Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1159: Chapter 686: Regional Differences (2)

Unable to switch!

Ying Yuan rarely encountered such a situation. Holding the Pokeball he had decided to release, he watched the Dusknoir in the Tide Spin, silent and dazed.

He couldn’t release another Pokémon to battle now, and Dusknoir couldn’t hear his voice.

What else could he do?

He could only watch.

”Keep using Shadow Ball.” Baimu calmly ordered.

Corsola swiftly gathered dark purple energy orbs, launching them like grenades towards Dusknoir in the Tide Spin.

After two explosions, it was clear that Dusknoir had been defeated.

Even though Corsola currently had limited output capacity and Dusknoir had high Special Defense, after its Meditation, Corsola’s attack prowess was quite considerable.

In the team, the one who used the Transformation Techniques best wasn’t the first to learn it, Blissey, but the usually laid-back Corsola.

Its calm heart was in subtle harmony with Meditation.

Ying Yuan retrieved the fallen Dusknoir, and Ying Ma coughed, his gaze complicated as he said:

”Dusknoir has lost the ability to battle. Corsola wins.”

Within a mere ten minutes, Corsola had already defeated two of his elder brother’s Pokémon. Even a fool could see the gap between the two.

Yet Ying Ma felt something was amiss; Ying Yuan shouldn’t be this weak!

On the other side, Baimu suddenly had an epiphany.

Regard the state of confusion.

In fact.

If the Trainer kept calling, over time Dusknoir waking up was highly probable, similar to how in games, there’s only a one-third chance of the Pokémon attacking itself.

But Ying Yuan gave up; he believed the situation was lost.

Baimu believes that if faced with a life-and-death battle or a fate-deciding fight, Ying Yuan would undoubtedly persist a bit more.

But at this moment, it was just an ordinary backyard battle.

This decided whether Ying Ma could set out on a journey, to broaden his horizons and strength.

Ying Yuan had already confirmed he possessed mighty power, so his interest in the battle was not so high.

If he lost, he lost.

With such a mindset, how could he win?

How could he defeat Baimu, who strives to win every battle to the very end?

”Alas...”

He sighed.

Ying Yuan may have once been the boss of Pyrite Arena, frequently holding tournaments and giving prizes to Trainers, but unlike Trainers from outside, he lacked a competitive spirit.

In the mainstream regions, Pokémon battles are a form of competitive sport; in the Ore Region, Pokémon battles determine one’s future.

Perhaps it is precisely because of this difference that Ying Yuan didn’t value battles not involving his own safety.

Too dull.

He beckoned to Corsola, ”Come back, you can rest now.”

”Sigh!”

Corsola’s eyes lit up, then dimmed, as if nothing had happened, slowly flying back to the villa. With Dreepy and the others outside, it could enjoy a nice nap!

Baimu paid it no mind, turning to Aggron and said, ”It’s up to you.”

Aggron was slightly taken aback, not expecting to have the chance to appear against an opponent of this level.

Its eyes met Baimu’s, understood, and it responded, stepping forward: ”Roar!”

Under the sun.

The silver armor shone brightly.

Ying Ma stared at Aggron obsessively, knowing from watching the Ever Grande Conference just how powerful this Pokémon was.

It was an overwhelming mighty power!

Ying Yuan had also heard of Aggron’s battle achievements, and his brow furrowed slightly in seriousness as he threw the third Pokeball, ”Go!”

Boom!

The Hitmonchan, like a boxer, appeared.

”Eh-bi!”

It punched the air several times, each punch producing a sharp whooshing sound, like a long whip cracking.

The punches moved so fast they left only afterimages, and Hitmonchan looked at Aggron with eyes full of high fighting spirit.

What it liked most was crushing steel with a single punch!

”Vacuum Wave!”

Ying Yuan ordered.

Hitmonchan fired multiple punches at Aggron, brown-red light shooting from its fists, transforming into intense, invisible air shocks!

The shockwaves reached Aggron in the blink of an eye, the speed so fast it was instantaneous.

Then.

Aggron casually swung its shining silver claws.

Snap!

Like swatting a fly, the incoming Vacuum Wave was casually swatted away by the silver claw, leaving small craters where it fell.

”Eh-beep?”

Hitmonchan couldn’t believe its eyes; that was its Vacuum Wave!

Ying Yuan frowned and shouted, ”If long-range is useless! Rush in and kick it down!”

[Kick Down], a Fighting Attribute technique, the heavier the opponent, the greater the power.

A typical Aggron weak to Fighting by four times, even if it didn’t lose its ability to battle on the spot, surely wouldn’t have much stamina left.

But.

Ying Yuan stared intently at Aggron, whose calm expression suddenly made him feel a bit anxious.

Ying Ma didn’t even dare to breathe, his whole body tense.

”Eh-beep!”

Receiving the command, Hitmonchan dashed forward, quickly closing the distance between the two, fearlessly meeting Aggron’s outstretched leg with a powerful low sweep!

Swoosh!

The dust rose under the glow of the Fighting Attribute—

It was a miss.

Hitmonchan couldn’t feel the hardness of an object breaking or denting under its kick; it was like just moving its leg in a breeze, sweeping at air.

”Above you! Retreat quickly!”

Ying Yuan’s sharp shout made Hitmonchan’s head follow its lower limbs in an instant, ghostly retreating with a move comparable to a boxer.

But just as it lifted its head, a brilliant silver light, as if predicting where it would retreat, smashed straight down upon it!

Like a meteor falling to earth!

Boom—!!

The massive double shockwave rippled outwards, dust flying straight to the clouds, the dull explosion echoing far across the quiet residential area!

Nearby townspeople looked towards the villa area on the high ground, quickly realizing it was where the Baimu Family resided.

An explosion?

Many turned pale, alerting others.

But as they hastily gathered a few dozen people to check it out, they were stopped by a member of the Rainbow Team.

”No need to worry, it’s just the boss battling with Boss Ying Yuan.”

The visit of Ying Yuan had been informed by Shanren, and Shanren had mentioned it to the Rainbow Team, so everyone in the Rainbow Team knew the former strongest trainer of Pyrite Town was here to challenge the current strongest trainer!

They were eagerly anticipating the outcome.

In the backyard of the villa.

Loud coughing echoed from the smoky field.

Then a strange breeze blew in, gradually dispersing the dust and clearing the surroundings.

Ying Ma took in the clean air, recovering enough to look at the battle scene, his eyes suddenly narrowing.

In the circular pit.

Aggron held Hitmonchan high with one claw, its expression still peaceful, while the latter showed a pained face, clawing at its arm in an attempt to struggle.

Aggron looked at the stunned Ying Yuan across from it and without using any Attribute Energy, simply swung Hitmonchan towards the ground!

Bang!

The ground shook, and Hitmonchan stopped moving.

It was actually that simple...

Ying Ma took deep breaths; he had never imagined his elder brother would lose to Baimu so easily. At least in the previous two rounds, Corsola had employed tactics.

The endless Transformation Techniques were surprising, but it’s normal for trainers who have traveled to other regions to excel in tactics.

But Aggron—

”I concede, your strength has exceeded my imagination.” Ying Yuan no longer silent, looked at Baimu with admiration and said, ”It seems I have indeed been a frog in a well.”

Compared to the overly reverent Ying Ma, he was more accepting of his defeat, acknowledging that he was nowhere near Baimu, which was rather ironic.

”It’s just different perspectives. Through this battle, I realized what’s lacking in the Ore Region isn’t just an alliance conference.”

Baimu shook his head, now very curious about the situations in other cities and arenas.

If everyone in the Ore Region were like Ying Yuan, unless outsiders were not allowed to participate, the first Ore Conference would be a bloodbath.

Like the Ever Grande Conference in Hoenn, with only one Hoenn person among the top four!

The strength of Ore Trainers would also be underestimated by trainers from other regions.

He sighed inwardly, his mind a mess.

Ying Yuan across from him said, ”I want to ask you for a favor.”

”Please, go ahead.”

”Take over the Pyrite Arena in the city center. I want to give it to you, not just as temporary management, but as a complete gift.”

”Huh... what?”

Baimu looked up in surprise.
