Chapter 1048: Chapter 635: Excadrill vs. Garchomp (Part 3)

This strike.

Determines the outcome!

Excadrill roared as it scattered the flying gravel, exposing the situation inside to everyone—

Blissey was unharmed!

It even seemed to have been waiting there for a long time, staring at the charging Excadrill without a trace of fear.

In an instant.

The two collided!

But the expected explosion did not occur. Blissey stretched out its hand, forcibly stopping Excadrill’s spinning drill, sparks flying at the point of contact like a welding torch!

Zzz—

Many in the audience gasped in unison.

Alice, her fist clenched, was also stunned on the spot.

Only Baimu remained expressionless throughout, until the drill-state Excadrill completely stopped spinning, suspended under Mind Control.

”Imitation!”

He issued the command.

”Excadrill, use High-speed Spin!” Alice’s face changed dramatically, quickly waving her hand to give the order.

Unfortunately, Blissey, moving second, acted faster. Its body lit up with white light, its right hand quickly forming a fist, with a milky-white airflow attached, transforming into a whistling miniature drill!

Blissey, smiling broadly, extended its fist, ”happy!”

Buzz!!

The explosion of the welding sound rang out again!

Excadrill had no time to counterattack and couldn’t exit its drill state, forced to spin madly under Blissey’s airflow.

Unlike controlled rotation, the spinning of the milky-white airflow was highly unstable and grew faster and faster!

The sand on both sides of the field roared up into the sky, dust clouds rolling to obscure the field, even the Aerial Rotom trying to film was blown away by the flying sand.

The commentator shouted: ”Excadrill’s one-hit KO failed! On the contrary, Blissey used the one-hit KO technique! What will be the outcome!?”

The technique [Horn Drill] belongs to those one-hit KO moves with scenarios where it must fail—

Attribute compatibility is zero, the user’s level is lower than the opponent’s, and the Solid Trait.

The first and third are undoubtedly impossible for Blissey, leaving only the second scenario.

Its level was higher than Excadrill’s!

Countless viewers kept their eyes fixed on the fireworks in the dust cloud until it calmed down.

Moments later.

The dust was blown away by the wind.

The two Pokémon on the field appeared.

Blissey was standing, and Excadrill was lying on the ground.

Beep—

”Excadrill is unable to battle! Blissey wins! Contestant Alice has lost three Pokémon! Five-minute intermission!”

The referee raised his flag, his voice broadcast to everyone.

Thunderous cheers erupted in response.

Alice looked at the fallen Excadrill, the ponytails on either side of her head hanging limply.

”It failed to use... It seems the True Qi Bullet didn’t have much effect either...”

She glanced across at Baimu, her expression extremely complex.

On the other side.

Baimu recalled Blissey.

During the stalemate, he had almost guessed Alice’s intentions, becoming certain when she didn’t switch as Magic Space ended.

One-hit KO.

This girl has quite a gambling nature, no success, no surviving, her aggressive style aligning with her personality.

She later became the Unova Champion, even gambling on this strategy to win against Zhulan’s Gastrodon in the Grandmaster Tournament.

Originally, Excadrill stood no chance against Gastrodon.

Of course.

Baimu also made a small bet, betting that Alice’s Excadrill’s energy level was lower than Blissey’s.

Estimating level is truly difficult unless he had the opponent’s Pokeball and logged it into his own Illustrated Guide.

Just from appearances, it’s really hard to judge who’s higher or lower.

Or letting Porygon II directly peek into the opponent’s phone would work too...

But such an act is too unscrupulous, and naturally, he wouldn’t let Porygon II do such unless Alice were a villain that needed to be defeated.

As for Excadrill’s True Qi Bullet.

The power was decent.

But Blissey’s Special Defense allows no questioning, with its already exaggerated stamina combined with excellent Special Defense, making it a monster that even those dedicated to Special Attacks have to look up to.

Mere Excadrill’s True Qi Bullet.

Now, if you were using a Mega Lucario, that might be another story!
