Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 755: Chapter 583: I Do Things My Way, No Explanation Needed! (Three in One, 6300-word Mega Chapter)_3

”Just how is such a selfless person as you able to come up with a system of Extra Staff and Cooperative Personnel?”

Li Yu quietly watched him speak.

Seeing that Li Yu was listening to him, Bai Tao thought his flattery had worked. According to his life experience, to get something done, one often needs to praise that person, putting them on a pedestal which compels them to act out of face-saving.

For instance, when borrowing money from someone, one should publicly praise them for being loyal and willing to help friends in trouble; a true brother indeed.

Then, when unwilling to repay the debt, one could praise their generosity and how they do not hold grudges.

In this way, even if it pains the person inside, there’s a great chance they’ll follow his lead given the face-saving aspect.

Tried and true.

Bai Tao didn’t know much about Li Yu, but having encountered him a few times and seeing he was just a young man in his twenties, he somewhat looked down on him.

Thus, he straightened his back and began to speak as someone who had been around:

”Director Li, I believe, a person like you would never establish such an unreasonable system. Such a system creates complaints everywhere. There must be villains around you.”

Then he lifted his chin, seemingly giving earnest advice:

”I am a few years older than you, and I was once the sales director of a Fortune 500 company, managing a sales team of hundreds. I have some modest insights into management. The most important thing in management is to have your subordinates’ complete loyalty and shared fortunes and hardships, uniting everyone to generate strong execution power.

With over a thousand people here, as long as you can grant them benefits, everyone would be willing to work with you. Imagine, there are so many of us.

.......”

He rambled on and on, but his central theme was about sharing power and profits so that everyone, having tasted sweetness, would willingly follow him and bring more substantial strength to improve the base.

After Bai Tao finished, Li Yu observed the reactions of others, capturing every expression in his gaze.

Since his rebirth, his sense of danger had escalated terrifyingly, his physical attributes greatly enhanced, and his memory was almost photographic.

”Heh, well then, tell me: how would you share the benefits and convince everyone?” Li Yu asked with a light smile.

Upon hearing this, Bai Tao seemed pleasantly surprised.

His original intention was only to create a rift between the Extra Staff and Cooperative Personnel and then elevate their treatment to match that of Extra Staff within the Residential Building.

Usually, such matters, as long as they didn’t touch upon the upper echelons’ interests, likely wouldn’t concern Li Yu too much.

And now, seeing Li Yu patiently listening, it seemed as if he had some interest in what he had just proposed.

His inner greed swelled.

When one becomes greedy, sometimes their intelligence drops.

At this moment, Bai Tao forgot an old saying he had always held true: moderation is key.

Triumphantly, he said, ”Since fairness is required, it must be absolute fairness. The ancient general Wu Qi shared meals and living quarters with his soldiers, which deeply moved them and inspired them to fight valiantly.

I think you could open up all areas of the Big Camphor Tree Base so everyone wouldn’t have to cram together.

Moreover, regarding our food supply, although still limited from previous stocks, it should be distributed evenly.

Yes, and the guns, if everyone had one, who would still fear zombies?

Just accomplish these few points, and you will have a loyal force grateful towards you. Then, you will be the leader guiding us to recreate glory!”

At the end of his talk, his cheeks flushed.

The passionate speech excited him, and he couldn’t help but impress himself.

The accomplices behind him chimed in:

”Well said! Brother Bai’s suggestion is brilliant.”

”As long as it’s distributed fairly, with everyone working together, we are sure to reach splendor!”

”Abolish the Rank System!”

”Abolish the Rank System!”

”Enter Inner City, distribute food!”

.....

The bystanders, some moved by emotion, raised their hands in agreement: ”Enter Inner City, distribute food, abolish the Rank System!”

Thump thump thump—

Footsteps approached, Li Tie looked curiously inside, holding a laptop connected to a hard drive.

Walking up to Li Yu, he said, ”Big brother, brought it here.”

”Uh-huh.” Li Yu glanced at the laptop screen surveillance, witnessing a scene.

Bu Gu was dragged into Bai Tao’s room.

Instantly, he snapped the laptop shut.

”What?” Uncle looked puzzled at Li Yu.

He originally thought Li Yu would use this surveillance video to expose Bai Tao’s facade, and then this whole charade would end.

According to his understanding of Li Yu, he knew Li Yu wouldn’t buy into these people’s words.

They spoke nicely, but would real distribution truly unleash stronger capabilities?

Impossible.

This kind of fairness would only breed laziness.

Diligent people work harder, adventurers risk their lives fighting zombies, and surely some would slack off, hiding behind others, sharing the spoils of victory.

Especially in this apocalyptic world.

Without moral constraints, some cunning persons, armed with guns, might shoot you from behind, all too likely.
