Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1170: Chapter 691: Neo Dragon’s Heart_2

Various calls echoed, either high-pitched or low.

Baimu was quite surprised: ”Pretty good!”

”Heh heh! I’ve been working hard to raise them!”

Ying Ma was quite proud of the compliment.

But in reality.

What Baimu praised was unrelated to the nurturing; it was mainly that Ying Ma, as a former Gym Leader of the Underground City arena, had Pokémon of good types and sizes regardless of their power.

Ying Ma approached the Venusaur with the red giant flower on its back, patted its head, and said: ”I highly recommend you choose Venusaur, not only because it’s very gentle and obedient, but also because it’s really powerful. You won’t be disappointed!”

”Venusaur, huh...”

Baimu nodded slightly. Venusaur, ranking among the top in the Three Families, was indeed a good choice, but unfortunately, there were Pokémon even more suitable than it.

He walked straight to the side, the only one not fixated on Ying Ma, idly observing the surroundings—the dinosaur-like Garchomp.

Ying Ma was shocked and quickly rushed forward, flustered to block, ”Wait! Wait! How about choosing another one?”

”No, this one.”

Baimu sized up the sturdy Garchomp and nodded in satisfaction, ”It’s very good.”

Ying Ma anxiously said, ”But it—”

”Hahaha! Baimu boss, don’t blame us for not warning you! Ying Ma’s Garchomp is notoriously bad-tempered, it rarely gives face even to Ying Ma!”

Someone beside Kendall shouted laughingly.

Ying Ma looked a bit disheartened but nodded, ”Yeah, yeah, sort of like what he said, Garchomp’s temper is quite bad, it takes quite an effort to get along.”

”Bad tempered?”

Baimu spoke while slowly raising both hands, Garchomp seemed to sense someone approaching, turning its gaze to look down at Baimu who came close.

Its originally laid-back demeanor quickly turned hostile, its ferocious jaws slightly opened revealing snow-white sharp teeth, lifting wide fin blades and growling low:

”Grrr—”

Ying Ma sensed things were amiss and went forward to stop, ”Garchomp was about to—”

Before he could finish speaking.

Baimu’s hands had already landed on the gray-blue fin blades, a nearly imperceptible golden light flashed across his palms, startled the ferocious Garchomp, whose fin blades drooped involuntarily.

Then.

His hands continued from the fin blades up to the shoulders, then to the neck.

Under the stunned gaze of everyone, Baimu laughed and scratched Garchomp’s chin, which gently lowered its head, enjoying a low call from the tip of its nose.

”Grrr~”

Ying Ma rubbed his eyes. Garchomp rarely gave him face, yet was so submissively petted by someone else?

For a moment, he didn’t know whether to be shocked or jealous.

Baimu smiled faintly and said, ”How could it be bad tempered? It’s much better than you think. All right, stop worrying about these minor details, give me its Pokeball.”

Ying Ma obediently handed over the Pokeball.

With just this one move, he knew he had no qualification to raise his voice in front of Baimu, being so far behind in many aspects.

Porygon II used a mobile Illustrated Guide to scan the information logged in the Pokeball.

Modern Pokeballs can often record a Pokémon’s data, then transfer it to an Illustrated Guide or computer, appearing simple yet containing unimaginable black technology.

Baimu continued to stroke Garchomp’s chin and neck gills while checking various information.

After a brief moment.

He sighed.

Ying Ma asked nervously, ”What’s wrong?”

”You really have the need to go out and travel,” Baimu said meaningfully.

This excellent Dragon-type Pokémon was spoiled like this, clearly this guy didn’t fulfill the responsibilities of a Trainer.

Ying Ma didn’t fully understand.

Ayana understood and found it natural.

The Underground City arena had been thriving largely due to Ying Yuan’s support, and most head figures in Pyrite Town felt Ying Ma was a reckless kid.

Even though later most of those who thought he was a reckless kid were caught and sent to sew machines or plant trees in the wilderness, his essence remained unchanged.

”Show me what your true power can do, mighty big guy.”

After reading the paper data, Baimu patted the strong arm of Garchomp expectantly.

”Grrr!”

Garchomp responded excitedly.

Ying Ma whispered to himself, it’s unreasonable that his Pokémon listens to others without needing orders?

And during the period of their adjustment.

Otsuka came over with Cheng Hong and the others, panting heavily.

”Big sister! How’s the situation?”

”Nothing much, Baimu is getting ready for the third session, you guys were too slow.” Ayana completely omitted what had just transpired.

She knew Baimu was currently too occupied to deal with any potential disputes that might arise between the arena trainers and Otsuka and the others.

Ying Yuan also understood well how easily friction could occur among the young people, his gaze sweeping over each arena trainer who wanted to speak.

Seeing Baimu commanding Garchomp to execute moves out of thin air, Otsuka and his group dared not disturb him, and brazenly asked Ayana and Ying Ma what Baimu had just taught.

Ying Ma replied, ”Your leader demonstrated how to use a Pokémon’s body structure, the technique of executing moves, and the importance of a Pokémon’s physical quality...”

Otsuka and the others exchanged surprised glances.

It wasn’t that Baimu taught something incredible, but everything was just so basic!

So basic that on the ship before...

Ah!

Otsuka and the others suddenly realized that the trainers in Pyrite Town hadn’t been taught by the crew of the Fury like they had.

What was considered basic at the moment was seen as precious knowledge to these people.

”I didn’t expect there would be a time when we were ahead of others.”

Otsuka basked in the little praise, feeling a bit proud as he spoke.

Ayana, knowing full well that they had been trained by powerful external trainers on the Fury, quietly hid the trace of envy in her eyes.

Cheng Hong, being more steady, politely asked Ying Ma for more specific details.

Only then did they learn that Baimu planned to battle Kendall with his own Pokémon.

Otsuka slapped his thigh in agony, ”Oh! If only we had come earlier, so Baimu could use my Pokémon!”

”Hey! Do you look down on my Garchomp?”

It was the second time Ying Ma had heard such a remark, feeling extremely displeased.

Otsuka innocently said, ”No, I just thought my Pokémon is more familiar with Baimu and would definitely execute his commands more perfectly.”

As he said, the essence of adjustment lies in enabling the Pokémon to promptly respond to the trainer’s orders.

Comparing with Pokémon that just met for the first time, previously familiar Pokémon are certainly better.

Ying Ma snorted, looking at Garchomp and Baimu with some concern.

Though it’s astonishing that the previously ill-tempered Garchomp became docile suddenly, how much could be adjusted in just fifteen minutes?

Even at this moment, Baimu didn’t seem to be using any secret techniques.

He was simply having Garchomp use various moves, sometimes doing some actions.

The distant arena trainers watched, their minds filled with mixed feelings, unsure whether to feel fortunate or disappointed.

Honestly, they both wanted to see Baimu make a fool of himself and wanted to see him bring out something that would astound them, like before.

Alas.

Everything was just too ordinary!

Baimu focused on the emotions Garchomp was conveying, feeling pleased.

Ever since he resonated once with Hydreigon, the Divine Heart seemed to possess the ability from past versions—able to feel and convey the emotions of Dragon-type Pokémon again.

Although he couldn’t communicate mentally with Dragon Attribute Pokémon like Alice or read Dragon Pokémon’s memories, being able to convey emotions alone made him immensely satisfied.

An adequate Dragon Tamer should possess some special abilities aimed at Dragon Attribute Pokémon!

Divine Heart was too peculiar.

He didn’t even know how it reached such a state.

”It’s a pity.”

Baimu felt regretful for Garchomp’s outstanding talent being overlooked, but fortunately, Dragon-type Pokémon have long lifespans, wasting a few years didn’t matter.

Of course.

Despite the Pokémon being exceptional, he had no intention of poaching it.

After all, Ying Ma had raised it from Gible to now; no matter how poorly raised, there was a deep bond between them.

Moreover, Ying Ma would eventually grow, and there’s no reason to believe that this youth yearning for the outside world would be mediocre for life.

”Let’s stop here for now.”

Baimu stepped forward, extending his hand. Garchomp bowed its head slightly so he could reach its head, smiling, ”Let your incompetent trainer see your prowess! Ha! He even had the nerve to say you had a bad temper.”

”Ka-boom~”

Garchomp nodded in great agreement, looking at him with eyes akin to seeing a kindred spirit.
