Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 772: Chapter 590: Humanity Longing for Sunshine_2

Li Yu nodded and then left from this side of the mountain cave.

Wearing a water hat and raincoat, Li Yu stepped on the black snow and slowly walked towards the gymnasium in the Inner City.

These recent days, it had continuously been dark outside and snowing, so many people from the base had flocked to this largest indoor public space for exercise.

The gymnasium had two basketball courts and seven or eight table tennis tables.

Plus an 800-meter circular plastic track.

When Li Yu arrived here, he saw dozens of people inside.

Li Tie and Li Gang, Dapao and Yang Tianlong, along with some teammates of Lao Lv were playing basketball.

Yutong and Song Min were playing badminton on another basketball court.

Li Yu took off his raincoat and hat, shook them off, and placed them on the rack at the entrance.

Then he went over to Yutong, chatted with her for a moment, and seeing that it was her turn to play again, he motioned for Yutong to continue.

Bored and looking at the little ones running on the track, Li Yu felt somewhat sentimental. In his past life, after the acid rain and snow outbreak, he hadn’t been this relaxed.

Watching them run, Li Yu was lost in memories.

At that moment, the Uncle playing basketball also noticed Li Yu coming over and approached him, panting, and said:

”Take over for me, I’m old now, can’t match the physical strength of you young people. You go take my place.”

He then said the same to Li Tie and the others.

The teams were divided into two:

Li Tie and Yang Tianlong, and three former policemen of Lao Lv.

On the other side, it was Li Gang, Dapao, Uncle, Uncle’s son Liu Jinglue, and one Wang Cheng.

At this moment, Li Yu took over for Uncle.

Li Tie had a somewhat reluctant look on his face. Li Yu had often come to play basketball with them when he was free in the past, later discovering that Li Yu’s basketball skills were too good, fiercely impressive.

Not only did Li Yu have great jumping ability, but his body’s flexibility and precision were also extremely formidable.

The team that Li Yu was on often ended up winning.

When Li Gang heard that Uncle wanted Li Yu to take over for him, he said excitedly to Li Yu: ”Big brother, come, blow them away. Hahaha.”

Then he looked provocatively at Li Tie and said loudly: ”Just you wait.”

Li Tie, not willing to admit defeat, said: ”Look at the score now, 13 to 6. Who’s blowing away whom?”

Li Gang flicked his head and tossed the basketball to Dapao, saying, ”Brother Pao, serve.”

On Li Tie’s side, there was the nearly two-meter-tall Yang Tianlong and the few policemen with good physical fitness.

On Li Gang’s side, it was mostly Dapao who was strong, and since Uncle and Wang Cheng were older and not so skilled, they had been suppressed in the game so far.

Now with Li Yu joining in, they could naturally turn the game around.

Dapao took the ball tossed by Li Gang, and checking the layout on the court, Li Tie stood next to Li Yu blocking him from receiving the ball.

On the other side, the tall and sturdy Yang Tianlong blocked Li Gang.

The only one who could receive the ball was Wang Cheng.

Dapao gave Wang Cheng a look and quickly threw the ball to him, Wang Cheng caught the ball and without hesitation, threw it to Dapao who had just come inside from the sidelines.

Dapao caught the ball, advanced a few steps forward, and was immediately blocked by two people. At this moment, seeing that it was hard to advance, Dapao passed the ball back to Li Yu.

Li Yu, outside the three-point line, caught the ball, and Li Tie immediately came to block.

Li Yu made a backward movement; the basketball traced a beautiful arc, slowly falling down.

Swish—

The basketball didn’t even touch the hoop, it directly slid through the net.

Nothing but net, three points.

”...”

Li Tie watched the basketball fly past, speechless inside.

...

After the three-pointer, Li Yu made a serpentine move, went for a layup, and a powerful dunk.

After losing several points in a row, Li Tie felt the experience was very bad, like being tortured without any sense of fun in the game.

”Big brother, you’re making this really unpleasant for us.” Li Tie lamented.

On the other side, Dapao and his teammates were extremely thrilled, having been on the receiving end of the torture just now.

”So are you blaming me?”

...

Basketball is a team sport, but there can also be some surprises, if a single player’s quality is very high, and there’s coordination, it would present an overwhelming situation.

In the gym, everyone was sweating, exercising their bodies.

Activity is addictive, getting used to exercise can cause changes in both a person’s body and mind.

...

Less than 150 kilometers from Xin City.

In the darkness, the Zombie Tide, tirelessly, was slowly moving southward.

Occasionally on the road, any Survivors they encountered would be directly devoured by the Zombie Tide.

The only trace left behind might be the bones.

In this extreme weather, many birds were also affected. The cold and dangers in the dark forced them to continuously seek, seek a safe place to build their nests.

Time slowly passed.

In the blink of an eye, it was September 8.

The White Dew.

According to the traditional solar terms, during the White Dew, the late summer heat would pass, temperatures would begin to drop, and the weather would gradually cool. Many dewdrops would be found on the ground and on leaves in the early morning, hence the name White Dew.

But the temperature in recent days had already been below zero.

This day, the temperature dropped again, down to negative twelve degrees.

The temperature in the negative teens, still didn’t affect the zombies much.

In fact, those zombies outside the base were covered in a thick layer of black snow. If one didn’t look closely, it might be very hard to discern these zombies.
