Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 797: Chapter 520: Questioning Life

Mawile appeared.

The enthusiasm in the entire venue suddenly rose by several levels.

”...”

Xiaoshun felt a slight tremor in his mind.

He rarely saw such a scene where a Pokémon seemed more popular than a Coordinator Trainer, but it was clear that he was about to face a tough battle.

To be honest, he thought Mawile would at least wait until the finals to appear. The matches in the morning did not pose too much exhaustion or pressure on Altered-color Milotic, so there was no need to replace Pokémon so soon...

Did he guess wrong?

Xiaoshun’s expression was very unpleasant. He had to be thankful that in a gorgeous battle, as long as the ineffective move due to Attribute Compatibility was used properly, it could still deduct points from the opponent.

Besides, Flygon doesn’t only use Dragon Attribute moves.

Seize the initiative!

”Use Sandstorm!”

”La-oh~”

Flygon let out a somewhat sharp cry and spread its broad wings straight into the sky.

On the open stage, it used the sudden increase in height to attract the opponent’s attention, causing them to be dazzled by the Sun and miss the opportunity to attack.

This little trick had long been mastered by Xiaoshun.

But he seemed to underestimate Baimu and Mawile. Someone who always liked to play information warfare couldn’t possibly be unaware of this little trick, ”Fairy Wind!”

”La-oh!”

Flygon flew into the sky, overlooking the stage with its back to the Sun, only to find that Mawile had already jumped into the Water Field like a nimble little deer.

However.

It did not sink into the water. Instead, as its toes touched the surface, creating a ripple, a pink air current shot upwards!

”Chi-do~”

A delicate cry was accompanied by the light ringing of silver bells.

In an instant.

The calm water surface suddenly rose into a surging tide, as if driven by some force, entwined with Mawile’s spin and the pink air current, forming a pink and blue mixed Water Spout!

Boom!

Amidst the violent explosion, the Fairy Wind Water Spout surged into the sky with unbeatable momentum, colliding head-on with the sandstorm tornado whipped up by the spinning Flygon in the sky!

Dong——!!

Almost in an instant, Flygon’s sandstorm tornado was shattered by Mawile’s Fairy Wind Water Spout, and was even partially devoured, resulting in a strong multifaceted impact!

”La-oh!!”

Within the storm, Flygon let out a pained cry.

”Can it even control water?”

Xiaoshun’s eyes widened. He didn’t have time to notice the points deduction and quickly shouted, ”Quick, break through!”

Vivian commented loudly, ”What an adorable and captivating pink storm! Flygon’s sandstorm seems completely outmatched by the Fairy Wind!”

Mawile’s fans waved their placards and flags excitedly.

Fortunately, just as Xiaoshun finished speaking.

The Fairy Wind Water Spout that surged from the water seemed to run out of momentum and dissipated, allowing the heavily impacted Flygon a chance to catch its breath, although the situation was not very pleasant.

”The reaction was too fast...”

Watching Mawile stand so easily on the water surface as if it were flat ground, Xiaoshun’s face was extremely grim.

Originally, Dragon Attribute moves were almost ineffective against the Fairy Attribute, and now Mawile took advantage of this to use Electromagnetic Levitation, ”shielding” Flygon’s Ground Attribute.

Exactly what he feared!

He had defended against this trick of Baimu, deliberately using backlight and sandstorm for restraint, but still got overcome by its strong capabilities.

”In that case—Big Character Burst Flame!”

Xiaoshun shouted.

On the other side.

Baimu, exchanging a quick glance with Mawile, realized that the latter seemed unwilling to adopt the ”Attack in Place of Defense” strategy.

Did the previous battle performance of Altered-color Milotic trigger its attacking desire?

Fine.

While using real combat to hone learned skills was a plan set before the competition started, it was also a Trainer’s responsibility to appropriately adjust according to the Pokémon’s own willingness.

New tactics corresponding to the situation quickly flashed in his mind.

”Sword Dance!”

The strategy change had to be swift; Xiaoshun was not the type to give him opportunities as a third-rate competitor!

Mawile’s eyes sparkled. Standing on the unstable water, it began its most adept spinning dance, with phantom swords appearing with its movements.

Meanwhile.

In mid-air, Flygon puffed its chest and released a burst of blazing flame downwards, but didn’t open it as a complete move, instead rushing right into it.

Bang!

With an explosive sound, amidst the exclamations of many spectators, Flygon merged with the flames.

It turned itself into a fiery meteor using Big Character Burst Flame!

The orange-red flames coated its surface but did not reveal any pain. The expression of determination on Flygon’s face under the camera stole the attention of everyone.

In the face of crisis.

This beauty of bravery and perseverance was undoubtedly praised by the judges.

And it caused Baimu’s points to be deducted.

Evidently, visual appeal was also an indispensable scoring standard in a Gorgeous Battle, and even though a single deduction wouldn’t be much, the accumulation could be terrifying.

Loom——

The air constantly trembled.

Flygon in Big Character Burst Flame turned into a fire meteor, crashing towards the center of the Water Stage, seemingly catching the Mawile engrossed in its own world off guard.

Although its dance was somewhat swaying, its moving speed was indeed slow.

Fully showcasing the low mobility drawback of the creature when it wasn’t in a burst state.
