what kind of underwear does Hainara Kuon wear? Red Ponytail never considered this question because with Red Ponytail’s figure, there was no need to think about it, just a plain white tank top and white cotton panties would suffice. But Hainara Kuon was different. With her figure, she couldn’t be so careless, could she? So what kind would she wear?

Logically, since she was originally a man, she shouldn’t particularly care about underwear, would she? Would they all be standard pure white sets? But having been a woman for many years, could it be she has gotten used to a woman’s aesthetic? In that case, what kind does she really wear?

Is it the pure polka dot type?

Or the tsundere striped type?

It can’t be like Misaka Mikoto with the children’s type, right?

Of course, if it’s Kuroko’s perverted type... that should be impossible.

But who can say for sure?

At the moment, Hainara Kuon was still sitting on the chair, deep in thought, while Fang Zheng was sitting across from her, also seemingly pondering. However, no one could have guessed that one was thinking about string theory and the other about the variety of underwear...

Then... another hour passed.

Fang Zheng snapped his fingers again, and the white short-sleeved shirt Hainara Kuon was wearing suddenly vanished, revealing a tight-fitting... tank top.

Tsk.

Seeing this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but click his tongue in disappointment, he originally thought he could get the answer quickly, but it seemed he had to wait another hour.

Perhaps the removal of another piece of clothing provided sufficient stimulation to Hainara Kuon, and her progress accelerated again. Soon, Fang Zheng began to sense the previously stagnant time vibrating, the gravity of traversing dimensions beginning to wrap around Hainara Kuon, hovering at her fingertips, trembling, emitting an invisible tone...

”Ten more minutes.”

Fang Zheng glanced at his watch. Ten more minutes would make it an hour. After this, whether Fang Zheng removed the tank top or the skirt, the question he pondered should have a definitive answer.

”Five minutes.”

The string-like sound intensified, like a sharp whistle piercing through dimensions, beginning to overlap.

”Three minutes.”

Hainara Kuon’s fingers twitched slightly.

”One minute.”

”Thirty seconds.”

Hainara Kuon’s hand slowly lifted, clenching tightly.

The next moment, the invisible restraint instantly vanished.

”Congratulations.”

Fang Zheng clapped his hands, and at this point, Hainara Kuon finally exhaled a sigh of relief, glaring at Fang Zheng with discontent.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, you really are too much!”

”I’m sorry, but look, now you’ve leveled up to LV5, haven’t you? A big drum needs a heavy hammer to strike.”

Fang Zheng chuckled as he returned the two pieces of clothing to Hainara Kuon, showing no signs of embarrassment. Faced with such a shameless display, Hainara Kuon was left speechless. Since her rebirth, she rarely spoke with any men other than her brother and father. Moreover, due to Hainara Kuon’s presence, people generally tended to behave more reservedly in front of her.

But someone like Fang Zheng, who was so openly brazen and self-righteous... Hainara Kuon didn’t know how to respond.

”Regarding the thesis issue, I will discuss it with the teacher and then get back to you, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

Hainara Kuon said softly as she got dressed again, and Fang Zheng nodded nonchalantly.

”Don’t forget, the first author, huh.”

”Sigh...”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s shameless reaction, Hainara Kuon didn’t know what to say, so she could only sigh helplessly and turn to leave.

”Hehe...”

Watching Hainara Kuon leave, Fang Zheng chuckled and squinted his eyes.

In this way, the first part of his plan was perfectly executed.

Thinking of this, Fang Zheng picked up his personal terminal and connected with Kurumi.

”Get ready to leak the information.”

”Yes, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

Soon after this, the entire Academy City received a piece of news—there was a change in the superpower user rankings of Academy City. The former LV5 first place, Accelerator, had been replaced by Tokiwadai Middle School’s second-year student, Hainara Kuon, who now occupied the top position with the codename ”Space-Time Manipulation.”
