Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Fang Zheng didn’t really care about what Fenrir thought. For him, it was merely a school trip.

And since it was a school trip...

”Alright, today we are going to have a lesson on lightspeed QA.”

Fang Zheng clapped his Greatsword and looked towards the distant Wild God. Upon hearing his words, Ruiko and Lei exchanged puzzled glances.

”Lightspeed... QA, what is that, Mr. Fang Zheng?”

”It’s a new move I developed based on your Fusion Technique.”

Facing Ruiko’s curious inquiry, Fang Zheng chuckled. Meanwhile, Amamiya Ryōtan and others were also curiously looking over. This was a teaching moment for Fang Zheng, but for Amamiya Ryōtan and the God Eaters, it was just a regular hunting task.

However, upon learning that Amamiya Ryōtan and his team had a mission, Fang Zheng approached him with the hope of joining them, partly to observe the God Eaters’ combat, and partly for practical training for the young girls. Amamiya Ryōtan was quite interested in Fang Zheng and his team’s strength, so he agreed to their request, thus they came to the mission site together.

”I’ve already modified your wristbands. You should notice that you have two additional skills now.”

”Yes, it’s Dance of Broken Wings and Exile’s Edge, right?”

”Correct.”

Fang Zheng snapped his fingers.

”Dance of Broken Wings is Q, and a normal slash is A. Because it’s fast, we call it lightspeed QA, understood?”

”...Uh, honestly I still don’t get it.”

”That’s okay, you’ll understand as you fight. Just remember what I said: A first, then Q, then dodge the attack, and repeat the process. Come on, try it.”

While talking, Fang Zheng whistled at the distant Wild God.

”Hey, Sun Thief!”

”-----!!”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s call, the Ghost Face Wild God, initially wandering in the distance and resembling a giant raptor, immediately turned its head, howling as it charged over. Meanwhile, Lei quickly transformed into the Blade of Wind, merging again with Ruiko. Seeing this, Amamiya Ryōtan couldn’t help but marvel, and a woman with shoulder-length black hair beside him also widened her eyes in surprise.

”That girl really turned into a weapon!”

”Which proves there are many strange things in this world... I feel like I won’t be able to see them all in my lifetime.”

Upon hearing his companion’s words, Amamiya Ryōtan chuckled as well, and at that moment, the Ghost Face Wild God also reached Ruiko. Facing the creature, Ruiko focused her spirit, staring intently.

”A first, then Q, A first, then Q...”

While chanting, Ruiko suddenly swung her sword, slashing the Ghost Face Wild God. Then, with a quick twist of her sword edge, it suddenly burst forth, shooting two streaks of sword Light, striking heavily on the Ghost Face Wild God’s head. Accompanied by a light crack sound, the Ghost Face Wild God’s bone armor, resembling a mask, shattered instantly, followed by a howl as it stood dazed without any movement.

Meanwhile, Ruiko leaped high, then... chopped towards the ground behind the Ghost Face Wild God.

”Missed! Again! Timing was off!”

”I’m sorry!”

Upon Fang Zheng’s words, Ruiko hastily flipped to her feet, then continued attacking the Ghost Face Wild God. At this point, the Wild God regained its strength, roaring as it swung its tail towards Ruiko, who quickly lowered her body, dodged the attack, and swung another sword slash.

”A first, then Q... A first, then Q...”

”Wrong, missed the position.”

”The skill didn’t follow through!”

”Land with Q, turn with A, then pursue!”

Under Fang Zheng’s guidance, Ruiko struggled to practice with all her might. After hacking down more than a dozen Ghost Face Wild Gods, Fang Zheng finally shouted to stop.

”Well done, you’ve essentially mastered it.”

”Phew...”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Ruiko sat tiredly on the ground, while Misaka Mikoto hurriedly brought two bottles of drink, handing them to Ruiko and Lei.

”You worked hard.”

”It’s alright... Thank you, Classmate Misaka.”

Wiping the sweat off her forehead, Ruiko gave Misaka Mikoto a slight smile.

”You were really impressive just now. Honestly, I never thought Classmate Saten would be so strong.”

Previously, if Misaka Mikoto wasn’t quite aware of Saten Ruiko’s strength, seeing Saten Ruiko effortlessly and easily eliminate so many Wild Gods like slicing through vegetables, she was quite shaken. Of course, that’s not to say Misaka Mikoto couldn’t do it. Being a Level 5 Superpower User, dealing with these Ghost Face Wild Gods simply requires hitting them with a large-scale Thunderstorm, instantly turning them into charcoal.

But what if they are not afraid of lightning?

Without saying anything else, if it were Saten Reiko facing that spiky-haired guy, even without the ability, she could make him cry out loud, right?

So should I learn from her?

Thinking about this, Misaka Mikoto couldn’t help but ponder.

”Good job.”

At this moment, Amamiya Ryotan and Sakuya, who had finished their mission, also walked over. They had watched part of Reiko’s lesson before going to complete their own tasks. Unlike Fang Zheng, these God Eaters weren’t out on a leisurely camping trip, and they had defeated their target, returning to the meeting point, surprised by the pile of Wild God corpses in front of them.

”This is really impressive.”

”Not bad, but there’s room for improvement.”

Receiving the God Eaters’ admiration, Fang Zheng just chuckled. Suddenly, a deep roar rose sharply, and everyone saw a Wild God, nearly two meters tall and resembling a gorilla, suddenly poking its head through a nearby ruin gap, then leaping heavily onto the ground and charging at Reiko.

”Careful! This is no ordinary Wild God!”

Seeing this Wild God, Amamiya Ryotan’s face turned serious. He immediately recognized this Wild God as a King Kong, different from the Ghost Face Monster. King Kong has rough skin and is highly resilient, very powerful, and has even killed quite a few rookie God Eaters. Although Reiko has decent skills and some experience, she’s still a fourteen-year-old girl. Can she handle a King Kong?

”Classmate Saten!”

At this point, Misaka Mikoto and Kuroko Shirai also intended to go up and help but were pulled back by Fang Zheng.

”No one is allowed to help... Reiko, this is a test; send it flying with a combo, and I’ll consider you passed. Understand?”

”Yes!”

At the moment, Reiko had already grasped Blade of Wind firmly, staring at the King Kong before her. If the earlier Ghost Face Wild God felt like a larger-sized warhorse to Reiko, the current King Kong’s sense of oppression was unmistakably stronger. The King Kong Wild God glared fiercely at Reiko, suddenly raised its hands, clenching them into fists, and slammed them forcefully down at Reiko!

Being a wind attribute ability user, Reiko naturally wasn’t hit by such a crude attack. She quickly dodged just before the King Kong Wild God’s attack arrived, its fists narrowly missing her and hitting the ground with a loud ”bang,” even causing the ground to tremble slightly.

”Hiss———!”

Feeling the impact, Saten Reiko couldn’t help but gasp; being hit by that punch would surely turn her into a pancake!

But... that’s what makes it exciting!

Thinking this, Reiko’s figure flickered, taking advantage of the King Kong Wild God’s unstable stance, swinging a slash at its face, making it sit heavily on the ground. Then, the Blade of Wind in Reiko’s hands burst forth; two swift slices crushed the bone armor on the King Kong Wild God’s head, causing it to howl and clutch its head as it fell backward.

Now’s the time!

Seeing the King Kong Wild God unable to counterattack, Reiko’s eyes lit up, and she leaped, spinning 180 degrees to land behind it, smashing the ground with her Blade of Wind.

”Boom———!!”

Accompanied by howling winds, the huge, hulking body of the King Kong Wild God flew backward, and at the same time, Reiko raised the longsword again, leading the wind to converge, tremble, and transform into a whirlwind that bound the backward-flying King Kong Wild God tightly.

Then Reiko gripped the longsword tightly and swung it forward!

”Gale Slash!”

The roaring sword qi responded, cleaving into the King Kong Wild God’s body, instantly carving a deep, bone-visible wound into its tough, solid form. Under intense pain, it began to erupt, raising its hands and its entire body erupting with bright red radiance, trying to break free from the whirlwind’s restraint.

But unfortunately, it’s too late.

The berserk tornado rose from the ground, enveloping the King Kong Wild God entirely, and Reiko, along with her sword, transformed into a dazzling radiance, passing by it.

”Gale End Slash!”

”Boom!!”

When the whirlwind subsided, the battered King Kong Wild God fell heavily to the ground, no longer showing signs of life.

Upon seeing this, everyone except Fang Zheng was stunned.

It’s worth noting that from the King Kong Wild God’s attack to Reiko’s elimination of it, it barely took thirty seconds in total, virtually the blink of an eye. The imposing Wild God had already become a corpse, and the smooth, flowing assault left everyone astounded.

”Well done.”

Seeing this, Fang Zheng nodded in satisfaction, first an A, then a Q, followed by Whirlwind Slash, and ending with Gale Slash and Gale End Slash; a combo unimaginable in LOL, yet conjured by Reiko herself... Hmm, maybe I should think about giving her more to learn in the future?

”So cool, so cool, so cool!”

Watching this, Misaka Mikoto was excited beyond measure, hurriedly rushing to Fang Zheng’s side and clutching at him.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, I want to learn too!!”

”You want to as well?”

Hearing Misaka Mikoto’s words, Fang Zheng gave her a peculiar look.

So do you want to become... a Future Guardian? Or a Berserk Heart?
