Pokemon: My Trainer Simulator

Chapter 697: Chapter 475: Too Hardcore! (2)

To be on the safe side, he called over Porygon II, which was practicing angularization.

Alongside Blissey, it serves as a shield against Mega Mawile’s rampage.

Moreover, Porygon II is set to appear in the Mossdeep Gym Battle, after all, doubles battles provide greater room for Magic Space to shine, and for a base low-speed Pokémon like Mega Mawile, if it doesn’t want to always rely on explosive power, having a Magic Space is essential.

”Super Evolution!”

With a crackling sound, the splendid glow of evolution lit up.

Ten minutes later.

A slightly breathless Baimu found the altered-color Milotic by the creek.

It was sparring with Corsola to practice [Mirror Launch], unlike in the game where it’s a guaranteed hit reflection skill, if you don’t resist it well and don’t aim, it’s easy for the returned attribute energy attack to miss.

Therefore, it’s necessary to train accuracy.

On the other hand, using special moves to attack each other also helps these two Pokémon improve their Special Defense Ability, which is beneficial for level advancement.

Although the improvement is quite slow, isn’t it true that little by little, a lot becomes a lot?

”Let’s stop, and practice the routines for the Gorgeous Competition first.” Baimu gestured for a halt.

Under the sunlight.

The altered-color Milotic, dazzling by the creek, with golden scales and radiant light, looked incredibly dreamy. No wonder it can captivate so many spectators just by appearing.

”Milo?”

Milotic lowered its head; during the past month, its original eight-plus meters length had grown to nearly nine meters, and it had also increased in width, making it look enormous when getting close.

Poor Corsola, which was only the size of Baimu’s head, had to spar with it.

”You’re the star of the Mikoli Club, when excellent Coordinator Trainers gather from all over, we must plan ahead.” Baimu whispered.

Competing with Milotic in the Mikoli Club is akin to showing off one’s skills in front of an expert, and Mikoli’s judging standards are expected to be quite strict.

Given that, presenting a performance that satisfies both oneself and the opponent is extremely important.

He didn’t want to be eliminated in the first review.

How vital it is to compete alongside Hoenn Dancer Xiaoyao, not to mention Xiaoguang and the others.

”Milo~”

Hearing that it’s the star of the Mikoli Club, Milotic immediately became somewhat excited, its fan-like tail fin gently swaying, the water column stained on it shimmering beautifully.

Not far away, Corsola looked on silently, very grateful that it lacked performance capabilities.

Otherwise, it would have to practice both battling and performing.

How much time would be left for it to sleep?

Sigh, it doesn’t understand.

It couldn’t fathom why Milotic was so excited; is being watched by so many people fun?

But thinking about its increasingly compromised state, Corsola’s mouth drooped instantly, its body rolling over with four corners up as it drifted downstream with the creek.

It had just floated out two meters when Porygon II caught it back.

”Pory!”

You’re on the list for the Mossdeep Gym Battle as well!

The toy duck earnestly reminded Corsola, which for the latter, meant additional work -

Oh no, this wasn’t overtime.

Corsola calculated the last time it participated in a Gym Battle, and suddenly couldn’t keep up with it, as its sleep cycles were long and its sense of time was virtually nonexistent.

Indeed, it had been a long time since it participated in a battle.

It hurts, it really hurts.

Corsola truly wished it could become one of those undersea coral reefs.

It looked back at Milotic, who had already begun practicing its brilliant performance, feeling even more despair in its heart.

However, considering it could eat donuts again in the evening, Corsola’s despair was suddenly reduced quite a bit, thinking if it had a few more, perhaps it would reduce even further.

”Pory!”

Porygon II’s urging call shattered its brief dream.

Corsola followed along listlessly.

In the entire team, the one it feared the most wasn’t the mischievous Hydreigon, nor the overly proud Mawile, nor the always presumptuous Blissey.

But Porygon II.

——It’s too darn industrious! This guy never ”sleeps”! Sometimes it wakes up in the middle of the night and finds the Trainer’s phone lit up, and checks that Porygon II is tinkering with something.

Anyhow, it’s not sleeping!

The lazy bumpkin facing an industrious bumpkin, it’s like facing a great enemy!

Corsola once worried that the Trainer would have them learn from Porygon II, yet fortunately, it understood that Pokémon have limits, and strictly regulated training time.

But even so, it still feared Porygon II greatly, seeing this guy tirelessly working day and night made its head...no, its soul shiver.

——

What Baimu didn’t expect was.

While guiding Milotic’s gorgeous performance, there came an unexpected discovery ——

[Coiling].

This move, which he consciously had Milotic learn by curling up its body, successfully manifested without much waiting.

”Quite good.”

Baimu couldn’t be more satisfied, and now only needs one more [Self-Rebirth] for Milotic to become a complete form like Mawile.

That is, it only needs to focus on honing existing moves, without needing to expend energy on new moves.

Moves like Water Cannon and Rain Seeking, it’s good to have them, but there’s no big problem without them.

Carefully sharpening [Scald], its effectiveness in battles might not be weaker than Water Cannon.

He cut his losses and didn’t let Milotic continue training, ”Take a rest, go rest in the water for a while, and I’ll give you a massage later.”

Pokémon massages help enhance Pokémon’s recovery after training and battling, Baimu’s self-learned techniques aren’t very good, but they’re better than nothing.

”Milo~” Milotic obediently submerged itself in the creek, only revealing half its head.

It looks adorably cute.

Looking at it, Baimu suddenly felt grateful that this creature didn’t have the Charm Trait, otherwise humans might be turned by it...

That’s not out of the question, according to Sinnoh’s ancient texts, cases of humans marrying Pokémon in ancient times were not uncommon, and were never limited to humanoids.

Quite a play!

He silently praised, after all, simply bragging online about ”my wife Gardevoir” is nothing heroic; dare to marry them, that takes true courage!

After finishing the beautiful performance.

Baimu decided to look at the robust, handsome beasts.

”Come out, Steelix!”

”Roar~”

The looming Steelix, almost reaching nineteen meters, appeared, its imposing silvery body reflecting Baimu’s silhouette, visibly tough at just a glance.

It indeed was.

Ever since obtaining Xiaogang’s exclusive Pokémon food formula for Steelix and regularly consuming it for a period, this guy’s dual defense reached a level, becoming more durable, almost comparable to Aggron.

Unfortunately, its Super Stone hasn’t lit up or heated up yet, signifying its bond with someone isn’t complete.

Very normal.

Due to its exaggerated size, Baimu had no choice but to shuttle Steelix back between Ore and Hoenn Regions, sharing meals and sleep was not impossible but rare.

Therefore, it’s inevitable to spend more time developing the intimacy between the two.

”How have you been recently?”

He didn’t rush Steelix into training, instead chatted with it for a bit, even though they had only recently met; asking about recent happenings is still important.

Picking up kids from kindergarten involves asking what they learned today and how they got along with classmates.

Breeding Pokémon is similar.

At least Baimu thought so and preferred the ”parental” style of cultivating, though it somewhat confuses the concept of companion and partner, yet as of now, the Pokémon haven’t disliked this big parent.

Otherwise, how to explain the subtle relationship between Pokémon and Trainers, the kind of relationship to establish depends on the Trainer’s approach to cultivation.

For example, Ash Ketchum’s energetic partners style, Shinji’s cold coach style, Xiaogang and James’ gentle parent style... Musashi’s absolute forceful big sister style etc.

Breeders usually have some gentle parent style.

After all, it starts with nurturing from childhood and weakness.

”Roar~”

Steelix eagerly communicated the many changes in Aggron’s territory and Pyrite Town, also mentioning something that greatly surprised Baimu.

”Shanren wants to build a subway?”

”Roar~”

Steelix didn’t understand the meaning of the word ”subway,” it simply reiterated the appearance of that transportation device and expressed that it will lead a group of Onix to excavate an underground tunnel to Silicon City.
