Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1192 -701: Ore Traditions_2

Baimu wasn’t surprised by the result.

The current arena has already degraded into a club, with many people staying just to hang out with Ying Yuan. Now that Ying Yuan isn’t interested in them, why would they remain?

Naturally, it’s best to part ways amicably.

He cheerfully said to everyone, “In that case, let’s start early. This afternoon’s first class—a Pokémon trivia fun quiz competition.”

When he finished speaking, the arena trainers showed little reaction, but Otsuka and others revealed looks of horror.

Ayana and Ying Yuan immediately sensed something.

However, just from the name, they didn’t notice anything amiss, so they prepared to listen further.

“First, hand over all your Pokeballs.”

Baimu pulled out a large bag, smiling widely as he opened it.

The crowd didn’t understand but followed suit under the lead of several big brothers.

Otsuka and the others turned pale, imploring while handing in their Pokeballs, “Boss, please go easy on us!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll be absolutely fair.”

Baimu’s smile was extraordinarily bright.

After a while.

All the Pokeballs were handed over. With a casual touch inside, he pulled out two Pokeballs and said, “The rules of the competition are simple. I will randomly designate two participants and randomly select six Pokeballs.

“When I release one Pokémon from them, participants must quickly answer the Pokémon’s name, attribute, at least one trait, and any possible evolution or regression, then list four techniques it can learn.

“Those who answer all correctly will pass and earn one point; otherwise, the opponent earns one point. Clear pronunciation and loud voice are required. Whichever side has the highest score wins. Simple, right?”

The arena trainers exchanged looks, as it was their first time hearing about such a class method—shouldn’t it be sitting in a classroom?

“Since it’s a competition, there can’t be a lack of rewards and punishments. There’s temporarily no reward as I haven’t decided what to use, but the punishment—don’t be so tense.”

He looked at the arena trainers putting on a defensive appearance and laughed, “You just need to run two laps around the arena. My demands are very low, but to prevent you from slacking off, I’ll assign a Pokémon to supervise.”

That’s it?

Hearing this, the arena trainers didn’t mind, thinking that it was just running, not as severe as they feared.

What does it matter if there’s a Pokémon supervising?

Ayana and Ying Yuan were also surprised, looking at Otsuka and others, not understanding why they were fussing over such a trivial matter.

“No delays; the first round starts today. Anyone want to volunteer?”

Baimu looked encouragingly at everyone.

Ying Ma raised his hand first, confidently saying, “Count me in!”

Kendall also wanted to set an example, but Otsuka raised his hand first with a resolute expression, “I-I’ll go first!”

“Great!”

Baimu accepted gladly.

Then, everyone dispersed to give Ying Ma and Otsuka space.

Bang!

The Pokeball opened.

A large four-legged spider, the size of a foal, landed, and its trainer excitedly tried to speak, but after spitting out one word, he was silenced by Kendall’s timely glare, shutting his mouth reluctantly.

Ying Ma was familiar with it to the point of no return and slightly raised his hand.

Unexpectedly, Otsuka was faster, and after raising his hand, he immediately shouted, “Ariados, Long-legged Pokémon, Bug and Poison Attribute, traits include Insect’s Premonition and Insomnia, evolves from String Ball, and can learn Poison Needle, String Shot, Insect Bite, and Shadow Strike!”

After saying the long string, the arena trainers were all in an uproar.

“Wow, so fluent!”

“Finished so quickly? He must have prepared beforehand!”

“You’re spouting nonsense; this is my Pokémon! How could he have prepared?”

They began arguing quietly, as Otsuka spoke so quickly and fluently with no sign of stopping.

Ying Ma glanced at Otsuka, who was concentrating intensely, and felt a little competitive.

He couldn’t allow himself to be defeated by Baimu’s underling!

But Ying Ma didn’t notice the hint of guilt and determination in Otsuka’s gaze occasionally directed at him.

Bang!

White light flashed.

Another Pokémon landed.

Ying Ma quickly raised his hand and was about to speak when a decisive voice from beside him shouted, “Fearow, Bird-beaked Pokémon, General and Flying Attribute, traits include Sharp Gaze, evolved from Spearow…”

You speak so readily!

Too fast!

He looked at Otsuka, stunned to hear him speak without pausing, almost driving him crazy.

Baimu’s underlings are this knowledgeable?

He remembered this Otsuka guy being teased for poor studies and heckled into drinking at last night’s welcome party, if poor learners are like this, how stunning are the good learners?

Ying Ma’s sense of crisis skyrocketed!

“That’s For…”

“Forretress! Wormadam Pokémon! Bug and Steel Attribute!”

“Wait a minute…”

“Mr. Mime!”

“I’ll go first…”

“Poliwrath!”

“Dug…”

“Dugtrio!”

Each time he was beaten to the punch, each time he missed the chance to speak, Ying Ma was so frustrated he was grinding his teeth, having spoken less than ten words from start to finish!

Baimu retrieved Dugtrio back into its ball, cheerfully looking at Ying Ma and Otsuka, “The outcome is clear, any objections?”

“None!”

Otsuka let out a deep breath, his smile brilliantly radiant, even smiling playfully, fist-bumping when he returned to Cheng Hong and the others.

Ying Ma gritted his molars but accepted defeat, shouting, “None!”

His performance drew laughter from the arena trainers, while Ying Yuan shook his head helplessly.
