Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1157: Chapter 685: Gym Leader_2

When Hydreigon was young, it would often gnaw on it, and it would often torment Deino with Absorption Power.

The two sides have been entangled up to now.

Unfortunately, Corsola was too passive and, along with Baimu feeding too many levels to Hydreigon, the gap between them widened, and Hydreigon began to oppress Corsola.

A while ago, he acted unilaterally, causing a falling out, and yet inexplicably, they got back on good terms later.

Ying Ma spotted the Corsola and immediately said to Ying Yuan, ”This is a Galar Region’s special Corsola; it’s a Ghost Attribute... uh!”

Suddenly, he remembered that this battle would determine whether Ying Yuan agreed to let him go out, and he should be on Baimu’s side.

Carelessly revealing information wasn’t helping the enemy?

Ying Yuan didn’t mind at all and said to Baimu, ”Since you’ve chosen your first one, it’s my turn now.”

The Pokeball flew out.

Bam!

A flash of white light.

”Guma!”

The powerful and tall Ursaring stood up straight.

A General Attribute against a Ghost Attribute?

Baimu was very surprised by Ying Yuan’s choice. Even though Ying Yuan rarely battles outsiders, making it hard to gauge his strength and Pokémon, as the former leader of Pyrite Arena, it shouldn’t be difficult for him to bring out an Evil Attribute Pokémon.

He wanted to see what was peculiar about Ursaring.

Ying Ma, serving as referee, couldn’t wait to shout start.

Both sides almost simultaneously issued orders.

”Bodybuilding!”

”Curse.”

”Guma!!”

Ursaring roared upward, a red mist-like glow enveloping it, with terrifying muscles faintly revealing themselves beneath its thick fur.

A Black Mist of resentment rapidly turned into a terrifying ghostly figure around Corsola, its eyes bleeding with an intense negative emotion that caused Ying Ma, watching, to shiver.

What’s going on?

Mood swings upon waking!

”Sha!”

Harshly, Corsola unleashed the curse, ghostly shadows screaming terrifying screams in the direct sunlight, shaking Ying Yuan, who had been calm until now.

Whoosh!

The wind whistled.

The cursed ghostly figure instantaneously moved in front of Ursaring, the blood-red eyes made of red light locked onto it, and only when Ursaring’s roar faded did they show a menacing expression before merging into its body.

This curse composed of Ghost Attribute Energy was so lifelike?

It was hard not to think of it as a real Fierce Ghost.

”Don’t be afraid! The curse is just a special status! The opponent has already lost half of their stamina first; this is our great opportunity!”

Ying Yuan shouted, dispelling the association for Ying Ma and Ursaring, decisively commanding, ”Shattering Bite! Take it down in one blow!”

”Guma!”

Ursaring roared, emboldened, and fiercely charged toward Corsola!

Baimu gazed at the charging Ursaring without uttering a word.

Seeing this, Ying Ma panicked, wanting to remind Baimu, but as the referee, speaking arbitrarily was against the rules.

As Ursaring approached, a set of sharp teeth made of dark energy was already forming.

As it opened its massive jaws, the sharp teeth were about to engulf Corsola—

”Absorption Power.”

Baimu finally gave the command.

Ying Yuan sneered, ”Too late!”

The dark energy’s sharp teeth abruptly clenched shut!

Boom!

Smoke burst open!

Ying Ma was dumbfounded. He never expected Baimu, in whom he had placed high hopes, to perform so poorly right from the start. How could this be the way to issue commands?

Waiting until the opponent’s technique was close or even hit before making a move?

Was this a joke!

He seriously suspected that Baimu and Ying Yuan had some kind of secret agreement. How could this be Baimu’s true level?

Ying Ma angrily clenched his fists.

Suddenly.

”Why are you more anxious than I am?”

A voice reached his ears, and Ying Ma saw Baimu looking at him with surprise.

He argued, ”But Corsola...”

”Take a closer look at the field; the smoke has cleared, open your eyes wide and look carefully.”

Interrupted, Ying Ma had no time to get angry, and suddenly noticed the Corsola hit by Shattering Bite still floating in the air, emitting a green glow.

Its smoky tendrils sank into the mighty body of Ursaring, whose face was contorted in pain yet could not move.

Blue light shone.

Ying Ma and Ying Yuan were both shocked: ”Absorption Power! But this is—”

”Did you ever watch my battles?”

Baimu thought Ying Ma was strange; outwardly, he appeared to idolize him, knowing every move his Pokémon could do, yet he did not understand his tactical style at all.

Ying Yuan shouted: ”Ursaring, break free!”

”Guh—mah—”

Ursaring struggled hard but, alas, its body seemed immobilized, unable to budge.

The curse descended, causing severe spiritual pain that made it howl incessantly.

Baimu slightly shook his head and said, ”Ghost Fire!”

The smoky tendrils of Corsola retracted their Absorption Power, allowing Ursaring’s stiff body to suddenly move, and Ying Yuan commanded without hesitation: ”Retaliation!”

”Guh mah!”

The pain transformed into Ursaring’s strength, its eyes turning a furious crimson, claws glowing with gloomy blood light striking heavily on Corsola!

Crunch!

A crisp sound echoed.

Corsola was knocked away like a volleyball struck by a server, but the ghostly flames forming a spinning fiery wheel around it landed on Ursaring, unable to evade.

Boom!

The explosive flames engulfed Ursaring.

The dual pain of burns and curses visibly depleted its Spiritual Qi.

While Corsola, knocked out of the arena, floated unharmed, wobbling back into the field. Under the sunlight, its body appeared extremely smooth and shiny, with no trace of damage.

Ying Ma exclaimed in shock: ”Impossible! How can it be unscathed!”

His understanding of Baimu’s strength mainly came from battle videos, being quite a lackluster trainer himself, he had no direct concept of strength or weakness.

He only knew that his brother Ying Yuan’s Ursaring was an extremely powerful Pokémon, having once repelled multiple Pokémon sent by Ergin during a confrontation.

Yet now, it retreated again and again in front of Corsola?

Both Ying Yuan and Ursaring were shocked speechless.

”Let’s finish this, Power Gemstone.”

Baimu gestured.

Ying Yuan was reluctant to give up, shouting: ”Use Harden to break the Power Gemstone!”

A dazzling Light Wheel appeared behind Corsola, an irregular beam of white on the outside and blue inside shot forward, swiftly reaching Ursaring with glowing white claws!

”Guh mah!”

Ursaring swung its claws to block, but this power was more immense than it imagined. After only two seconds, its claws were forced open, and the beam hit its chest directly.

Boom!

”Guh mah...”

As the sound of explosion and muffled roar echoed, Ursaring’s massive figure fell back, causing the dust around it to disperse partially, kicking up a few grains of sand and stone.

Ying Ma’s mouth opened into a round shape, unable to close.

Ying Yuan frowned in silence.

Black Mist symbolizing resentment dissipated from Corsola’s body, feeling relieved, it began regretting why it had chosen to take on overtime.

Impulse is indeed a demon.

”Huh...”

It turned to its trainer, hoping to leave the stage.

Baimu raised his index finger, shaking it at Corsola, then glanced at Ying Yuan opposite him, somewhat speechless.

Originally, he thought Ying Yuan at the very least had the skill level of a mid-range Gym Leader from Hoenn, but judging by this Ursaring, it was merely slightly stronger than a newbie Gym Leader.

It’s not about levels.

It’s about the acquired training of various abilities and battle experience.

Trainers in the Ore Region may have gained rich experience battling humans, knowing to attack the opponent’s vital points or even crucial areas but they lacked considerably in competitive battles.

Can one win by relying solely on ferocity?

Ying Yuan is nearly ranked among the top trainers of Pyrite Town, if other trainers from the arenas, Silicon City, Jinqing Port are like this.

Then Baimu would be utterly disappointed.

”Mr. Ying Yuan, please continue.”

He spoke up to awaken the dazed Ying Yuan brothers.

Ying Ma hurriedly shouted: ”Ursaring has lost the ability to battle, Corsola wins.”

”You really surprised me, Boss Baimu.”

Ying Yuan remained silent for a moment, changed the way he addressed Baimu, and said: ”It seems the outside world is far more expansive than I imagined.”

Baimu gave no response, ”Please continue.”

Previously, he would bring a bit of Ore’s shock to the Hoenn People.

Now.

He wanted to offer Ore’s ”country cousins” a bit of a mainstream region’s competitive battle shock!
