Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”Oh, you’re finally back.”

Fang Zheng pushed open the door and collapsed onto the bed. The little kitten immediately ran over, meowing and nuzzling Fang Zheng’s cheek.

”Ah, my little kitten is the best...”

”You’ve worked hard, Mr. Fang Zheng. Where did you go? Let me give you a massage?”

At this moment, Riko also walked in with a smile, talking as she started massaging Fang Zheng’s waist.

”Mmm... alright, over there. The negotiations are truly exhausting, seriously, I don’t even want to handle them myself... Thankfully, Kurumi helped, otherwise, it would drive people crazy...”

The situation at the Third Coordinate Point is even more complex than other coordinate points. Fang Zheng wants to manage this coordinate point, but it’s not possible to do it like the First and Second Coordinate Points. The First Coordinate Point has already been wiped out, so they can just build a new one. For the Second Coordinate Point, as long as Fang Zheng holds the major power, they can resolve the rest themselves. As long as no more human complementation plan nonsense appears, then there won’t be any issues.

But the Third Coordinate Point is different.

It’s not only a different world, there are even conflicts among them. For instance, Louise’s world is always eyeing Academic City, wanting to invade, while other worlds don’t communicate at all, totally unable to connect. Even if Fang Zheng resets the Third Coordinate Point, he can’t leave with peace of mind.

Therefore, Fang Zheng must ensure everything in this world can run stably. Lina Inverse’s world was indeed the first world he entered, but the world itself has a heap of problems, not to mention the Golden Nightmare King is watching over it, and Fang Zheng is unwilling to act under her watch.

Conversely, Academic City’s world at least meets Fang Zheng’s minimum requirements. As long as he resolves the religious opposition between the Science faction and the Magic Circle faction, the remaining issues won’t be problems at all. As soon as this world can transition peacefully, Fang Zheng can start the Third Coordinate Point’s reset work confidently.

Hence, Fang Zheng began sweeping reforms on Academic City.

First, the system.

Fang Zheng significantly weakened the national attribute of Academic City. He disbanded the Coordinating Council, regrouped it, and changed the original twelve director seats into eight, with shifted responsibilities.

The Chairman is currently Fang Zheng. He is the only person in the council with veto power. The Vice Chairman is Tokisaki Kurumi. She has Fang Zheng’s vote and her own two votes. Funebune Saika and Tsugumi Beshaku’s positions were retained, whereas the others were all ”dismissed” by Fang Zheng.

Of course, it’s not an easy task. As Funebune Saika mentioned, those who could become directors in the Coordinating Council relied not only on money but also on their connections and resource channels. And Academic City has developed to this stage because of these resource channels. Once these channels are disbanded, Academic City’s resources will be immediately cut off, leading to shortages in all aspects.

However, Fang Zheng already thought of ways to handle this.

Except for Tokisaki Kurumi, Funebune Saika, and Tsugumi Beshaku, the other five director seats were directly traded with the Five Nations of China, Russia, England, France, and America. Fang Zheng chose entrepreneurs from these five countries and negotiated with them. Finally, both parties reached an agreement: the capital groups from the five nations will join the Coordinating Council and replace the original Academic City resource channels. Moreover, technology will be open within Academic City, allowing representatives from the five countries to purchase, exchange, and communicate on technology aspects.

That’s right, this is also Fang Zheng’s ace card against the Magic Side. No matter how impressive your Magic Side is, it’s ultimately just a shadow in human society. You dare to cause trouble in front of the government? Even before Fang Zheng takes action, the rulers might send you back home first.

If you dare to resist, it’s rebellion!

Regarding Fang Zheng’s invitation, China, America, and Russia showed great interest, but the British Royal Court wasn’t keen, due to Fang Zheng’s twice hacking their banks, but they joined reluctantly, considering they couldn’t lose their influence.

As for France, Fang Zheng privately funded a take over of a French enterprise, then let it join as a representative.

In other words, he essentially voted for himself... Well... after all, France...

And in other aspects, Fang Zheng didn’t let go.

Firstly, the development of human capabilities. All inhumane and dangerous experiments were stopped without exception. These research institutes were entirely shut down, and the involved researchers were all laid off. Not only that, Fang Zheng also mandated to stop using the discriminatory term ”Child Error” for those children who failed in capability development. After failing, these children would be sent to excellent nurseries for care, and the funds required for operating nurseries will be directly extracted from the accounts of those laid-off researchers.

What? What about those laid-off researchers?

They’ve quit. Why would they still need money?

Fang Zheng understands that averting complete shutdown of superpower development is due to Academic City’s characteristic. But all dangerous, inhumane experiments related to capability development were surely completely erased, including all data, leaving absolutely no possibility for any organization or individual to use them.

You think ”Ratziel” as the Omniscient Angel is just useless?

Regarding security, Fang Zheng completely abolished the system where Guard Officers also serve as teachers. A bunch of auxiliary police handling weapons is simply ridiculous, isn’t it?

Though Academic City has enough cameras, Fang Zheng knows full well that having police on duty makes all the difference for security. Acts like hitting on someone in the street or surrounding and cornering in public view would never happen if police were present.

So, in Fang Zheng’s view, dispatching Guard Officers to patrol streets for crime prevention is better than addressing crime after it happens, isn’t it?

By the way, Fang Zheng didn’t cancel the Discipline Committee; instead, he elevated their authority somewhat. At least, based on the incidents Fang Zheng has experienced, he feels that both in terms of activity and enthusiasm, the Discipline Committee members are far stronger than Guard Officers.

Oh, right, also need to consider providing major medical insurance for Discipline Committee members, although not everyone is as unlucky as Kuroko Shirai...

”Ring ring...”

Just when Fang Zheng was enjoying Riko’s massage while holding the little kitten, suddenly the ringtone sounded, and Fang Zheng turned over, opening his personal terminal.

”Kurumi? What’s up?”

”Mr. Fang Zheng, the Dark Side reorganization is completed.”

”Oh? What’s the result?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but perk up.

”Three-fifths of the people have already resigned, and among the remaining, some have chosen to disband, while another part... hopes to find new work. Also, there are some who want to meet with you.”

”New work?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng furrowed his brow. He certainly understood Kurumi’s meaning; those who ”resigned” were surely the ones guilty of heinous deeds. If they were alive, it was either because their character was decent or their strength formidable...

”That’s right, and besides, the second person has requested to meet with you in person for detailed discussion, along with several others.”

”What a hassle... All right, I agree.”

Fang Zheng scratched his head, then stood up.

”In an hour, at the building.”

Soon, an hour later, Fang Zheng met with the members of the Dark Side organization in the building.

It must be said, these people all had quite distinctive personalities.

”Is it them?”

Fang Zheng walked to Kurumi’s side and gestured with his chin towards the crowd not far away, to which Kurumi nodded.

”That’s right, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

”All right, then...”

”Who the hell are you?”

However, before Fang Zheng finished speaking, a young man in a suit walked over, glaring at him coldly.

”I am the current Chairman, and you must be Imperial Supervisor.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng took a moment to size him up.

”All right, I’m right here; say whatever you have to say.”

”Where’s Arestar!”

”He’s resigned.”

”Stop kidding around!”

Hearing this, Imperial Supervisor angrily grabbed Fang Zheng by the collar.

”I still have business with him, and you say he’s resigned? Then tell me, where is he now?!”

”He’s nowhere.”

Fang Zheng continued to look at Imperial Supervisor, expressionless.

”I told you, he’s resigned. You’ll never see him again... forever.”

”........”

Hearing this, the crowd’s expressions changed suddenly. Everyone present was a member of the Dark Side, and they clearly understood the deeper meaning in Fang Zheng’s words.

Imperial Supervisor’s expression changed drastically as well.

”Stop spouting nonsense, you bastard!!”

As he spoke, Imperial Supervisor clenched his fist, swinging it towards Fang Zheng. Yet in the next moment, without Fang Zheng making any apparent move, he was suddenly hit by something and flew backward, crashing heavily into the wall.

”Not even Accelerator could match me; what makes you think you can take action in my presence?”

Fang Zheng brushed dust off his clothes, squinting as he looked at Imperial Supervisor. Hearing this, Imperial Supervisor grinned.

”I see, you’re just Arestar’s lapdog, aren’t you?”

”......Ha?”

”Arestar! Do you really look down on me? Fine, then I’ll kill your dog to show you what I’m capable of!”

With an angry roar, the next moment, six white wings suddenly extended from Imperial Supervisor’s back. Seeing this scene, the other members of the Dark Side immediately backed away. Only Fang Zheng watched Imperial Supervisor with a dark expression and cold eyes.

”Who the heck do you think is a dog, you little brat? Don’t be cocky. Arestar and Accelerator are so dead not even ashes are left, and you’re still talking nonsense?”

”Stop joking around, with you like this......!!”

Not having time to listen to Imperial Supervisor’s nonsense, Fang Zheng only watched him, then snapped his fingers.

In the next moment, Imperial Supervisor lost consciousness, collapsing to the ground.

Seeing this, the other Dark Side members also turned pale, while Fang Zheng waved his hand.

”Kurumi, pack this guy up first. I’m tired of chatting with people who are unclear in the head.”

”Okay.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, everyone saw a pitch-black circular shadow suddenly appear beneath the unconscious Imperial Supervisor, and then he slowly vanished into the shadow, as if being swallowed by a swamp. Seeing this, everyone drew in a cold breath.

They began to doubt whether coming here was a mistake.

”Alright, let’s proceed in order... Hmm, Miss Tezuka Emi? You’re with BLOCK, right? So why did you want to meet with me?”

”No, strictly speaking, I just wanted to meet with Arestar.”

Perhaps because she saw Fang Zheng easily took down the second-ranked, this woman named Tezuka Emi, who looked like a special forces soldier, had a noticeably changed attitude.

”I just want to ask Arestar about some things, about the tragedies that have happened in this Academy City... does he know about them...”

”Hmm, I can answer that for you.”

Fang Zheng nodded.

”Well then, I’ll tell you directly, Arestar created something called the Air Stagnation Circuit to monitor this city.”

”What’s that? Some kind of monitor?”

”It’s a nanoscale monitor, present everywhere within Academy City. In other words, there’s nothing in Academy City that Arestar doesn’t know, including when you bathe or change clothes, I bet he can see everything clearly... But I’ve destroyed that thing now, after all, it’s a violation of personal privacy, you’d agree, wouldn’t you?”

”Ugh...”

Hearing this, the girls in the Dark Side group all showed expressions of disgust.

”Is it really true...”

”That’s really disgusting...”

”So back to the point.”

Fang Zheng shrugged and looked back at Tezuka Emi.

”Your question, I think this is the answer.”

”I see...”

Hearing this, Tezuka Emi clenched her fists but then let go.

”But Arestar is already dead, isn’t he.”

”Strictly speaking? He’s retired.”

”I understand.”

After listening to Fang Zheng’s explanation, the woman nodded and then turned away without hesitation.

”Then, next up... this one is...”

Fang Zheng glanced at the Dark Side member who came over next. She was a petite girl with black shoulder-length hair, green eyes, and carried a cello case on her back.

”Hmm... Miss Yumiya Rakko? Do you have any questions?”

”I don’t want to leave the Dark Side.”

”...That’s quite an unexpected request.”

Fang Zheng exchanged a glance with Kurumi.

”But the Dark Side has already disbanded. To be honest, I know a lot of things can’t be solved out in the open, but it doesn’t require young girls like you to...”

”I want a job!”

For some reason, Yumiya Rakko seemed particularly determined as she stared at Fang Zheng, who was silent for a moment before shrugging.

”Alright then, you stay over there for now.”

Signaling Yumiya Rakko to wait aside, Fang Zheng looked at the others remaining.

”Hmm, it’s not the first time I’ve met two of you... isn’t it?”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng looked at Nunotaki Saiai, Rihou Takitsubo, and Musujime Awaki in sequence, all of whom had expressions of slight fear at the moment.

”Okay, then tell me your reasons.”

”Takitsubo and I have nowhere to go.”

Nunotaki Saiai glanced at Rihou Takitsubo beside her, then spoke up.

”After Makino’s disappearance, Item has completely collapsed. Takitsubo and I have no work, no income, and Takitsubo’s body...”

”Hmm... I’ve heard about that, I think.”

Fang Zheng took a look at the ”Book of Ratziel,” then nodded.

”Alright then, I’ll find someone to adjust Rihou Takitsubo’s body, and as for you... for now, stay with her over there.”

Watching Nunotaki Saiai and Rihou Takitsubo leave, Fang Zheng turned to Musujime Awaki.

”What about you, Musujime Awaki?”

”... Can I have freedom?”

”That’s your thought, you decide.”

”I have a request.”

At this point, Musujime Awaki nervously clasped her hands together.

”If you can agree to one condition, I can work for you too.”

”What condition?”

”My companions.”

”Hmm?”

”My companions... they’ve been detained in the Juvenile Reformatory. If you’re really the Chairman, I hope you can release them; they haven’t done anything wrong! They just...”

Clenching her fists, Musujime Awaki tried to say something but ultimately said nothing.

”I understand. Tell Kurumi your companions’ names, and I’ll investigate afterward. If there’s no problem, they can be let out. As it happens, the Juvenile Reformatory is also on my list of places to sort out next...”

”Thank you very much!”

Hearing this, Musujime Awaki let out a sigh of relief, then respectfully bowed to Fang Zheng before moving away on her own accord.

And then, the last person appeared in front of Fang Zheng.

She was also a fourteen-year-old girl, with blonde hair and blue eyes, dressed like a restaurant waitress, and more importantly...

”When Shihou Souki met me last time, she used her Psychic Ability on me. Do you know the outcome of that?”

Fang Zheng looked at the blonde girl before him and spoke, and the blonde girl was briefly surprised, then she smiled slightly.

”Sorry, I thought this would make it easier to talk.”

”Your ability is quite interesting.”

”Of course.”

The blonde girl blinked.

”Actually, I quite liked my current job, but suddenly I was told I was out of a job. Do you know what that’s like? It’s like an office lady working hard, suddenly getting a dismissal call one day, and then not being able to find a new job; that’s pretty tragic, isn’t it?”

”What you’re saying is indeed bad, but with your age and ability, shouldn’t you be in school?”

Fang Zheng nodded at the blonde girl before him.

”At your age, entering Tokiwadai would make you a year below Misaka Mikoto.”

”But I’ve already graduated from university in psychology.”

The girl spread her hands.

”Realizing one’s value in life is also important, isn’t it? And since you know, I don’t need to say much. With my ability, the only place to showcase my value is in work.”

”Hmm... What you say makes sense too.”

Fang Zheng thought for a moment and nodded.

”Then, in that case, let me recommend a good place for you.”
