Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 768: Chapter 508: True Love Unrivaled? (3)

The strong effect also means that infatuation doesn’t have to be cleared by being recalled; getting smacked around can also snap you out of it—provided you don’t just black out during the beating and lose the ability to fight.

Or you can just leave the Pokémon alone for a long time and it’ll wear off, though it usually lasts longer than normal status conditions.

After all, Mother Nature doesn’t hand Wild Pokémon anything like a Pokeball to hard-reset their status.

But anyway.

Being out of control for a long stretch in a real-time battle is pretty terrifying; as long as your opponent isn’t a complete idiot, they can easily seize that kind of free win.

Baimu really wanted to just chain a full combo and knock out Adam’s Milotic on the spot.

Too bad the Altered-color Milotic had clearly been hit by the move too; its big head was swaying, and it couldn’t help drifting toward the other side.

Adam’s Milotic was the same—two beautiful serpents rushing to each other head over heels.

The hell.

This is bad, right? We’re not gonna end this match with an extra egg on the field, are we? Or like, wake up one day and find an egg next to the Altered-color Milotic? With the way those two are right now, keep this up and it’s seriously possible!

He had a bad feeling, but Adam himself was standing there smiling, apparently not worried at all.

Could it be...

Baimu stared closely at Adam’s Milotic, and sure enough he could see a bit of struggle on that guy’s face. In his heart he was screaming, holy crap.

After Alice’s Haxorus headbutted itself out of confusion, is Adam’s Milotic about to break free of infatuation by sheer willpower too?

With an anime backdrop, literally anything can happen.

But if the other side can use willpower to break infatuation, why can’t we?

He started thinking up a plan.

All of a sudden.

Out of the corner of his eye, Baimu caught sight of Aggron off in the distance from the field, silently watching the match with what seemed like worry on its face, and a bold idea burst forth in his mind.

He shouted, ”Wake up, Milotic! The Big Monster is watching you!”

”Hm?”

The smile on Adam’s face faded a little; a flash of confusion passed through his eyes. He didn’t really catch what his new student was yelling.

”Milotic!! Remember Dragon Gate Waterfall! Remember the Fallarbor Conference!”

Baimu kept calling out, because he noticed the Altered-color Milotic’s head was wobbling faster now, and Adam’s Milotic’s expression was starting to show signs of struggle too.

The distance between them was already less than a meter.

A chill ran down his spine, and he yelled even louder: ”Climb past your limits! Never give up—

”Our chance is right in front of us!!”

”Rooaar!!”

The watching Aggron suddenly answered with a bellowing roar.

The Altered-color Milotic over there was only just beginning to waver, but Aggron could no longer hold back the surge in its heart. It threw aside its gentle, steady image and poured all its strength into cheering on the partner that always stayed by its side, quietly watching the sea together.

And that achieved Baimu’s true goal—

To stir Aggron’s resonance naturally, without having to rely on verbal cues or eye contact.

One is its most beloved Trainer; the other is the senior it admires, looks up to the most and also... likes so much it couldn’t possibly like them more.

Their voices kept pounding at the Altered-color Milotic’s ears, shaking its consciousness on a spiritual level.

A hint of surprise appeared on Adam’s face, because he noticed the pink hearts in the Altered-color Milotic’s eyes were starting to crumble at the edges—woken up by its Trainer’s call!?

The next moment.

”Mii—lok!”

Its golden tail burst from the water, and the fan-like tail fin slammed heavily into its own head.

Bang!

With a dull, solid thud, the Altered-color Milotic’s eyes quivered violently, then turned crystal clear as it stared at the stunned Adam before it, and at the opposing Milotic still drowning in infatuation.

Willpower?

For a Pokémon that broke through its limits and was reborn from a desperate situation, the last thing it’s afraid of competing in is willpower!

Adam might know that the Altered-color Milotic is good at Climbing Waterfall, but he probably has no clue just what it went through for the sake of that one leap out of the water.

It stopped being that weak little Feebas a long time ago!

”Miilok~”

The Altered-color Milotic lifted the front half of its body high, its hair-like fins rising slightly as it looked down at its opponent like a goddess about to pronounce judgment.

The decree of heaven followed right on its heels—

”Awakened Power.”

In an instant.

Dazzling lightning, wrapped in countless orbs of light, illuminated the entire field!
