Apocalyptic Reincarnation: Start with a 30-million Bonus

Chapter 600: Chapter 518: A Person in Zombie’s Skin?

North of the provincial capital, at the head of Xunyang River.

”Big Brother Dongfeng, why did you agree to Ma Jun that after we harvest the crops, we give half of them to them?”

A burly man with a stubbled chin sighed helplessly as he looked at the rice seedlings that had regrown in the paddy field, saying:

”Is there any other way? Is there a better way? It wasn’t easy to find a place like this, and it took so much time to build it up. Should we just abandon it? I also do not want to hand it over to them, but... we can’t defeat them.”

His tone was filled with helplessness.

They were facing a dilemma; if they did not hand over the food, they would definitely be attacked by Ma Jun and his gang. The enemy had guns, and they were truly desperate outlaws.

These people could only fight for their lives against them.

He had so many people following him, he couldn’t bear to let them die in vain.

Helplessness.

...

Provincial capital city.

After eliminating Brother Dao and his gang, Li Yu led the group to continue towards the First People’s Hospital.

The delay cost them nearly two hours.

It was three forty in the afternoon.

Arriving at the gates of the First People’s Hospital, one could see that even though it was separated by a railing, there were still zombies inside the hospital.

It’s strange to say that some patients who were paralyzed before the apocalypse could somehow move freely after the outbreak.

Looking at the sharp iron spikes on the railings, they shimmered in the sun.

Li Yu said, ”If there’s no better shelter, it’s okay to rest here tonight.”

Old Luo also agreed, ”Putting aside everything else, the big iron gate is indeed very tightly closed. But there should be a lot of zombies inside.”

Li Yu looked at the deserted street and said, ”Don’t be deceived by the empty street now. Come nightfall, you’ll find this street will be packed with zombies.”

Old Luo shivered at the thought of that scene.

”Let’s go, get to work,” Li Yu said.

He then stepped forward, took a few steps back, and then climbed over the iron gate.

Upon entering, the few zombies behind saw Li Yu and excitedly surrounded him.

They hadn’t seen humans for a long time, and they had been hungry for a long time.

Li Yu looked back, estimated the distance, and without paying any more attention, turned around and unlocked the big iron gate.

They could have just rammed through with the Unimog, but since there was a plan to station here for the night, there was no need to smash the gate.

He unlocked the lock.

Then, he pulled out the small iron rod that was inserted at the bottom.

Clang, clang, clang—

One by one, he pulled aside the three horizontal iron rods.

Crash—

Li Yu pushed open one of the big doors, and from the corner of his eye, he saw the two zombies behind slowly approaching.

He drew the handgun from his waist and fired two shots.

Bang, bang—

After two gunshots, the zombies fell to the ground.

Li Yu didn’t even look back; he twirled the gun and pocketed it in one smooth motion.

Luo, who came to open another door, caught a glimpse of this scene and was surprised.

Director Li’s spear skills were quite good.

After both doors were opened, Li Tie and the others drove the car inside.

Click click click—

After they entered, Dapao and the others closed the two big iron doors.

The noise they made in a short while had stirred up the zombies in the outpatient building.

Some even rushed out; and clearly, due to the sunlight, it made these zombies somewhat uncomfortable.

But they were too hungry; they had not eaten fresh humans in a long time.

Ignoring the scorching sun, they charged straight towards Li Yu and his group.

Roar, roar, roar—

Directly in front is the outpatient building; to the right rear is the internal medicine building, and to the left rear is the internal medicine building.

”Brothers, get ready to open fire,” Li Yu said as he saw the few hundred zombies rushing over. There was not a hint of fear, but rather some excitement.

This thrilling feeling, the feeling of slaughter, unleashed the beast within his heart.

Yang Tianlong held a light machine gun and swept across the front outpatient building.

Da-da-da—

The others were not to be outdone, as they each raised their guns and continuously attacked the zombies from all three directions.

This time, since they knew the risks of coming to the city center, they brought plenty of ammunition.

Each person was equipped with two thousand bullets, totaling about sixty to seventy thousand bullets altogether.

Of course, they couldn’t carry all of them on their person at once; most of the bullets were stored in the vehicle.

Boom—

Li Yu tossed a hand grenade into the densest crowd of zombies.

The blast sent zombies flying in all directions.

The sound reverberated, echoing in the silent city.

The gunfire attracted more zombies nearby.

The previously empty streets now saw a few dozen zombies sporadically appearing.

Heading towards the hospital.

The group didn’t care; the gates were already locked, and as long as the number of zombies didn’t reach a terrifying amount, the big iron doors shouldn’t be much of a problem.

Moreover, it wasn’t raining now, and even if there would be a Zombie Tide, the zombies’ sensitivity wasn’t that great; it was unlikely they would pile up.

It was broad daylight, with the sun high in the sky, which made it the weakest time of day for zombies.

They were taking this opportunity to quickly eliminate the zombies inside the hospital.
