Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1179: Chapter 695: Mega Evolution (Part 3)

On the wide street.

The hoverbike gang raced past, the roar of the engines drawing attention from many passersby and some idle office workers in the buildings.

It had been a long time since Pyrite Town had seen a gang of this magnitude.

When the commercial district was first being built, some young people, dissatisfied with the Rescue Organization’s personnel arrangements, banded together, attempting to target the first wave of external aid companies.

The main mode of transportation for their actions was various Ghost Fire bikes tearing through the streets.

Of course, this farce was quickly stopped by the Rainbow Team, with the leader being captured by team members just five minutes after setting off and, after sentencing, was sent to the prison in the southeast.

The followers were mandated to perform physical labor, depending on the severity of their involvement.

That battle brought the previously obscure Rainbow Team into the public eye, growing to today’s scale.

Since then, the commercial street has rarely heard the engines of motorbikes revving, and no one dared assemble a large-scale convoy to parade through the streets.

What’s the origin of this group?

Some sharp-eyed individuals recognized Ayana’s ride among them, and were somewhat relieved.

Oh, it’s the Rainbow Team, so it’s fine.

Even though everyone was curious about why Pyrite Town’s security wasn’t managed by the Security Bureau and Miss Jun Sha, it’s best to adapt to local customs in a new place.

Besides, the Rainbow Team’s name was only odd; their main functions were similar to the Security Bureau.

However, the leader looked a bit unfamiliar?

”Ah! That’s Baimu! The one that made the blog hot search! And he’s also the president of Rainbow Group. Yesterday, several streets in the eastern city held a welcome banquet for his return!”

The well-connected explained.

There was a sound of inhalation all around, ”Several streets? No wonder the east city was so lively yesterday, only quieting down at midnight. I would’ve gone to see if it wasn’t so far!”

”I didn’t expect him to be so popular...”

”To be precise, he’s very popular in the eastern city. I heard someone say he used to have a nickname, ’Demon Wood,’ supposedly like a monster!”

”That’s pretty fitting, hahahaha...”

More and more people in the office building joined the discussion, and Baimu’s name spread widely within the commercial district.

A significant source of the discussion came from the Trainers from various companies who left the arena. Having witnessed Baimu’s strength firsthand, they held him in high esteem, believing he might not be inferior to a Regional Champion.

Some thought it was exaggerated.

Others believed that with the upcoming first League Conference in the Ore Region, Baimu, with such strength, had a strong chance of claiming the champion title.

Meanwhile.

Baimu returned to the Rainbow Building and turned to the group, ”We’ll stop here for the morning; I need to get to the mountains. The Steelix are getting impatient. You guys do whatever; we’ll meet back here or at the arena entrance at 1:30 in the afternoon.”

”But we just reported to the team that we were going to act with you—”

Cheng Hong hesitated.

Baimu frowned, ”Act with me? No need. What’s the point of following me around like Falinks all day? If you have nothing to do, go read books! The more knowledge you gain about Pokémon, the more you can help me!”

”...Yes.”

Cheng Hong and the others exchanged glances and reluctantly agreed.

They desperately hoped to work for Baimu as in the past, but now it seemed the boss no longer needed them.

Or rather, they currently lacked the ability to meet the boss’s needs.

”See you in the afternoon.”

Ayana nodded to Baimu, twisted the throttle, and headed towards the eastern city villa.

After stepping down, she had no further position within the Rainbow Team, only serving as a board member receiving dividends at year’s end. She didn’t want to complicate matters for herself any further and planned to go back and slowly browse the e-books Baimu had sent over.

The things Baimu displayed in just a few short hours that morning opened her eyes, and she was very grateful she had made her decision early.

Challenging other arenas...

Ayana felt the hot wind blowing against her, the corners of her mouth slightly curving up, as a long-lost sense of anticipation filled her heart.

This also increasingly confirmed to her that the power of the Rainbow Team wasn’t what she wanted.

——

The eastern entrance of Pyrite Town.

Baimu drove over here alone and greeted the Forest Ranger responsible for observing the state of the flowers, plants, and trees, not in a hurry to continue riding towards the mountains. He first released the Giant Steelix with a raised hand.

”Roar!”

The Steelix excitedly raised itself, and even with only two-thirds of its body upright, it was taller than the trees planted near the town entrance, giving it an incredibly expansive view.

And the reason for calling it out was—

Baimu: ”The underground tunnel you mentioned before?”

He recalled that Steelix had previously mentioned that to facilitate rapid movement between the mountains and Pyrite Town, it had gathered N’s Steelix and Onix to excavate several underground tunnels connecting the two places.

This had a certain impact on Shanren.

Because, at the time, during the Underground City’s relocation period, many who were accustomed to underground life were reluctant to return to the surface.

Coincidentally, one of the tunnels they dug was extremely close to an Underground City, causing the roof there to collapse due to the compression from rock layer vibrations, burying most of it.

Fortunately, the residents there had evacuated earlier, leaving little property behind, minimizing the losses.

The key was that the buried Underground City successfully extinguished the desire of a portion of residents to move back, significantly reducing the number of petitions.

So, Shanren simply decided to bury all the Underground Cities under the pretext.

Seeing that returning was impossible, the former Underground City residents finally ceased their protests and joined the rush of surface construction. As of now, persuading them to move back would likely be unwanted.
