Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

After this, the group continued on their way.

When night fell, Fang Zheng opened the Teleportation Gate again and sent Kuroko Shirai and Misaka Mikoto back to Academy City. Although they wished to stay and continue the adventure, Tokiwadai still had a curfew, and they had to leave and return the next day... There was no helping it; after all, time in these worlds was synchronized. If they didn’t return, they’d be in serious trouble with the dorm supervisor!

Saten Reiko, however, didn’t go back. There were only a few people around, and among them, Lei was closest to her, so after much consideration, Reiko decided to stay.

As for Feli... she had nowhere else to go besides here.

But it must be said, the scenery here wasn’t exactly appealing.

When Kuroko Shirai and Misaka Mikoto returned to the Void Glorious Ship the next day, they still saw only ruins, wreckage, parched lands, and countless Contaminated Beasts.

”I’ve never seen such a desolate place...”

Misaka Mikoto frowned as she looked outside. Honestly, several hours had passed, yet she hadn’t seen a single hint of green. All she could see were sandy deserts and the remnants of a pitch-black cityscape.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, is there really any hope for this world?”

Previously, Misaka Mikoto hadn’t fully comprehended the state of this world, but now the scene vividly highlighted its plight.

”For now, this is the reality,”

Fang Zheng shrugged.

”The exhaustion of the land is a systemic energy issue. Even if the Contaminated Beasts are dealt with, problems like water and food supply will become more pressing without their threat.”

”Can the Contaminated Beasts be eliminated?”

”Of course, and it’s quite simple. Just decode their genes, create a bio-weapon specifically targeting the Contaminated Beasts, and spread it globally via air.”

This was also the suggestion of the Little Angel—Nymph seemed particularly fond of this large-scale genetic targeting mode...

”Uh...”

However, hearing this, Kuroko Shirai, Misaka Mikoto, and Saten Reiko all showed subtle changes in expression. Just hearing the words ”bio-weapon” gave them goosebumps.

”Isn’t this... dangerous?”

”That’s unknown, but initial lethality is certain, much like a pesticide. But as you know, excessive use can lead to resistance, potentially resulting in more trouble by creating a survival of the fittest among Contaminated Beasts.”

This was one reason why Fang Zheng rejected the Little Angel’s proposal.

At this moment, Feli, who had been listening, spoke up.

”As long as the Contaminated Beasts are eradicated, any sacrifice is worth it.”

”With your technology, I’m not worried.”

This was Fang Zheng’s second reason for refusing the Little Angel. If such a thing were developed with the native biotechnology of this world, Fang Zheng wouldn’t be concerned. But the Little Angel used Synapsus’s black technology, and frankly, after traveling across many worlds, Fang Zheng still found Synapsus’s black technology to be the most terrifying. Even though the Little Angel utilized only a small portion, Fang Zheng could already tell that Synapsus’s level of civilization far surpassed that of entities like the Pioneers. Even in the Main World, only the Order Clan, under the Goddess of Order, could match Synapsus in technological and civilizational level.

If there’s any major difference, it’s that the Order Clan’s creations bear Divinity. But excluding the divinity bonus, regarding pure theory and civilizational level, there’s not much difference between Synapsus and the Order Clan.

Therefore, if a creation came from this world’s level of civilization, perhaps he could control it.

But what would be the result of interference with Synapsus black technology... that’s completely beyond Fang Zheng’s expectations.

Truth be told, Fang Zheng always knew that the Little Angel was somewhat anti-human... or rather, she inherently lacked differentiation between good and evil. In that regard, Nymph resembled a mad scientist, unconcerned with morality or ethics, only caring about the objective and its achievement.

If the Little Angel went to Academy City, entities like Mokuhara Genki, the Dark Side, and the Artisan Workshop would be utterly overshadowed.

It couldn’t be helped, after all, she’s an Artificial Angel.

This is quite normal. A regular person encounters a cute little rabbit, and they can’t resist hugging it. But for biology students, the little rabbits that die at their hands have likely piled up into heaps of bones.

Even if these biology girls are terrified while visiting Ghost Houses or watching horror movies, they demonstrate expert skills when it comes to euthanizing lab mice. They proficiently perform cervical dislocation, and with a press and a pull of the neck, accompanied by a ”crack,” even the liveliest lab mouse is dead in an instant.

More professional than a slasher in a horror movie.

So, even if everyone in the Heavenly Dao Palace finds the Little Angel harmless and gentle, only Fang Zheng knows that Nymph seems harmless only because her direct combat power is very weak... On a psychological level, even Kurumi might not compare to the Little Angel’s steely heart.

”Mr. Fang Zheng!”

At this moment, Reiko, leaning by the window, suddenly shouted.

”Look over there, there’s black smoke!”

”Black smoke?”

Upon Reiko’s words, Fang Zheng and the others turned their heads and spotted black smoke rising from what seemed to be an abandoned factory not far away.

”What’s happening? What’s going on?”

”We’ll find out soon.”

Saying this, Fang Zheng immediately deployed the detectors mounted on the sides of the Void Glorious Ship to investigate, and soon, an image appeared before the group.

In the screen, within those abandoned factories, everywhere you could see people struggling to escape, their clothes tattered, and behind them, there was a group of bizarre-looking creatures.

They somewhat resembled large velociraptors, but their heads felt even more peculiar, seemingly carrying something akin to a shell. Soon, in the footage, everyone saw a creature leap up and pin a man running for his life firmly beneath it, then it bit down, crushing his head.

Seeing this, the girls were stunned.

”What is that? Is that a Contaminated Beast?”

”No, I’ve never seen this type of Contaminated Beast...”

Kuroko Shirai and Feli stood dumbfounded, as it was the first time they witnessed such a brutal scene. Even Feli had never truly encountered a situation where Contaminated Beasts attacked a city, rendering this sight utterly astonishing.

However, Saten Reiko clearly didn’t dwell much on it.

”Don’t talk about that now, go save people quickly!!”

”Right!”

After hearing Saten Reiko’s words, Misaka Mikoto hurriedly responded as well, turned to Fang Zheng.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, quickly put us down!”

”No problem.”

Fang Zheng nodded, and soon the Void Glorious Ship accelerated forward and then descended rapidly. Meanwhile, the teleportal behind them suddenly lit up.

”Go in, prepare to set off.”

”Yes!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, the girls hurriedly stepped into the teleportation passage, while Saten Reiko was planning to step forward when Lei grabbed her hand.

”I want to go too.”

”Mm, let’s go together!”

At this point, Saten Reiko didn’t hesitate, eagerly nodded, and then Fang Zheng snapped his fingers, subsequently, everyone vanished within the Jump Crystal.

In the next moment, Radiance flashed.

When everyone appeared on the ground again, the first thing they heard was the sound of screams. When they looked around, they saw already quite a number of people killed by those creatures, while others were merely scrambling to escape.

”Kuroko, go help those people, Classmate Saten, let’s go!”

”I’m in charge of covering.”

Feli silently said a word, then took out what looked like a Magic Wand from beside her and flicked it gently. Following that, they saw countless pink-colored objects similar to petals drift with the wind, rapidly dispersed.

This scene was seen by Kuroko Shirai and Misaka Mikoto yesterday. According to Feli’s words, this was the ability she owned, named ”Nen Aura.” With this ability, Feli could survey the whole scene and let others see what she saw, as if unveiling a full map for them. Moreover, Feli could use those petals for mutual contact. Yesterday Kuroko swiftly found Saten Reiko and the others by relying on Feli’s ability.

This kind of ability wasn’t rare for Kuroko Shirai and Misaka Mikoto, as Tokiwadai had Ability Users of Psychokinesis and Psychic Sensing, thus it wasn’t surprising, but regardless, it was still quite useful.

”Get away from me!”

Misaka Mikoto dashed straight forward, seeing a creature about to descend upon the person in front of her, she shouted angrily. Then with a swipe of her right hand, a current burst forth, slamming heavily onto the creature’s body.

However, what Misaka Mikoto didn’t expect was that her electric discharge didn’t turn the creature into charcoal but merely made it jump, shake its head a bit, and only that.

”No way!”

Seeing this, Misaka Mikoto also widened her eyes in surprise. Although the previous strike wasn’t her full force, it should’ve been enough to deal with a normal person. But against this creature, it merely jumped, and from the appearance, it was completely unharmed?

”—————!!”

Yet the strike had enraged the creature, it roared angrily, then leaped towards Misaka Mikoto.

”Classmate Misaka, watch out!”

Meanwhile, Saten Reiko’s figure suddenly appeared, flying over from above. She lifted her right hand high, wielding the Azure Blade of Wind, and forcefully slashed at the creature upfront. With the roaring gale, the creature in front was instantly bisected by Saten Reiko.

”Classmate Saten...”

Seeing this, Misaka Mikoto was quite surprised. Although she had witnessed Saten Reiko’s combat prowess before, she hadn’t anticipated her to be this formidable... However, I mustn’t lose!

Thinking of this, Misaka Mikoto’s expression was solemn as she agglomerated electricity once more, aiming at another creature, she fired.

While the battle heated up here, over there, Kuroko Shirai didn’t slack off her steps either. You could see her figure flash from time to time, intercepting before the creatures, moving others to safety. There had been several occasions where people who got pinned by the creatures had shut their eyes in resignation, only for Kuroko Shirai to suddenly appear, extending a hand to transfer them away, then disappearing herself, leaving behind the creature biting empty air, bewildered, standing on the ground completely unaware of what had happened.

”Well, not bad at all.”

Watching the battlefield below, Fang Zheng nodded, then squinted his eyes, gazing at the battling Saten Reiko.

The little girl has nearly fully grasped the things I gave her, well, since she signed a contract with Lei, should I teach her something new?

So next is it the Exile’s Blade or the King of the Savages?
