Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 800: Chapter 521: Joy’s Ecstasy (2)

Every time they leveled up, they would be happy for quite a while; whenever they learned a new move, they couldn’t resist recording it on their phones.

Their photo albums were basically filled up with all kinds of their pictures, whether sleeping, eating, or even snoring and making angry faces when they deliberately caused trouble.

”...”

Baimu looked at Xiaoshun, who first appeared shocked and then thoughtful, holding his chin in his hand and idly poking at his salad with a fork.

He suddenly realized that his life seemed to exist for Aggron and the others.

Complaints?

Absolutely none.

After all, he was thoroughly obsessed with it.

——

The next day.

The final day to reveal the winner.

The Gorgeous Competition only had three matches, with a five-minute time limit for each, including preparation time and halftime, the morning was more than enough to bring the event to a perfect close.

Mikoli was quite excited, his opening speech was passionate, making people feel spirited and excited.

Wolves’ howls resonated through the audience directly.

Meanwhile, inside the preparation room.

Liuqia quietly told Baimu that part of Mikoli’s excitement was because after the Mikoli Cup, he would have a small vacation lasting several months.

He wouldn’t have anything to do until the Ever Grande Conference of the Hoenn Alliance ended.

The Gym Badges had already been issued in full to the appropriate Trainers, the Water Pillar Medal was about to be personally handed over to someone else, and the Champion position had long been handed over to Da Wu.

Mikoli could be said to be free of all burdens, able to do whatever he wanted.

Even if the Gym closed for a week, it was no problem as long as they hosted at least ten people monthly.

Baimu was a bit dazed hearing this.

Ah~

Annual leave~

”What about you?”

He turned his head to ask Liuqia, ”You should be quite busy next, right?”

”That depends on whether or not you can beat me.”

Liuqia proudly put her hands on her hips, saying, ”If you win, I’ll be short one ribbon and need to continue entering other Gorgeous Competitions to fill it up, which involves a lot of publicity.

”If you lose, I’ll get the Mikoli Club’s Water Pillar Medal, and might be busy for a short while, capitalizing on the heat to accept business orders and enhance promotion, etc., but then it’ll be preparing for a long period for the large Gorgeous Celebration.”

”Then I’ll try to make you work overtime.”

Baimu wouldn’t accept such taunts.

Besides, the first one he needed to defeat was someone else.

He looked towards Xiaoyao on the other side, who had just changed into a performance dress and shook her fist at him.

”Don’t blame me for not warning you! The Gorgeous Competition’s stuff might not be the same as last time, you know!”

Last time?

Referring to the day they first met?

”I’ll look forward to it then,” Baimu laughed.

From the previous two rounds of serious competitions, it wasn’t hard to see that Xiaoyao was a technical type of contestant, she had combat power in battles, otherwise, Blaziken wouldn’t have been able to tie with Sceptile in the Advanced Generation final.

Based on Baimu’s intuition, her strength should be about the same as Xiaoguang... maybe a bit weaker?

Hard to say.

After all, he had only sparred with Blaziken, and the sparring wasn’t thorough enough.

Not long after.

The two arrived at the stage, waving and greeting as they stopped at their respective positions.

The extremely heated atmosphere of the venue felt like two explosive bullets, igniting the hidden desire for a showdown in their hearts, wanting to replace Pokémon and rush in themselves.

People influence the atmosphere, and the atmosphere influences people.

Baimu had always been the former, but at this moment he felt the latter.

Why?

Had the venue’s atmosphere changed? It indeed had, the audience was more enthusiastic than yesterday, the number of people was several times that of normal Gorgeous Competitions, greatly increasing the sense of pressure.

Did Xiaoyao bring him a slight sense of crisis? A bit.

Because recalling that scene at the Kaina Conference where he barely won against Xiaoguang by a sixteenth margin.

At that time, he had been traveling for less than two months, wasn’t very mature in all areas, and the yet-to-evolve Deino had been getting pushed around by Piplup, this little penguin.

Things were different now.

Baimu took a deep breath, caressing the Pokeball.

Ding!

The crisp sound started the five-minute countdown.

Both immediately threw out their Pokeballs.

Bam bam!

”Jiji——”

Golden stars spun around, the large and gorgeous wings gently flapping, allowing a layer of light powder to slowly fall on the surface of the golden stars, dazzling and bright.

Beautifly appeared above the Water Stage, dancing freely with the scattered stars.

Well-bred indeed!

Baimu secretly praised, in the past when Milotic was still a super rare Pokémon, Beautifly was the initial secret to success in the Gorgeous Competition.

Without needing much polish, it could effortlessly earn high scores.

Unfortunately, as times changed, more people learned about Feebas’s evolution method, and Beautifly was no longer the secret to success.

Of course.

As Xiaoyao’s main Gorgeous Competition Pokémon, her breeding of Beautifly was still quite meticulous, its wing brilliance did not lose out to the Vivillon from Carlos with its twenty different patterns.

”What an adorable Beautifly!” Vivian also shouted.

Baimu was a bit surprised that Xiaoyao dared to send out a Bug Attribute Pokémon even after witnessing the Flame Storm yesterday.

Betting that he wouldn’t send out Mawile?

Hmm.

You bet correctly.

”Happy~”

The colorful score formed the round body of Blissey, whose head, knitted with a nurse cap, changed Miss Joy’s standard smile.

Her eyes lit up like searchlights.

Vivian smiled and said, ”Mr. Baimu has sent out—the healing warrior, Blissey! Everyone is surely familiar with its battle style~ Let’s look forward to it!”

The healing warrior.

No doubt this was the special nickname given to Blissey by the Gorgeous Competition enthusiasts online after it won the Shuijing Conference using a motherly love strategy.

Miss Joy was very pleased with this.

And Blissey, sensing tens of thousands of eyes staring at it from the audience seats, felt a bit nervous yet excited.

It thought to itself that it must perform well, to show the Trainer that their victory at the Shuijing Conference was no coincidence!

Ace status might still be a long way off.

But as long as this step was taken, it would be closer!

”Dodge to the side.”

Baimu’s voice suddenly reached its ears.

Without thinking, Blissey stood on one leg and suddenly spun rapidly like a top, its seemingly plump and slow body was extremely agile, successfully dodging a shot of white silk shooting past!

The source of the silk was the seemingly harmless Beautifly in the sky.

Its originally curved mouthpart had somehow straightened, and the silk it spat out was sticky, willing to bend and tie up its opponent.

Unfortunately, Blissey dodged it.

”What speed!”

Xiaoyao was a bit surprised, seeing hints of Mawile in Blissey’s spinning steps.

From the matches before, it wasn’t hard to see Baimu’s Pokémon always had extremely quick reaction speed, maybe their normal movement speed wasn’t fast, but their reactions were absolutely sharp.

She dared not ponder too long, immediately shouted, ”Continue the String Shot!”

She needed to restrain Blissey’s movements.

Otherwise, they would definitely follow in Xiaoshun and Flygon’s footsteps!

Xiaoyao knew well that Baimu’s Pokémon had a comprehensive strength much higher than theirs, and without thinking of any restrictions, they could only wait to lose.

”Grab the silk!”

Baimu ordered with a furrowed brow, gesturing a pulling motion with his hand.

The area where one could stand on the Water Stage was limited, further dodging would only lead them into the water.

In this case, it was better to be proactive.

Blissey, catching a glimpse of the Trainer’s action, immediately stopped, raising its two small hands fiercely towards the shot incoming white line, grabbing it fast!

”Happy!”

It let out a low call, attempting to pull its opponent towards itself.

”Beautifly, use Swallow Return to wrap around Blissey!” Xiaoyao shouted loudly, even if it couldn’t bind it in one go, several spins would do the trick.

”Jiji!”

Beautifly responded, its large butterfly wings flapping rapidly, circling back and forth around Blissey.

The situation might look somewhat comedic, but as long as it succeeded in tying up Blissey, all efforts wouldn’t be in vain.

The deducted points for both her and Baimu were the proof!

Xiaoyao watched eagerly, viewing as Blissey tried rotating along with Beautifly’s circling direction to avoid being trapped, once it fell into her rhythm, all would be well.

”Don’t get anxious, release Strong Mental Will along the silk line!”

Baimu’s order suddenly shattered her little hope.
