Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1168: Chapter 690: Teacher Baimu_3

He snapped his fingers again.

The spinning tail fin of Milotic suddenly accelerated, and the swirling indigo storm absorbed all the Thunder released by Electrode.

Then, returned it all back!

Boom——!!

The lightning tornado instantly engulfed the rotund Electrode, pouring forward with its terrifying power right by Kendall’s side.

Everyone felt the strong wind hitting their faces, making it hard to open their eyes for a moment.

Seconds later.

Bang!

The ground suddenly trembled.

The violent wind gradually subsided, and the thin smoke and dust slowly dissipated as far as the eye could see.

All the Trainers looked in shock at the Electrode fainted outside the field.

With just one hit...

”This technique is called Attack in Place of Defense. Simply put, it uses the opponent’s attack to counterattack, thereby achieving defensive purposes.”

Baimu briefly explained to Ayana, ”It seems simple, but it actually requires the Trainer to have a deep understanding of the technique, as well as enough keen reflexes to seize the brief moment for counteraction.”

Ayana’s eyes were blank.

She had seen techniques neutralize each other many times, but she had never seen a technique borrowing the power of the opponent’s technique to counterattack!

Ying Ma was extremely excited, and Ying Yuan’s face was full of radiance.

It wasn’t hard to hear from Baimu’s explanation that this technique was of very high value, but countering the opponent with their own technique was so spectacular!

It was irresistible for them not to yearn for it!

”Mr. Kendall, shall we continue?” Baimu sought the other’s opinion.

Electrode was even weaker than he had imagined, and in his prediction, this defensive counterattack shouldn’t have outright defeated it.

Unexpectedly...

A wild Pokémon is only so-so after all.

”Please continue.”

Kendall recalled Electrode, with shock in his eyes along with a desire to learn humbly.

He released his second Pokémon——

A gray-blue, muscular Machamp, with muscles bulging like marble.

”Rush up and use Thunder Fist!” he ordered quickly.

”Machamp!”

Machamp let out a roar, its four fists simultaneously flashing with lightning, crackling as it sprinted.

Baimu nodded slightly and said, ”Machamp’s four hands indeed are an extra advantage. Although the Attribute Energy is dispersed, it also means more variables can be added. Besides skills, the Pokémon’s own quality is very important in battles.”

While speaking.

Machamp already approached Milotic, but the latter did not retreat but advanced instead, swinging its long tail to deflect the two left punches coming from Machamp!

Pa-pa!

”Machamp!?” Machamp was stunned that its fists, capable of punching through steel plates, were blocked so easily!

But before it could react any further, Milotic swirled around and wrapped itself around it.

”Tight Binding.”

”Machamp!”

Machamp’s eyes turned fierce, quickly pounding Milotic’s body with its four fists!

Crackle——

Boom!

Smoke rose, and quickly cleared.

Everyone saw that Milotic, who took the full Thunder Fist, remained unfazed, as if the move hadn’t hit it at all, while Machamp clung tightly to Milotic’s body, trying to pry it open.

Unexpectedly, the more it struggled, the tighter its opponent squeezed.

”Kendall and Machamp’s alertness isn’t enough, the situation of the last round already suggested the gap between both sides. Thinking calmly, recklessly approaching Milotic without retreating timely is definitely the wrong choice—— Hypnosis Techniques.”

Baimu issued another command.

Kendall repeatedly shouted for Machamp to break free, but Naihe couldn’t do it.

”Powerful Takedown!”

He finally issued a move command.

Baimu said to Ayana, ”A wise choice, but the opportunity has been missed.”

”Machamp!”

Machamp’s forehead veins bulged, and it kicked the ground fiercely, directly lifting and slamming Milotic to the ground!

Milotic loosened its binding tail and brought its eyes in front of Machamp, emitting a pinkish-purple wave from its eyes.

”Machamp...”

Machamp’s eyes grew heavy, gradually falling asleep.

Kendall saw this scene, sighed, and unclenched his tightly clenched fists.

Baimu asked, ”What happened? The match isn’t over yet.”

”Machamp...is already hypnotized, I’ve lost this round too.” Kendall said regretfully, and a whisper of regret echoed around.

He smirked and earnestly told Ayana, ”A qualified Trainer can only declare a battle’s win or loss in one situation, and that is when their Pokémon truly loses the ability to fight. Otherwise, no matter how strong the opponent, or how unfavorable the situation is for your side, as long as you persevere, you can always find hope.”

”...Really? Even in the current situation?”

Ayana questioned.

Baimu chuckled, ”As long as you have faith in your Pokémon, it will respond to you, no matter when or what situation it is. However, if you’ve already given up, even if the Pokémon has extraordinary abilities, it can’t save a battle where the Trainer has no will to fight.”
