Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1030: Chapter 628: Thunder on a Rainy Day

”The ultimate Big Character Burst Flame! Even the rain can’t dim the brilliance of the flames!”

The commentator exclaimed with excitement, ”The first Pokémon to lose combat ability in the semifinals has been taken down by Baimu and his Pokémon partner once again!”

Wow!

The crowd erupted into applause like a tidal wave, and the audience couldn’t contain their excitement, cheering for the roaring Hydreigon.

Pokémon battles are most thrilling when it’s a head-on collision!

The back-and-forth strategy with transformation techniques is only exciting to those who really understand it. Regular battle enthusiasts prefer direct, straightforward combat.

This is also why most Trainers have a pile of attacking techniques for their Pokémon, with only a few transformation techniques.

Within the arena.

Leon’s already dark face had turned even darker.

To have a chance at defeating the Hydreigon, he specifically sent out Scizor early, not expecting the opponent to intentionally lure him into attacking, then counter with close-range techniques to end the battle.

Too confident!

He couldn’t understand why Baimu was so certain that Hydreigon could not only withstand Scizor’s attack but also catch it in time.

If Scizor hadn’t been caught, wouldn’t it have taken a hit for nothing?

Leon felt that he and his Pokémon might have been underestimated.

Fine, fine.

Is that how you play?

He angrily pulled out a Pokeball to switch out Scizor, then threw a Diving Ball.

”Don’t let them look down on us! Go!”

Bang!

A flash of white light.

The Kabutops with a horseshoe crab-shaped head and a pair of double scythes made its appearance.

The commentator shouted, ”Leon has sent out Kabutops! It’s a Fossil Pokémon that once lived in ancient times!”

”Kabba!”

It vigorously rubbed its scythes, and the bright blade’s clash sent off dazzling sparks, which made people shiver.

In response, Hydreigon unleashed a fierce Dragon’s Pulse!

Roar!

The indigo, crimson, and azure dragon flame converged in the void, and the ferocious energy fire dragon roared, rushing toward Kabutops!

However, just like Scizor, this fellow had surprisingly quick reflexes, leaping high to evade before the Dragon’s Pulse hit.

Bang!

Smoke rose.

The falling Kabutops landed in a patch of grass, tauntingly gazing at the Hydreigon in the sky.

”Kabba!”

A secret weapon?

Baimu slightly raised an eyebrow. The information collected by Porygon II didn’t include Kabutops.

He hadn’t expected Leon to have this ace up his sleeve.

The Trait should undoubtedly be Free and Easy, and the speed-boosted Kabutops is indeed a suitable physical attacker for a Rain Team.

However.

How much longer can this weather last?

He glanced up at the rain clouds, which seemed to be dispersing, and quickly commanded, ”Taunt!”

Even if it’s difficult to predict when the rain will end, one mustn’t give Kabutops a chance to manually start Rain Dance.

Leon defiantly said, ”Use Water Jet to show your speed!”

”Shaza!”

High above, Hydreigon looked down at the taunting Kabutops in the grass, its ferocious expression quickly turning into an indescribable contempt.

It even broke into a slightly twisted smile, full of mockery.

Three heads, three faces, super multiplier!

There was no denying that this foolish dragon had a far greater gift for taunting than Mawile, and Baimu could clearly feel the shock and anger in the triangle eyes of that Fossil Pokémon.

”Kabba!”

Kabutops roared, waving its scythes, its thin body suddenly vanishing from the spot!

Crash!

Splashing water and grasses flew high as the water and leaves fell. The once lush grass was left with only a small patch of bare stems, resembling a harvested wheat field.

”Shaza...”

Unlike the previous battle with Scizor, Hydreigon did not climb skyward but remained in place, closing its eyes.

Rather than relying on sight, which could be misled by the opponent’s speed, it trusted its innate expertise—

Scent!

Rain poured down, releasing a strange smell when it hit the earth and grass.

But none could mask the unique scent of Kabutops, a slightly salty smell reminiscent of the sea.

Suddenly.

All its eyes snapped open, and like lightning, it raised its head skyward, unexpectedly spotting Kabutops wrapped in a sea-blue current, like a missile.

This guy was planning an attack from a higher altitude!

”Dragon Dive!”

”Shaza!”

Hydreigon let out a thunderous roar, Dragon Attribute Energy suddenly surging and transforming around its body into a terrifying energy three-headed dragon!

The two clashed with a loud bang!

Boom!

A white mist-like shockwave exploded in mid-air above the arena, spreading to the audience in the blink of an eye, lifting countless people’s hair and drawing gasps.

Then, dragon flame and smoke burst forth, shrouding everything!

The commentator shouted, ”Water Jet and Dragon Dive are in a fierce clash! In a critical moment, Hydreigon spotted Kabutops’ move! What will be the outcome?”

As the words fell.

The smoke was dispersed by Hydreigon’s wings. It hovered in the air, slightly panting. The icy rain had long soaked its fur, but it didn’t mind.

Kabutops landed in the distance, half buried in grass, down on one knee, exhaustion written all over its face.

”Kabba...”

”Evenly matched! Both sides have expended some stamina! Clearly, this charge wasn’t decisive!”

The commentator’s words disappointed some in the audience while kindling hope in others.

Liuqia stared at the arena, showing not a hint of worry on her face.
