Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1015: Chapter 622: Mega Kangaskhan (Part 2)

The commentator’s voice was loud and clear, ”Its performance in the previous matches can be considered outstanding! Let’s look forward to its battle with Gengar!”

As the words fell.

The referee’s flag waved down, ”The match begins!”

Baimu was on guard against Elma’s opening move of Super Evolution and immediately shouted, ”Ghost Fire!”

Against a Pokémon like Kangaskhan that mainly relies on physical attack output, Ghost Fire is enough to render it half useless.

”Geng!”

Gengar opened its gaping mouth, and violet ghostly flames flew out, rotating around it like lanterns.

It hurriedly moved towards Kangaskhan.

Unexpectedly, the opponent seemed to have a similar idea, howling as it charged forward.

Elma held the Key Stone, eyes deep yet seemingly not intending to trigger it.

”High-Five Surprise!”

The two Pokémon closed in on each other, and when they were less than five meters apart, Kangaskhan raised its claws first, giving a sharp clap in front of the intensely focused Gengar.

Pop!

A crisp sound.

A translucent wave of light burst out from the clapping, piercing through Gengar’s body, causing its spirit to tremble violently.

”Geng!”

Gengar’s eyes widened in shock, its whole body froze on the spot, the ghost fire around it, which was about to launch, shook violently and then vanished into the air.

The commentator shouted, ”High-Five Surprise hits! The Guts Trait allows Kangaskhan to attack Ghost Attributes! Gengar’s Ghost Fire was interrupted!”

Goodness!

Baimu honestly hadn’t expected Elma not to quickly trigger Super Evolution but to first have Kangaskhan rush over for a slap.

High-Five Surprise originally belonged to non-contact techniques, which was later changed to contact techniques, just like Gengar’s altered trait.

Nowadays, it’s not surprising for some Pokémon to use the non-contact method.

But it’s unclear what the intention is.

Press the health line?

”Come to your senses! Mysterious Light!”

He shouted loudly.

”Geng!”

Shocked by High-Five Surprise, Gengar quickly regained its composure, facing the smiling Kangaskhan and Little Kangaskhan with growing anger, its eyes shooting out bizarre multicolored swift lightning!

Buzz!

Elma commanded, ”Electric Shock Wave!”

Kangaskhan surged with electric light, releasing a bolt of lightning toward the swift lightning, and the collision exploded into a cloud of dust, dissipating quickly.

Why is every one of them so troublesome?

Baimu almost lost count of how many times his transformation techniques attempt had failed; Elma’s defensive ability is simply exceptional.

”Mud Bomb!”

Gengar was not discouraged, its claws glinting with chaotic abilities like a swamp, shooting mud balls forward!

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!

”Dazed Fist!”

Elma was unhurried, and Kangaskhan and Little Kangaskhan were equally calm, stepping back slightly as the mud balls approached, its left claw drawing circles in front of it.

An intangible cyclone of General Attribute energy formed, not only drawing in the mud balls, but even the toxic sludge from the exploded mud balls couldn’t advance, all being held outside of its fist area.

Hiss...

Hiss...

The grass lifted wisps of cyan smoke due to the corrosive toxicity of the sludge.

Gengar was dumbfounded, Kangaskhan’s method of dealing with Mud Bomb reminded it of a technique in which the altered-color Milotic excelled——

Attack in Place of Defense!

How could this guy know?

Baimu’s directive came again, ”Don’t be scared! Sneak into the shade of the grass and circle behind it! Then attack with True Qi Bullet!”

”Geng!”

Gengar unhesitatingly darted into the shadow of the weeds, disappearing from Kangaskhan’s sight, then appeared behind it, its claws gathering Fighting Attribute energy into a sphere.

The shining light cast a pale glow over its face.

Elma shouted, ”Rush!”

Kangaskhan clenched its left claw, slightly retracting its right leg before turning swiftly like lightning, swinging a blood-red beast claw at Gengar!

At the same time, Gengar’s True Qi Bullet was formed, a chaotic stream of light blue energy sweeping over the grassy ground, its main energy wave clashing fiercely with Kangaskhan’s scarlet beast claw!

Boom!

A thunderous roar!

Gengar was uncontrollably knocked back along with the shock wave, green grass flying around it, though it paid no attention to this, just keeping its eyes fixed on the smoke.

Amidst the murkiness, high-energy fluctuations transmitted from within.

The commentator said, ”Rush and True Qi Bullet collided! The Pokémon once again start with a stalemate, next Gengar—oh oh oh! What is happening in the smoke!?”

His words drew countless spectators’ gazes towards the rising smoke, where they saw an astonishingly colorful light swirling, a hazy gene chain flashing through.

In the next moment.

”Garu!”

”Garui!”

A big and a small voice resounded.

A gust of wind blew away the smoke, revealing a pit that showed a Mega Kangaskhan nearly unchanged from its previous form, and a little Kangaskhan, its appearance transformed, leaping out of the pouch with fighting spirit!

Elma quietly set down the Key Stone in hand.

The commentator exclaimed excitedly, ”Super Evolution! Ladies and gentlemen, what you’re witnessing is the miraculous event acclaimed as evolution beyond evolution! Elma’s Kangaskhan has successfully displayed it!”

”Gen.”

Seeing this scene, Gengar instinctively turned to look at its trainer, who nodded, indicating that it was right.

Baimu largely understood Elma’s strategy.

High-Five Surprise was a move to use the Guts Trait to gauge Gengar’s remaining stamina, and after getting the desired answer, the Super Evolution was then planned.

Honestly speaking.

If not done at the start with Super Evolution, it’s quite a matter of timing during the battle.

Elma was very daring, and Kangaskhan’s strength was unexpectedly strong; clearly, it was so easily defeated by Guzma’s Scizor in Sun and Moon.

Now switching Pokémon was not an option, Gengar, this novice fellow, had set its mind on fighting to the end.
