Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 784: Chapter 515: Water and Fire Fusion!_3

Xiaoyao hesitated a little; she was also a cooking fool, and only her Munchlax was willing to eat the Energy Blocks made by machines.

”This is the Light of Gourmet! It’s the blessing of the Gourmet God! It comes from the culinary master Lokomoko from Carlos!” Xiaosheng, being knowledgeable, thoroughly educated the four inexperienced people.

While tasting, Xiaogang remarked with emotion, ”Baimu’s cooking skills have improved again, impressive.”

Once, their levels in cooking were on par, but now there was a noticeable gap... Well, it couldn’t be helped as his main goal was to become a Pokémon Doctor.

As long as his cooking was above average, it wasn’t necessary to spend more effort on it.

Still, hearing Xiaosheng say that none of Lokomoko’s apprentices had managed to recreate the Light of Gourmet to date, yet Baimu had done it.

Xiaoyao and Wula La both showed astonishment and a slight amount of respect.

Xiaoshun’s throat rolled quietly.

He was a bit skeptical, but he did think the food smelled truly appetizing.

Seeing the others enjoying the food so much, Harry simply reached out to try...

And then couldn’t stop.

A moment later.

Baimu’s luminous dish was snatched up by everyone, even Xiaoshun couldn’t help but eat more than usual, looking back at the former with complex eyes.

He had always been quietly focused on the former, because out of all the people present, he felt they were most similar—

Whether in their outstanding appearances, or their slightly aloof demeanor, alongside their formidable strength, and so on.

Their experiences were similar too, having achieved good results not long after debuting, with many followers, predominantly female, enjoying lots of attention.

At most there was a slight age difference.

But after stealthily comparing their advantages and gaps, Xiaoshun found that apart from having been a Coordinator Trainer a bit longer,

there wasn’t much where he could completely surpass the other person?

Now the other had exposed an extraordinary cooking talent...

No.

Only in the skills of a Coordinator Trainer, he absolutely wouldn’t allow himself to lose to Baimu! Whether in the first review or the grand contest.

He was determined to be the ultimate winner.

Xiaoshun thought to himself.

——

Twelve thirty.

The afternoon contest began on time.

As one of the top five contestants, Xiaoshun went to the contestant channel early to get ready.

Xiaoyao, as promised, donned the cheerleader outfit, pairing with Xiaoguang to form the Yaoguang Sister Duo, eagerly running to the venue to cheer, making Liuqia a bit envious.

Baimu also went to the venue, for nothing beats observing directly with the naked eye compared to footage through a camera.

Fortunately.

Xiaoshun didn’t make him come for nothing.

As a veteran young generation Coordinator Trainer, he was very serious about honing his skills, and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to call him a genius.

But, fate was unkind, as he always encountered even more genius people, like Robo at the first half of the Hoenn Grand Festival in the Advanced Generation, or Sahoko in the latter half of the Kanto Grand Festival.

And now at the Mikoli Club.

Xiaoshun chose Masquerain as his Pokémon.

Under his command, the latter used Water Fluctuation and Shadow Clone to create thousands of water shadows dancing in unison, constantly forming various marvelous patterns.

The high-speed flying and the ability to stop mid-air nicely showcased the characteristics of Masquerain.

Then.

Masquerain used Sunny Day to illuminate these water illusions, the strong light creating a wondrous, glass-like texture that drew applause from the audience, before quietly shattering them.

The water droplets, spinning in the air, reflected even more captivating glows thanks to the Sun.

Beautifully mesmerizing.

As always, a high-level performance.

The total score was 39 points, tied for third place with Xiaoguang.

Xiaoshun was naturally dissatisfied with this score, but even though Mikoli gave a slightly lower score, both his critique and suggestions were impeccable, leaving him nothing to argue about.

”Not impressive enough...”

Baimu chewed on Mikoli’s critique, knowing that he most likely found the performance of Masquerain lacking innovative elements, merely a slight alteration of past performances.

The standard was high, but it didn’t meet the scoring criteria set by this year’s Mikoli.

”Looks like I need to prepare myself too.”

He rubbed his face.

It was almost his turn to perform, and Mikoli’s unchanging scoring standard that afternoon made him quite nervous.
