Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”Don’t you have a competition to attend?”

Fang Zheng sat by the chair, sipping coffee while curiously watching Shihou Souki across the table, who simply shook her head.

”I’ve canceled all the afternoon competitions with my abilities...”

At this point, Shihou Souki suddenly froze, instinctively wanting to cover her mouth, but she was already too late. Fang Zheng’s hand darted across the table like lightning, grabbing onto something soft...

”Hmm, this sensation of weight pressed against my palm, the softness felt through the fabric, along with the incredible elasticity. Though I actively grasped it, there’s a mysterious force pulling and wrapping around me...”

”What are you doing!”

Shihou Souki quickly backed away, placing her hands on her chest, warily looking at Fang Zheng.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, your harassment level is frightening!”

”Wasn’t it you who sent it over voluntarily?”

Fang Zheng clenched his right hand, sat back in his chair, and took another sip of coffee.

”Besides, I’m the Chairman of Academy City; you blatantly talk about such things in front of me, and hope to avoid punishment?”

”Why would someone like you become the Chairman of Academy City...”

”Because I’m handsome.”

”...Mr. Fang Zheng, your shamelessness has reached the skies.”

”Thanks for the compliment.”

Looking at Fang Zheng’s smile, Shihou Souki was really speechless. In some ways, Fang Zheng restrained himself far more than Misaka Mikoto. The latter still maintains some dignity, but Fang Zheng on the other hand, doesn’t care about any image or style. Directly making a move in public like just now wasn’t something Shihou Souki ever imagined someone would dare to do to her.

Had it been anyone else, Shihou Souki would’ve made them regret ever coming into this world. Unfortunately, her abilities had no effect on Fang Zheng whatsoever...

Fang Zheng simply glanced at Shihou Souki and then put down his coffee cup.

”Alright, let’s go.”

”Go where?”

”Didn’t you already cancel all the afternoon competitions? Then accompany me for a stroll.”

”Ugh...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s request, Shihou Souki’s face slightly changed. If she could, she wouldn’t want to stay around Fang Zheng at all, but helplessly, Shihou Souki had no way of resisting. With a bitter face, she got up and followed behind Fang Zheng out of the café.

The competition continued as vigorously as ever without any unexpected incidents. Academy City’s security was decent, and all those shady organizations like the Dark Side were either dissolved or destroyed by Fang Zheng. Fang Zheng also wasn’t worried about the Magic Side causing trouble here, because after becoming the Chairman of Academy City, he took advantage of his authority to thoroughly upgrade the city’s external defenses.

As a mage specializing in protection, Fang Zheng applied the strongest barrier to Academy City—Mystlock.

Within this city, the Mystlock attributes Fang Zheng set prohibit all Divine Arts usage. In fact, it seals all magical abilities of mages in this world. No matter which religion the mage belongs to, as long as they enter the Mystlock range, their so-called magic becomes nullified, and even Saints are no exception... if Stiyl dares to come seek trouble again, he’ll be unable to summon flames and will end up being pounded to scraps by Ruiko!

This Mystlock doesn’t affect Index, since she can’t use magic anyway. As for those hundred thousand magic books, Fang Zheng has no interest. Ultimately, he knows these so-called magic books must have been copied from divine knowledge, like Arestar getting internal code from Aiwass, and it’s incomplete, mixed with personal interpretations that might even reverse the function and destructor.

If these weren’t recorded in Index’s mind, Fang Zheng would’ve burned them.

Hence, Academy City is now extremely peaceful, even more so than before. Previously, Academy City was an independent entity, and all sides wanted to steal some secrets from it. These efforts were seen as a gain if successful, and insignificant if not.

Now the situation is different. With the direct participation of Five Nations of China, Russia, America, England, and France, Academy City’s security is greatly enhanced. The research achievements of Academy City are open to the Five Nations; therefore, these nations certainly don’t want organizations from places like South America, Middle East, West Asia, or Nordic to mess around in their interest pool.

If someone does manage to steal something from Academy City, before Fang Zheng acts, the Five Nations would directly crush them beyond recognition.

That’s another reason why no magical organizations dare to disturb Academy City anymore. They can come and cause trouble if they wish, but afterwards? Fang Zheng only needs to report the incident to the council, and the rest will be solved. China and Russia might be peaceful in response, but America and England aren’t to be trifled with.

If Fang Zheng says, due to some magic society’s attack, our cooperation with your nation on a certain plan encountered issues and progress is delayed, possibly canceled...

Then America wouldn’t be furious? Supporting an opposition group would be considered moderate; finding a pretext to impose a blockade might be possible. No matter how strong your magic societies are, they’ll be left helpless.

Anyone who can attain a leadership position isn’t a fool. In the past, Academy City was heavily guarded, and everyone felt stealing was the only option. Now with Academy City open for collaboration, necessary things can be directly negotiated at an official level, so there’s no need for such trouble.

Thus, Fang Zheng can relax and enjoy this rare sports festival. Everything has gone smoothly without any issues so far, which leaves Fang Zheng completely at ease.

However, for Shihou Souki, it’s quite frustrating.

”Oh, Mr. Fang Zheng, Queen, greetings.”

”Greetings.”

Looking at the classmate before her, Shihou Souki couldn’t even muster a smile, while the other curiously watched the two, eyes twinkling.

”Really unexpected, you two actually went out together... ah, I won’t disturb you then, my apologies...”

After saying that, the girl quickly turned away, occasionally glancing back at the two, which left Shihou Souki utterly speechless.

It’s not that she didn’t care, it’s just that along the way, she couldn’t count how many groups of Tokiwadai students Fang Zheng and Shihou Souki had already bumped into.

And every time someone saw her with Fang Zheng, they would show a look of sudden realization, then turn away without making themselves look like a third wheel. No wonder they thought so, considering that initially, Shihou Souki had deliberately let slip in front of her faction’s girls that she was very interested in Fang Zheng, and this rumor had spread throughout the entire Academy Garden.

Now when the girls saw her with Fang Zheng, of course they wouldn’t be surprised, however... this made Shihou Souki quite troubled.

If it were someone else, Shihou Souki would have manipulated their memories long ago, making them completely forget about it. But with Fang Zheng around, she didn’t dare to. You have to know Fang Zheng had said he would deal with her if he saw her using her powers willy-nilly, and he meant it.

The first time he took her first kiss, the second time he spanked her, and the third time he groped her. If there was a fourth time... even Shihou Souki didn’t dare to imagine what would happen.

So she could only grin and bear it, smiling and greeting others, while deep down, Shihou Souki knew that after they left, they would surely spread this news across the entire Tokiwadai and even Academy Garden again.

As for whether the content was about her and Fang Zheng on a date... well, it’s better not to think about that and be happier.

However, right now, there was something even more important for Shihou Souki than this, which was...

”Fang, Mr. Fang Zheng, can we find a place to rest a bit? I really can’t walk anymore...”

”... You can’t be serious?”

Fang Zheng turned his head in surprise, looking at Shihou Souki next to him.

”Have we even walked two kilometers? And it’s just a stroll, not a run. Your physical strength is really weak.”

”When it comes to physical strength, just leave it to Classmate Misaka, those muscle-brained girls. As a lady, I don’t need such brute force.”

Even though she was dead tired, Shihou Souki still insisted on this point, but in Fang Zheng’s view...

”You don’t possibly have no athletic cells, do you?”

”........”

Upon hearing this, Shihou Souki shuddered slightly and turned her head.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, the cakes over there are delicious, right? Since we’re out together, shouldn’t you buy one for me?”

”Haha, of course, no problem.”

Fang Zheng chuckled and then walked over to the nearby stall, casually buying a small piece of cake and handing it to Shihou Souki.

”Here, enjoy.”

”Thank you very much.”

Shihou Souki didn’t expect Fang Zheng to be so agreeable, quickly picking up the cake and taking a small bite. As the sugar melted in her mouth, a sense of happiness welled up inside Shihou Souki’s body, easing much of her prior fatigue.

”Mmm... so tasty...”

”Here, don’t be shy, try this cookie.”

”Thank you.”

”No need to be polite, the candied apple is nice too.”

”Ah... I’m really troubling you.”

”Come, have a drink, you’ll get thirsty after eating so much.”

As they walked and talked, Fang Zheng kept buying snacks and drinks for Shihou Souki, and Shihou Souki didn’t hesitate at all, accepting and eating them. And so, they continued until sunset and nightfall.

”Boom!!!”

Blazing fireworks exploded in the sky. Standing next to Fang Zheng, Shihou Souki silently watched the fireworks in the sky. It was only then that she suddenly realized that the gloomy feeling that had been accompanying her all day had disappeared without her noticing.

”...Mr. Fang Zheng, thank you.”

Looking at the fireworks, Shihou Souki softly said, but Fang Zheng just shrugged his shoulders.

”Thank me for what? I just casually found someone to hang out with, and I was actually quite looking forward to it.”

”Looking forward to it? Looking forward to what?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Shihou Souki looked at Fang Zheng in confusion. Although she couldn’t read Fang Zheng’s mind, Shihou Souki could still hear something unusual in his tone. Fang Zheng then squinted his eyes with a mischievous smile, carefully examining Shihou Souki from top to bottom.

”Your weight tomorrow.”

”...........”

Upon hearing this, Shihou Souki’s expression changed slightly. She lowered her head, looking at the pancake in her left hand and the ice cream in her right. Recalling that she had eaten cake, grilled sausage, cookies, drank a beverage, and ate a candied apple before...

At that moment, Shihou Souki’s face turned pale as iron.
