Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 1031: Chapter 628: Thunder Strike on a Rainy Day (Part 2)

She knew that no matter how fast Kabutops was, it couldn’t outpace Baimu’s Pokémon, because he had once defeated the strongest Water Attribute Trainer!

Compared to Mikoli, who held nothing back in Gym Battles, Leon fell far short!

”Kabutops!”

As the person involved, Leon was somewhat incredulous.

It’s important to know that the rain advantage for Kabutops not only included increased speed but also enhanced the power of Water Attribute techniques.

Adding to that, they initiated the attack, calculated while attacking Hydreigon from above, yet they ended up at a disadvantage!?

What a joke!

Is his Pokémon really that strong?

Baimu had no idea of the waves surging in his opponent’s heart; he merely ordered the pursuit: ”Meteor Shower!”

”Whirl!”

Hydreigon took a deep breath, quickly gathering high-energy fluctuations at his chest and abdomen, and an irregular mass of energy was presented to everyone through his body.

”Stand up! Use Water Jet again! Give it your all!”

Leon yelled fervently.

Upon hearing this, Kabutops slightly lowered his body, folded his scythe-like double wings, and vanished with a swoosh!

Water splashed up!

It was covered in water flow, like a bullet cutting through the field.

If a frontal confrontation doesn’t work, then try attacking from behind, since it moves faster!

Yet, before Kabutops could close in on Hydreigon and maneuver around to the front, the latter had already completed the energy wave, raised its three heads, and unhesitatingly fired into the sky!

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Like a mortar firing!

Whoosh——

Accompanied by piercing wails, three dark violet light globes broke through the rain clouds high above and burst open, transforming into countless dark violet meteors that seemed capable of destruction, flying down as thick clouds and rain were scattered.

The dense rain became sparse, and Kabutops’ speed suddenly dropped!

Leon’s expression changed dramatically, shouting: ”No! Be careful to dodge!”

One of the advantages of the Rain Team is unmatched speed, but this speed is also affected by the weather, once the rain stops, the Pokémon’s combat power drastically reduces.

”Ka-boom!”

Kabutops looked up at the approaching dark violet meteors, instinctively attempting to evade these rapidly moving energy arrows.

However, Hydreigon intentionally used its three heads to increase the accuracy and expand the coverage of its technique.

Even though it had exerted seventy percent of its effort to dodge, it was inevitably hit by a few scattered meteor light arrows.

Bang!

The first meteor light arrow shattered the external water ring.

Bang!

The second meteor light arrow dispersed the middle layer of the water membrane.

Bang!

The third meteor light arrow exploded directly on Kabutops’ thin back!

Losing its balance, it fell into the bushes, groaning as it desperately tried to stand up.

The commentator shouted: ”Meteor Shower landed! It seems very effective! Kabutops suffered severe injury!”

”Kabutops, hold on! Use Climbing Waterfall to charge upward!”

Seeing Hydreigon showing signs of charging downward, Leon unhesitatingly issued the command.

Compared to Water Jet, Meteor Shower requires more attribute energy, and that guy surely can’t initiate a technique immediately.

If they could charge up first, the chances of victory wouldn’t be small.

As long as Kabutops could use Climbing Waterfall!

Under Leon’s expectant gaze, Kabutops revealed his dual scythes, bending his knees slightly before leaping fiercely!

Swoosh!

The rain had merely lessened but hadn’t completely stopped, its free and easy manner could still be triggered by absorbing more rainwater, with speed, it could never lose to Hydreigon!

”Ka-boom!”

A massive amount of azure water erupted from beneath Kabutops’ feet, propelling its body upwards.

But just as it fully ascended, Hydreigon lunged straight at it!

”Whirl!”

This guy unexpectedly didn’t use any technique, simply charged recklessly towards Kabutops, as if initiating a suicidal attack.

The two collided fiercely.

Bang!

Who could have thought such a collision, the water stream beneath Kabutops shattered like a bubble, completely unable to generate more thrust to push Hydreigon back into the sky.

Instead, Hydreigon’s charge caused both Pokémon to crash to the ground, tumbling and entangled with each other.

The commentator excitedly shouted: ”Close combat! Is Hydreigon about to showcase its imposing physique pressure again?”

Leon’s pupils dilated, the familiar scene made him exclaim: ”No! Quickly push it away! Kabutops, use Metal Sound to disrupt it!”

”Power of the Earth!” Baimu mercilessly issued the command.

In a close combat entanglement with Kabutops, Hydreigon’s six eyes turned scarlet, its tail fiercely slammed onto the ground.

Bang!

The ground cracked, spreading all the way to nearby areas.

The three heads of Hydreigon each clamped onto a part of Kabutops and swung it with great force!

”Ka-boom—”

Kabutops didn’t sense anything amiss, and after being flung, it used the momentum to adjust its posture, opening its mouth as if to launch a ferocious attack again.

Until a dazzling golden light appeared before its eyes.

Boom——!!

A vast surge of Ground Attribute Energy shattered the earth, pouring over Kabutops like a volcanic eruption, completely engulfing it.

”A strong blow! Hydreigon’s bodily suppression is unstoppable! Kabutops was thrown into the eruption range of Power of the Earth!”

The commentator shouted.

The smoke cleared.

Only to see half of Kabutops’ head buried in a pit, its eyes replaced by black swirls.

”Kabutops has lost the ability to battle! Hydreigon wins!” The referee waved the flag.

Deng!

The circle next to Leon’s avatar that belonged to Kabutops dimmed, causing his mood to crumble. Losing twice in the same place had dealt him a massive blow.

He looked at the panting Hydreigon, then glanced up at the dissipating rain clouds, seething with frustration.

This Pokémon had used so many techniques from the start with a lot of full-powered attacks, yet its Attribute Energy hadn’t been exhausted?

Just now starting to feel tired?

The rain had already ended!

Everyone here is a tournament contestant, so why is there such a gap?

Leon couldn’t believe he couldn’t defeat even one of Baimu’s Pokémon, quickly switching out Kabutops, and after a brief hesitation, threw out the next Pokeball.

”It’s up to you now! Politoed!”

Bang!

”Quah~”

Politoed landed. Although it had been hit by Hydreigon’s Evil Fluctuation attack at the start, it was still in relatively good condition.

The rain clouds in the sky started gathering again.

The gentle drizzle began to water the grassy field once more.

Baimu saw Leon sent out a new Pokémon and immediately commanded, ”Feather Rest!”

The tournament rules stipulate that during the time between an opponent’s Pokémon losing the ability to battle and switching, issuing commands to Pokémon is not allowed.

Similarly,

an opponent can’t delay the switching time, or it will be considered a loss due to a lack of fighting spirit.

”Song of Destruction!”

Leon shouted.

He was certain that Hydreigon wouldn’t leave the field until it had defeated the third Pokémon, so attempting the Song of Destruction was promising!

Of course,

even if Baimu chose to switch, he could also choose to switch, so there would be no loss either way.

Leon was determined to take a gamble.

”Quah~ Quah Quah~”

As Hydreigon landed in the damp grass, enjoying the sky-borne feathers that restored its stamina, Politoed also sang its eerie melody.

Dark musical notes danced into Hydreigon’s body.

The two Pokémon on the field both entered a countdown.

Sing the Song of Destruction?

Baimu raised an eyebrow slightly; it was his first time seeing a Trainer sing the Song of Destruction in a singles match.

Is this to force a switch?

He couldn’t quite understand Leon’s intention, given that none of the six Pokémon on his side had been defeated, singing the Song of Destruction seemed meaningless except for wasting Attribute Energy.

”Want to see my next one? Then as you wish.”

Baimu took out a Pokeball, retrieved Hydreigon after it finished using Feather Rest, and then swiftly threw another one out.

The commentator shouted upon seeing this, ”The Song of Destruction has been effective! This has made Contestant Baimu decide to swap Pokémon! What kind of Pokémon will he send out?”

Bang!

A flash of white light.

”Roar~”

Aggron entered the field, crushing a large patch of grass, its massive form slightly sinking into the wet and muddy ground.

Raindrops fell on its steel armor, reflecting a captivating halo.

Baimu pointed at the Politoed, which Leon was about to switch out, ”Thunder Strike!”

Rumble!

The explosive lightning transformed into a roaring thunder dragon, crashing down from the rain clouds, heading straight for Politoed’s location, with a speed far surpassing the normal Thunder Strike!

[Rain], improving the accuracy of Thunder Strike—

Thus, shortening the charge time for Thunder Strike!

In the blink of an eye.

Politoed, with a green so verdant it almost formed a Protective Color, disappeared within the rumbling lightning!

Leon held the Pokeball, his expression astonished.
