Chapter 1187 -699: Lugia’s Assistance

Baimu was a bit surprised.

He wasn’t sure if the Lugia mother and child had come specifically to find him or if they had just happened to notice the Silver Feather and come closer.

Anyway, this rain came at just the right time!

Timely Rain!

He smiled at the group of Lycanroc who had nowhere to run and had all turned into drowned rats.

The once prideful dogs had their wet fur clinging to their skin, looking dejected, with a clueless expression as they gazed at the sky, appearing rather pitiful.

“Thanks, but no need, go help Miss Helena instead.”

Baimu instructed the considerate Gengar holding an umbrella to assist Helena.

The Ori weather was hot, and normally a thin gauzy dress was enough. Such a light outfit getting wet in the rain could easily go see-through.

Hearing this, Gengar flew over to Helena.

Helena, not being so thick-skinned as to let Gengar hold the umbrella for her, just smiled and thanked it and Baimu.

“Roar!”

“Sizzle——”

Many wild Pokémon scattered and fled, especially those with Rock, Fire, and Ground attributes.

They were mostly naturally afraid of rainwater.

Especially the likes of Onix, which loathed water so much that even a drop wouldn’t do, had already dug holes and fled early, leaving behind pits of various sizes in the mountain.

“…”

Aggron looked at those pits with an awkward expression.

It hated such unauthorized acts of altering its territory’s environment. But what could you do? They were trying to avoid the rain; you couldn’t just let them get soaked, right?

It hadn’t gone crazy enough to defend its territory that way.

Feeling uncomfortable was inevitable.

“I’ll have them help fill these in later, don’t worry.” Baimu noticed his ace’s small emotional flare and lightly patted its rain-soaked metal armor.

Aggron, seeing its Trainer showing concern for it and not putting all his focus on the Lugia mother and child, felt much more at ease.

In fact.

It always felt like its Trainer’s attitude towards those known as Legendary Pokémon was different from towards ordinary Pokémon.

From Lei Gong, Rayquaza, Zygarde, to the Lugia mother and child, and Shadow Lugia, and so on.

Encountering so many Legendary Pokémon, the Trainer always carried immense enthusiasm.

Although it wasn’t to the extent of showing a warm face to cold treatment, it could see the difference, confident in its judgment as someone familiar with the Trainer.

Therefore, Aggron also felt a sense of crisis.

Not worried about being abandoned for a Legendary Pokémon, but concerned that if any Legendary Pokémon joined the team, would its position still be secure?

The Big Monster cared quite a bit about its ace position.

Whenever battling with Mawile or Hydreigon, it seemed calm on the surface but secretly exerted all its effort, fearing being suppressed by these two fierce ones.

It had to admit every Legendary Pokémon was very powerful, powerful enough to earn the respect of some untamed wild Pokémon.

No way.

It needed to become stronger still.

At least to fix the flaw of only taking hits from equally fast enemies with little chance to retaliate.

Aggron thought of the Special Attack techniques the Trainer taught it and decided to focus on honing them recently, truly enhancing its long-range attack capability.

“Roar!”

It roared towards its companions, planning to make use of some Pokémon who were scattering to avoid rain by sheltering them in the holes Onix dug.

This approach made Baimu’s eyes light up, “Smart! Let’s do that! Everyone, come and help out!”

He called to his Pokémon, with Hydreigon and Porygon II being the first to respond, followed by Mawile and the others.

Blissey had already started using Strong Mental Will to carry injured Pokémon.

It was always the type to do, not say, which often led to Baimu overlooking it while focusing on other Pokémon.

It wasn’t until the Porygon II video recorder showed him some footage on his phone later that he realized this Large Egg had done so much unnoticed.

On the other hand, Steelix, who should have been more familiar with wild Pokémon, discreetly showed an uncaring, detached attitude.

Or rather, it had never cared about these wild Pokémon that occupied the mountain.

Never even spoke a word on their behalf.

And fundamentally.

Steelix had let them stay here mainly for the purpose of using them as tools for planting trees and grass.

It remembered N’s Zorua secretly mentioning that having these Pokémon live here would speed up making the mountains vibrant and earn praise from the Trainer and companions.

Turns out that’s exactly what happened.

Steelix enjoyed the praise from Aggron and the Trainer, and as for those Pokémon being driven away? Then let them be driven away.

Persuade them to stay?

Then let them stay.

Whatever the Trainer said was what mattered.

Steelix didn’t care about many things, unlike Baimu with his complicated considerations.

“Everyone, follow me!”

Helena, snapping out of her shock at the sight of Lugia, also started guiding the wild Pokémon.

Before long.

All the wild Pokémon needing shelter successfully hid away.

A small number of wild Pokémon who relished the rain bounced around on the muddy ground.

『Chirp——』

The long cry grew closer.

Standing in the mud, Baimu looked up as a large and a small Lugia descended from the clouds, the smaller one plummeting almost uncontrollably fast.

“Am I supposed to catch it with my hands?”

Seeing this, his hair stood on end. The Little Lugia weighed at least a hundred kilograms, such a massive thing falling from the sky, even as a Super Ore-man, he couldn’t catch it.

That would be a job for a Super True Newbie and Super Hisui People.
