Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1165: Chapter 689: The Rainbow of ”R” (Part 2)

The headquarters of the Rainbow Team is also here, and their company logo is a rainbow-colored Unknown Totem letter ”R”.

Baimu stood downstairs, looking up at the huge logo, almost spitting out old blood.

”Which genius designed this?”

”Me, this genius!”

Otsuka, whom he met halfway, smugly said, ”To design this icon, I specifically went online to find those rare characters. I ended up finding the super ancient Unknown Totem language, where rainbow is called ’Rainbow,’ so I just took the ’R’ from the beginning. They say this language holds mysterious powers!”

Baimu: ”...”

It has the flavor of someone in their adolescent phase taking all sorts of barely understood stuff and using it to create their persona.

However.

Except for the slightly shorter right leg, this icon looks exactly like the Rainbow Rocket Team’s logo in my memory!

”Isn’t this logo good?” Seeing him silent for a long time, Otsuka was slightly hurt, ”Everyone thinks it’s quite nice...”

Baimu gave Otsuka a firm pat on the shoulder and said softly, ”No, it’s good, just remember to be careful of someone named Giovanni in the future, he might come asking for copyright fees.”

”Giovanni? Copyright fees?”

Otsuka looked clueless.

Baimu chuckled; there is no Rainbow Rocket Team in the animation, but the Rainbow Rocket Team’s logo is based on the regular Rocket Team. If the Rocket Team trio saw it, who knows, they might assume this is a Rocket Team branch in Ore.

He entered the building.

Most of the people he met were familiar faces from yesterday’s welcome dinner, greeting him respectfully as ”Boss,” with some even blushing with excitement.

”Boss, you’ve finally come to the company! Ayana, the Vice President went on some kind of frenzy today, assigning a whole bunch of new appointments! The company is now in chaos!”

The Rainbow Group is structured with one President and one Vice President.

The President is undoubtedly Baimu.

”Take me to have a look.”

It’s his first time at the Rainbow Team headquarters. Hearing these people making complaints to him, he thinks it’s probably Ayana responding to the decision made last night.

This woman is always decisive, she probably worried he’d refuse.

Those people hearing his words thought Baimu was about to exert authority like a ”new” boss, eagerly leading the way.

Otsuka watched their backs with a bit of displeasure.

Although everyone moved from the Rescue Organization to the Rainbow Team, Otsuka’s batch joined the Rescue Organization later, originally from the Quicksand Team, creating slight friction with those who joined earlier.

Primarily due to factionalism.

Ayana’s ”unprogressive” behavior caused dissatisfaction among non-Quicksand Team members.

Baimu could sense the slightly unusual atmosphere within the company, sighing inwardly. Troubles really come one after another; Shanren and N already gave him a headache.

As for the Rainbow Team, he really doesn’t have the leisure to care.

Looking for a chance to resign.

He followed those people to the outside of the meeting room, hearing Ayana’s voice through the half-open door, ”Starting today, I am resigning from the Vice President position.”

The excited few froze on the spot, mouths agape.

They only wanted Ayana to be less lazy and hoped Baimu would push for improvements, leading the Rainbow Team towards a bright future, never expecting Ayana to be laid off.

Otsuka’s reaction was equally intense, assuming there was a collective pressure on Ayana, angrily rushing inside.

The next second.

He was kicked out by Ayana with her long legs.

”Hmm? You’re here at the perfect time, I’ve got everything arranged.” Ayana noticed Baimu outside the door, relaxedly smiling and asked, ”When are we going to the Pyrite Arena?”

”...You didn’t say you were resigning yesterday.” He said helplessly.

If Ayana resigns first, how could he resign too? Shanren surely wouldn’t agree; having both the President and Vice President strike would have a terrible impact.

”Resigning as Vice President doesn’t matter, I’m still a member of the Rainbow Team, just an ordinary one,” Ayana corrected him.

Is there a big difference?

Baimu didn’t want to waste time arguing about this, thanked the people who led him there, called on Otsuka, and prepared to leave.

Ayana’s capricious action would probably cause chaos within the Rainbow Team for a while.

With his subordinates noisy and quarrelsome, they might come seeking him to mediate, but what could he, a pure mascot, do?

Leaving early is wise, pretending like he was never here.

The people in the meeting room spilled out chasing Ayana, seeing a group standing cluelessly outside the door, they asked in surprise, ”What are you doing here?”

”We... Ah! The Boss is here! Baimu Boss is—where?”

They anxiously searched around, never imagining Baimu had vanished.

The group was dumbfounded.

The President and Vice President ran faster than each other, is there really no problem with the Rainbow Team?

Terri and Huo Wu exchanged a glance, both seeing the helplessness in each other’s eyes.

Though happy about promotion and power, having such peculiar leaders surely doesn’t bring joy.

Outside the building.

Baimu felt exceptionally grateful that he ran fast enough; the noise from above was crystal clear even from outside.

”Otsuka, stay here temporarily and wait for Cheng Hong, then come together to Pyrite Arena. Remember not to expose the whereabouts of me and Ayana to others.” He informed Otsuka casually.

Otsuka nodded in agreement, frequently glancing at Ayana, hesitating.

The young man didn’t understand Ayana’s considerations, initially thinking she was pressured by those troublemakers, but seeing the boss lady smiling brightly now, exuding an aura of relief.

Where’s the slightest trace of embarrassment or unwillingness from being forced out?

But if it was voluntary resignation...

Why!

Ayana ignored Otsuka’s gaze, quickly straddling her hover bike, looking at the rugged mechanical creation beneath Baimu, she asked, ”How about it? Satisfied?”

”The horsepower is a bit better than before, but can’t really tell otherwise.” Baimu always felt as long as his transportation moved, performance size didn’t matter.

Ayana clicked her tongue, ”Wasted my effort.”

Buzz!

She donned her helmet and goggles, racing towards the arena, with Baimu shrugging and following behind.

In no time.

The two reached their destination.

The arena appearance remained the familiar dome shape, the exterior composed of silver, semi-transparent glass material, no longer looking as worn as before, yet exuding a sense of antiquity.

Is it wasteland punk...

Baimu pulled out his phone to contact Ying Yuan, who seemed to have been expecting him warmly and, after answering, arrived within half a minute with his younger brother Ying Ma.

”Baimu Boss, thank you for your hard work! Please come in!”

Ying Ma was exceptionally enthusiastic.

His travel plans were still being prepared; upon hearing from Ying Yuan that Baimu intended to train other trainers at the Pyrite Arena, he immediately requested to join.

Baimu, holding the principle of training one sheep as well as a flock, agreed.

Educating more trainers also benefits future educational work.

Inside the arena.

In the spacious battlefields, many trainers commanded their Pokémon, engaging in fierce battles.

These people were mainly former subordinates of Ying Yuan and Ying Ma, who continued working under them after Ore’s liberation.

Currently, Pomyre Arena no longer hosts gambling, primarily renting out fields to external trainers for battles in exchange for compensation, occasionally hosting one or two entry-fee-required small competitions.

Achieving a balance is unlikely, but Shanren seemed interested in the arena.

He would occasionally allocate funds to Ying Yuan and Ying Ma, allowing them to maintain arena operations, so far without any issues.

Ying Yuan said, ”I’ll call them over.”

”No need.”

Baimu shook his head, intending to observe these trainers’ battle techniques first, then assess their and Pokémon’s talents.

His time was limited, choosing to focus on nurturing a few capable trainers.

Distributing benefits can wait for later.

Seeing this, Ying Yuan remained silent; Ying Ma excitedly followed behind, with Ayana staying one position back, displaying utmost sidekick demeanor.

The group wandered around, roughly checking the venue situation.

”Hmm...”

Baimu frowned.

The quality of these arena trainers... is worse than he imagined!

Feels more reliable to expect Otsuka and the others; those guys became sailors for half a month, rapidly improving in overall fitness and Pokémon’s various qualities.

They’d surely have no problem crushing the arena’s trainers.
