Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 753: Chapter 501: Master Adam (2)

Learning from... No, Liuqia is his ”teacher,” so what does it matter?

This is legitimate learning!

Suddenly.

Adam spoke up beside him, ”I’ve always thought Xiao Liuqia’s talent as a Coordinator Trainer even surpasses me and Mikoli. Unfortunately, she has her own ideas and prefers Fairy Attribute Pokémon.”

The middle-aged gentleman’s words were full of true teachings that go unheeded, leaving Baimu unsure how to respond.

Coming from the Glazed Gym, Adam and Mikoli both raise Milotic as their ace Pokémon, while Liuqia, Mikoli’s niece and apprentice, uses Altaria as her ace Pokémon.

It’s perfectly normal for him to feel this way.

But there seems to be a slight probe in his tone... Sorry, my ace is Aggron, currently no Pokémon can shake its position, and even the Altered-color Milotic is a little fangirl of it, not possible to overthrow it for now.

Baimu replied, ”Indeed, Liuqia’s performances always make me dream. She also guided me on how to participate in the Gorgeous Competition, and I’ve strived with her as my goal.”

”Hehehe, Lord Baimu, you don’t have to belittle yourself. I think Blissey and Feebas’s final performance at the Fallarbor Conference can indeed be called an art.”

Adam chuckled.

His catchphrase is ”art,” and he’s also known as the ”Water Artist,” often invited by the mayor of Glazed City to perform to attract attention and boost Glazed City’s tourism culture.

He turned his head to look at Baimu, ”To see a fleeting opportunity amidst tricky attacks, and to give instructions to advance instead of retreat, thereby successfully defending, even putting on an exceptional evolution show. No matter how many times I watch it, I can’t help but praise your seamless integration.”

Although Mikoli had left a comment on Baimu’s performance video at the Kanaz Conference, it wasn’t until the Fallarbor Conference that Adam, the mentor, actually witnessed Baimu’s performance and gorgeous battles.

The final showdown left a lasting impression on him, sometimes lamenting that the new wave overtakes the old.

”I’m just standing on the shoulders of giants. The battle footage of you and Master Mikoli gave me so much inspiration.” Baimu had to admit that he studied Coordinator Trainers like Adam and Mikoli the most.

Even the defense and counterattack strategy came from these two.

At best, he’s mastered a bit of it, capable of using attacks to disperse the opponent’s attacks—while Adam’s defense and counterattack is refined to what degree?

When Xiaozhi’s Pikachu uses Thunder, he could have Seaking use Horn Drill to send it completely back.

This skill is extraordinarily rare.

Adam was very receptive to Baimu’s compliments, especially the phrase about standing on the shoulders of giants—what better proof of someone’s years of achievements than becoming a ”pioneer”?

Not overly pursuing fame and fortune, just hoping the world knows ”I was here.”

Undoubtedly.

Baimu’s style of gorgeous battling bears his imprint.

Adam inevitably appreciated this boy before him even more and asked, ”By the way, you mentioned you wished to receive my guidance?”

”Yes.”

”So, which aspect do you hope I’ll guide you on?”

”The method of cultivating Milotic... and the skills of the Gorgeous Competition.” Baimu felt a bit greedy.

Adam, however, agreed without hesitation and looked at him, ”Sure. From tomorrow until the same day next month, how does this month-long period sound to you?”

”...Much appreciated.”

Baimu agreed; the opportunity was too rare to miss.

”Very well, but how much you learn is up to your own insight.” Adam squinted, ”By the way, are you also going to participate in the Mikoli Club and Gym challenges?”

”As you can see.”

”I won’t tell Liuqia and Lord Mikoli to go easy on you; rather, I’ll have higher expectations of you. Do you have any objections?”

”That’s how it should be.”

Baimu never considered asking them to go easy to increase his chances of obtaining ribbons and badges.

He’s actually worried that the Gym Leader’s selected Pokémon might be too weak, not enough to challenge his own Pokémon!

In the distance.

Altaria shook off the water from its wings, while Liuqia and Altered-color Milotic looked bewildered at Baimu and Adam chatting happily, not understanding where two people thirty years apart found so much common ground.

—

Through Adam’s approval.

Baimu was able to stay at the Glazed Gym and finally met Adam’s beady-eyed old butler, Sebastian, whose mysterious appearances amazed him.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t meet Mikoli all afternoon.

Liuqia mentioned that recently Mikoli has been busy preparing and promoting the Mikoli Club, even neglecting the gym, and thankfully, this former Champion usually worked hard enough to complete the annual quota of badge distribution early, so closing for a few days isn’t a problem.

After dinner.

With nothing else to do, Baimu planned to go for a walk, digest a bit, and come back for some practice. He intended to ask Liuqia to join him but learned that she went to participate in a preview event for the promotion of Mikoli Club.

As one of Hoenn Region’s top Gorgeous Competition Aidoru, even if she sets aside the actor part, what’s left keeps her busy for a long time.

Busy, busy.

Baimu shook his head, bringing along the shyly invisible Dragapult and the sociable two Dreepy as he went out.

The latter two had no desire to use launch holes and liked to perch on his head, no idea why.

He then thought of the new semi-outdoor Purification Room setup he learned from Dr. Mu Yin today; Lugia’s dark conversion purification is quite promising and will soon be able to reach the minimal impact level.

At that time, Lugia can search for its own species.

Really delightful.

He walked through the downtown streets of Glazed City, the crowd and Pokémon making it bustling like a festival, and looking up, he seemed to see stars enveloped by mountains, leaving only a small circular portion.

Frog in a well?

Baimu subconsciously thought of this idiom, smiling knowingly.

The invisible Dragapult curiously watched its Trainer, eager to know what he was thinking at that moment.

Though many companions in the team often found the Trainer’s sudden changes of expression odd, switching from frowning to smiling, it understood this as a sign of being immersed in one’s own world.

It was the same, always quietly contemplating, making itself laugh.

One man and three dragons wandered around for a few circles, bought four tree fruit candy sticks, continuing to eat and stroll, only to find themselves gradually in less populated areas.

”Hmm, time to turn back.”

Baimu turned his head and suddenly noticed Brother Dragapult’s mouth leaking, syrup dripping all over his shoulder.

”Hiyah?”

Brother Dragapult found the Trainer looking at him, seemingly confused.

”You little rascal!” He sighed, taking out a napkin, looking around for a faucet to somewhat wipe it off, but inadvertently heard some commotion.

In the hazy distance, some voices sounded quite familiar.

Curious, he approached and discovered, in front of an artificial fountain, familiar Mohawk Bosozoku members were confronting a pair of young male and female.

”I never stepped on your shoes, why should I compensate you?”

The girl among the pair said indignantly.

Familiar Mohawk laughed loudly, ”You say you didn’t step, so it’s true? Everyone saw you stepping! Did you all see it, youngsters!”

”Saw it!”

The Bosozoku laughed and responded.

The boy shouted angrily, ”You all just colluded to find trouble! Sister! Don’t talk to them, just call Miss Jun Sha over!”

”This is...”

Baimu heard the boy’s voice and froze, searching through his memory, after several seconds, he suddenly exclaimed, ”Ah~ I wondered why it sounded so familiar!”

He promptly didn’t bother wiping the syrup from his shoulder anymore and quickly approached.

Elsewhere.

Seeing the boy pull out a phone to call the police, Mohawk quickly reached for his arm, trying to prevent him.

The girl immediately tried to intercept, urgently shouting:

”Xiaosheng!”

Huh?

Why does my voice sound a bit deep?

The girl’s mind went blank for a moment, then she noticed someone acted faster than her, grabbing Mohawk’s wrist, preventing him from advancing.

She looked up and found it was a tall male, who was looking at her brother with delight.

Soon after, she heard her brother cheerfully shout the same name, ”Brother Baimu!”

Baimu?

Xiaoyao heard the name and looked at the handsome face of the man, her mind flashed through many thoughts in an instant.
