Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1177: Chapter 694: A Stack of Trainer Development

”Thanks, it’s perfectly returned. Remember to send it to the Pokémon Center.”

Baimu handed the Pokeball containing Garchomp to Ying Ma.

Compared to his own Pokémon, Garchomp clearly had rarely experienced such intense moves clashing. After the battle, it never fully recovered and had to rest inside the Pokeball.

Its stamina truly needs improvement.

A Dragon-type Pokémon lying down after one fight is a disgrace to dragons.

Ying Ma took the Pokeball and after a brief hesitation asked, ”Boss Baimu, how do you, how do you do it?”

”Which aspect are you referring to?”

”... Every aspect.”

”If you’re asking why Garchomp listens to me, there are two reasons—sufficient goodwill and ’lineage.’ The Meteor People have an inherent affinity with Dragon-type Pokémon, and when I show goodwill, Garchomp can sense it.”

Baimu raised one finger, then raised a second: ”If you’re asking why my commanded Garchomp can win where you can’t, there are also two reasons—battle experience and the trust relationship I’ve spoken about from beginning to end. Both are equally important, no hierarchy between them.”

Trust relationship...

Ying Ma pondered this phrase, still feeling somewhat confused inside.

What kind of relationship qualifies as a trust relationship?

Like Kendall, who dares to call out Mamoswine to charge during a battle?

Baimu saw the puzzled look on his face and helplessly asked, ”What do you think is the most basic thing for a Trainer?”

After some consideration, Ying Ma tentatively replied, ”Command... ability?”

”It is a clear understanding of your own Pokémon!”

Baimu decisively abandoned guided teaching and explained, ”Without understanding your own Pokémon, you cannot reach the best possible level in breeding, battling, or everyday interactions. Besides its racial nature, individual personality, and daily habits, knowing what it can do, what it can’t do, and where its limits lie is also very important.”

He pointed to the large pit on the field: ”When Garchomp was hit by an Earthquake attack underground, did you wonder if it would lose its fighting ability because of it?”

Ying Ma looked embarrassed, yet still nodded.

Baimu shrugged, ”So, you have no understanding of Garchomp’s limits and have no idea it could withstand such an attack. The trust relationship between you is severely lacking, and trust precisely builds on understanding.”

”But there have been similar situations before...” Ying Ma weakly retorted.

He interrupted, ”First of all, a Pokémon can grow, what was impossible before doesn’t mean it will be impossible in the future. Secondly, Dragon-type Pokémon are proud. When they realize you don’t have expectations of them, they will not respond to you, and you naturally won’t get an accurate answer.”

Baimu glanced at the nearby Ying Yuan, ”You’ve been too well protected by your big brother, resulting in your Pokémon rarely encountering moments where they truly need to struggle. If you want to be an ordinary Breeder, that’s fine.

”But as long as you want to be a Trainer, don’t let your Pokémon lose the opportunity to struggle. Only by moving forward time and time again, breaking limits time and time again, can you slowly become stronger.”

Ying Ma hadn’t reacted yet, but Otsuka and others were moved to applause.

As if his speech was very brilliant.

Baimu kicked the butts of these fools with annoyance, ”Do you think I wasn’t talking about you? Or do you think spending half a month on the Fury has made you understand your Pokémon very well? All of you take a Pokémon and go running!”

”Understood!”

Otsuka and others responded loudly, then ran to the side with mischievous smiles and released their Pokémon.

Ying Ma puzzledly asked, ”Running with a Pokémon? What is this for?”

”To synchronize the pace with your Pokémon and closely observe their demeanor during exercise. This way you can judge which expression corresponds to which situation during a battle.

”At the same time, train your willpower to keep your spirit at its best at all times, to deal with long-term battles. This is the foundational training method taught to me by Four Heavenly Kings Drake of the Hoenn Region.”

Baimu thoughtfully explained and then wondered, ”So what are you still waiting for?”

Ying Ma, stunned, pointed at himself, ”Me too?”

”Not only you, but all of you! Myself included!” His gaze moved past Ying Ma, landing on all the Trainers on the battlefield, including Ying Yuan.

After saying this.

He released Mawile and followed in Otsuka and the others’ footsteps.

Upon seeing this, Ayana quickly released Quagsire. The adorable giant salamander stayed put for a few seconds before clumsily chasing after its Trainer when Ayana had already run three or four meters ahead.

Ying Yuan silently stepped in. He often exercises, otherwise, how could he have a body like a fitness champion?

”Big brother, wait for me!” ℯℯ𝑙.

Ying Ma handed Garchomp to the resident doctor of the arena and hurriedly chased after the other Trainers, with Kendall joining in after wrapping up with the visiting Trainers.

In a moment.

A large group of people and Pokémon were running around the edges of the vast arena.

The visiting Trainers watched with amusement, but had no intention of joining, preparing to head to work after packing their belongings.

Having a few pre-work battles as a warm-up is their habit, just like morning exercises.

The arena Trainers who didn’t get the chance earlier looked at each other in dismay.

”Should we... join in?”

”Boss is running too...”

”What is Boss really thinking, does he plan to hand the arena over to the Rainbow Team and just leave? Then wouldn’t our half-year defense have been meaningless!”

”Oh, let’s run, don’t embarrass Boss in front of the Rainbow Team, everything can be discussed privately later.”
