Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Early the next morning, Fang Zheng left the hotel, but this time he was followed not only by Kuroko Shirai and Misaka Mikoto but also by one more person.

That was Saten Reiko.

This was naturally because Misaka Mikoto went back and enthusiastically shared her experiences with the others, causing Saten Reiko to become restless. She loved excitement, and the idea of visiting another world was irresistible!

So she found Fang Zheng and pleaded with adorable persistence, eventually convincing him to take her along.

Mainly because the little girl was exceptionally good at being cute.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, what are we doing today?”

Trailing behind Fang Zheng, Saten Reiko asked excitedly while bouncing up and down, and Fang Zheng pondered for a moment.

”First, we’re heading out of the city.”

”Huh? We’re leaving here?”

”That’s right. Actually, I came to this world for more than just sightseeing; I have important matters here, searching for some things. I discovered something yesterday, and today I plan to give it a try and see how much I can collect.”

”If that’s the case, let’s hurry!”

Hearing this, Misaka Mikoto couldn’t resist stepping forward first, eager to see the outer world. Especially since Fang Zheng had mentioned there were creatures here, Misaka Mikoto wanted to find out whether her powers or those creatures were stronger.

After all, since becoming Rank 5, Misaka Mikoto hadn’t had a proper fight. Apart from Fang Zheng and the hedgehog-headed guy, she practically had no opponents. But she couldn’t defeat Fang Zheng, and the hedgehog-headed guy always ran faster than a rabbit upon seeing Misaka Mikoto. As for others... let’s just say the time she and Shihou Souki went to the Artisan Workshop and got defeated was the most frustrating for Misaka Mikoto.

Actually, Misaka Mikoto underestimated the opponent back then, otherwise, she wouldn’t have fallen for their tricks. But she understood there was indeed a gap, so she thought about making up for it. Unfortunately, things like practical experience aren’t just gained by wanting it. Fighting street hooligans doesn’t improve combat skills, and finding a target to level up isn’t that easy.

But this world is different, these creatures attack humans, which are certainly not good things. Therefore, Misaka Mikoto has no psychological barriers about taking action. And now she’s ready with clenched fists, itching to show her skills.

However, at this moment, a voice suddenly rang out.

”You’re heading out of the city?”

Hearing the voice, Fang Zheng turned around to see Feli standing not far away, quietly observing them. Seeing this girl, everyone was momentarily surprised, then Saten Reiko sidled up to Fang Zheng and whispered.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, who is she?”

”A student of Academy City, yesterday I asked her to tell me about the situation in Academy City.”

Whispering a brief introduction to Saten Reiko, Fang Zheng looked at Feli again.

”That’s right, we plan to leave the city, Miss Feli.”

”But right now you can’t leave.”

Feli curiously examined the three girls beside Fang Zheng. She remembered bringing Fang Zheng to this hotel alone yesterday and he hadn’t mentioned having companions. Yet, after just one night, three people appeared, and their outfits were unlike those encountered by Feli...

”Why?”

Hearing Feli’s response, Misaka Mikoto immediately asked in dissatisfaction.

”Because the Mobile City is currently moving forward and won’t stop until reaching the next station.”

At this, Feli blinked and stared at Misaka Mikoto.

”This is common knowledge for those living in Mobile City.”

”Uh...”

Misaka Mikoto’s expression changed slightly, clearly not expecting her words to reveal ignorance, but Fang Zheng seem unbothered.

”No worries, we have our own way. Anyways, we’re planning to leave now, thank you for having us.”

After saying this, Fang Zheng turned and walked out along the street, followed by others, and bringing up the rear...

”Mr. Fang Zheng, that girl is still following us.”

Saten Reiko sneaked a peek behind, then sidled up to Fang Zheng.

”What should we do now?”

Saten Reiko was particularly observant, realizing that their presence might be troublesome since the Mobile City was akin to a large bus with an obvious passenger count, but halfway through suddenly there were more people...

This girl might suspect us, could she notify the police to arrest us?

As for how to leave, she wasn’t worried, with Kuroko Shirai nearby.

”We don’t do anything, just wait.”

Talking and walking, they soon reached the outer barrier of the Mobile City, and at this point, Fang Zheng finally turned around, looking at the girl behind.

”Miss Feli, is there something else?”

However, faced with Fang Zheng’s inquiry, Feli remained composed.

”I want to leave with you.”

”Leave together?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but be stunned, then frowned.

”Do you know where we’re going?”

”No.”

”And you still want to come?”

Yet Feli didn’t answer Fang Zheng’s question but kept staring at him.

”So, are you agreeing?”

”...Alright, let’s say I agreed.”

Fang Zheng considered for a moment but didn’t say more. However, from hearing their conversation, the other three were surprised and wide-eyed.

”Wait a moment, Mr. Fang Zheng, is this truly okay? We’re taking someone without a word, what if her parents come...”

”My parents aren’t in this city.”

But before Saten Reiko finished, Feli interrupted her.

”Uh... this...”

Ruiko looked at Feli, not knowing what to say, so she decisively kept silent.

”Alright, let’s go.”

Fang Zheng didn’t mind, just chuckling lightly and then looking at Kuroko.

”Please take care of it. Can you send them to the platform outside?”

”Sure, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

Upon hearing this, Kuroko nodded her head, then she reached out, first grabbing Saten Ruiko, and the next moment, Ruiko vanished, reappearing on the platform outside the barrier. Seeing this, Feli widened her eyes in surprise. Although she had already guessed that these people surely possessed extraordinary skills, this ability... had already surpassed the limits of what Feli could comprehend!

Before Feli could think more, she saw Kuroko Shirai reach out and press her shoulder. The next moment, Feli’s vision darkened, and when she regained consciousness, she was already standing on the platform outside the barrier, next to Saten Ruiko. Shortly afterward, Kuroko Shirai appeared with Mikoto Misaka in front of the two.

”Whoa, so high...”

Saten Ruiko glanced over the edge of the platform, taking a breath when she saw the ground below.

”What do we do next, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

”Just wait, I’ve already prepared.”

At this moment, Fang Zheng had quietly arrived beside the girls. He then reached out, picked up a small keychain remote, and pressed it. The remote emitted two ”BIUBIU” sounds, and shortly after, a dark shadow descended from the sky, hovering steadily over the group’s heads.

”What’s that...?”

Mikoto Misaka looked up to see a uniquely shaped golden aircraft hovering above them. It appeared spindle-shaped, with a rotating crystal upfront, looking quite dazzling.

”Void Glorious Ship. I searched for a while, and this was the only thing I could sit in.”

With this said, Fang Zheng sighed helplessly. Last night, hoping to find a good vehicle, he activated the ten-draw mode. After two ten-draws, he only got the Twilight Avenger’s reins... apart from Energy Stones and Reinforcement Stones, the rest were weapons Fang Zheng couldn’t use at all.

The most frustrating to Fang Zheng was that the guaranteed draw gave him Kratos’ Blade of Chaos...

Dammit, holding these two blades made Fang Zheng’s neck feel cold.

Damn it, I’m not bald, but I don’t want to die either!

Speaking of which, when I drew weapons earlier, I got the Dragon Slayer Blade, then Frostmourne, now Blade of Chaos... this damn system must have some issue with you, dad?

MMP, clearly needs some discipline.

In the end, I had no choice but to dig through my inventory to find a Void Radiant Ship for transport. The Star Spirits do have their transport aircraft, but its essence isn’t transport but the Energy Field. It’s essentially a midpoint for the Folding Leap.

But at least the Void Radiant Ship can sit a few people.

However...

”Mr. Fang Zheng, you’re still using a car key to open the door?”

Looking at the BMW car key in Fang Zheng’s hand, Mikoto Misaka wore a puzzled expression, while Fang Zheng chuckled.

”How’s that? You don’t understand, do you? Impressing girls by showing off a car key is very important.”

”...No, I think this thing is worth more than a BMW...”

Mikoto Misaka found herself unable to retort to Fang Zheng’s remarks.

”Alright, enough nonsense, let’s get on board first.”

Fang Zheng clapped his hands, and soon after, a light beam descended from above, engulfing the group. They vanished in an instant, and the golden Warship began to fly gently upwards.

A flash of Radiance, when the group reached inside the Void Radiant Ship, they gradually recovered their senses, except for Feli, who stood in place, looking dazed.

In fact, when Fang Zheng brought out the Void Radiant Ship, Feli was already completely stunned. As for Mikoto Misaka and the others, although Arestar messed up Academy City, the development and experiments in various scientific fields had never ceased. Just like during Endymion, the sky plane was used for transportation. Thus, while surprised by the Void Radiant Ship, Mikoto Misaka and the others did not find it strange.

But for Feli, it was different.

Because the Contaminated Beasts in this world are capable of flight, humans have long lost any flying vehicles. Otherwise, people wouldn’t be riding such dangerous things as the Wander Bus on the ground. For Feli, she’d never even heard of anything that could fly in the sky!

”Are you okay?”

Seeing Feli frozen in place, Ruiko Saten curiously waved her hand in front of her. Only then did Feli regain her senses, calmly looking at Ruiko.

”I’m alright.”

”That’s good, come on, Mr. Fang Zheng said he’d show us the view up front.”

Ruiko Saten, known for her LV5 level social skills, said a few more words and cheerfully ran ahead with Feli. Soon, the group arrived at the front command cabin.

The good thing about the Star Spirits’ Warship is its magnificent view. Standing in the hall, one can clearly see the landscapes, weather, and rain in all directions. However...

”This world... is really desolate...”

Looking at the scenery below, Mikoto Misaka struggled for a while and managed to voice this.

”Hehehe, indeed.”

Fang Zheng nodded at this point, as Mikoto Misaka said, usually in the air, all sorts of scenery can be visible. But this world is entirely different; the sky isn’t Azure but a dusty gray, and the ground is all wasteland and desert, giving the impression that the world is dead.

This naturally made Mikoto Misaka a bit uncomfortable.

”So now you know, this world isn’t like the place you’re from... It’s just ahead.”

As Fang Zheng spoke, the clouds dispersed ahead, revealing a towering city.

On the surface, it seemed indistinguishable from Academy City Jernie, but everyone could see the differences. The Mobile City had stopped moving, and not only that, its protective barriers had shattered completely. The entire city had become a wasteland.

”Is this our destination?”

”It’s one of the destinations. I’m here to conduct an experiment.”

Facing Mikoto Misaka’s question, Fang Zheng chuckled. He didn’t completely rely on Kalian’s instructions; in fact, Fang Zheng had already sent Little Ding Dong to explore the surroundings. Although such exploration was time-consuming, at least there was progress so far.

At this time, Feli followed Ruiko and walked over. Seeing the city below, her originally expressionless face revealed a flicker of Shadow.

”You’re going to the Wasteland City?!”
