Chapter 560: Chapter 502: Third Uncle Makes an Entrance, My Idol

Li Yu hugged Li Suxin and left Old Qin and the others behind, arriving at He Bing’s group. There were five or six female university students there. Seeing the adorable-looking Li Suxin, they gathered around her.

Li Suxin was also quite clever, looking at all these beautiful young ladies, she exclaimed, ”Wow, these sisters are so pretty.”

Next to He Bing was a round-faced girl with a ponytail, who chuckled and pinched Li Suxin’s chubby cheek, wanting to kiss her.

Li Yu then set Li Suxin down and let the young girl hold her. He knew this girl, who had always been around He Bing, with a cheerful personality and a special fondness for laughter.

Seeing the girl playing with Suxin, Li Yu turned to He Bing and said, ”He Bing.”

”Brother Yu, I’m here.”

He Bing called out Li Yu with a bit of a fawning tone. Before, he always addressed Li Yu as Director Li, but now, after joining the Big Camphor Tree Base, he rightfully started calling him Brother Yu.

Li Yu glanced at Suxin laughing happily and said to He Bing:

”I’ve seen the vehicles you modified before, and I think they’re pretty good. Now I’m giving you a challenge question: the base is expanding and strengthening, do you have any better strategies? If so, feel free to talk to me about it anytime.”

He Bing pondered for a moment and replied:

”The current construction of the base is quite good. We have set up corresponding defensive traps outside the walls, with high and thick barriers. If we must upgrade further, I think we need to improve the efficiency of killing zombies.”

Li Yu heard this, tasted the meaning of He Bing’s words, and felt there might be some interest. So he asked, ”Give me more details.”

He Bing looked up at Li Yu and said:

”I heard that on our trip to the prison in the north to eliminate enemies, we then encountered a large number of zombies, over two hundred thousand. If it weren’t for Captain Hongqian leading everyone to the Water Tower, we might not have been able to make it back.

So what I’m thinking is, apart from increasing the height of our base, I think we can set up some horizontally moving Choppers based on what we currently have.

That way, even if there’s a Zombie Tide stacking up, we can activate the moving Chopper and directly slice the zombies at the waist.

However, this method requires enough steel, and also smelting. I’m not very skilled, but I can forge these Choppers more than one meter long.

In addition, the Chopper needs to work with electricity to become a mobile weapon that can quickly move sideways. Once activated, it might consume a significant amount of electricity.”

Li Yu listened carefully to what He Bing had just said and already had some images in his mind. He had to admit the idea was indeed very bold.

It was like installing some horizontally moving Choppers in the middle part of the wall. Once there are too many zombies, rushing over and stacking up, the activated Chopper can directly and brutally kill these zombies.

The idea is indeed good, but implementing it would be quite troublesome.

Another question is, with the perimeter of the wall being several kilometers, how many Choppers would be appropriate?

So Li Yu said, ”Your method is good, have you thought about how many Choppers we would need to achieve good results?”

He Bing meditated for a moment and said, ”The sharpness of the Chopper is one factor, but to harness the power of the Chopper, there’s another factor to consider – speed. I think the Chopper’s speed can’t be less than three meters per second.

If it’s double-sided, then the interval between each pass should not exceed 10 seconds. That means we need a Chopper every thirty meters. We probably need about 100 Choppers.”

Li Yu frowned and said:

”We could also consider a rotating up and down method. Your way is also viable, but if a Chopper encounters an issue, then that segment will come to a halt.

However, your idea of setting up Choppers in the middle of the wall is pretty good. You can keep thinking about it, and when we start building, you can make suggestions. If there are no issues, then we can implement it.”

Hearing that Li Yu appreciated his idea, He Bing nodded excitedly.

At this moment, Li Yu looked back at Suxin, whose little face was almost being kissed swollen by the female university students. Therefore, he said to He Bing, ”Alright, lead them well, you won’t be treated unfairly, I’ll be going now.”

He finished speaking and went over to rescue Suxin, who was almost suffocating from the crowd of young ladies.

”Alright,” He Bing watched Li Yu’s back as he left, excitedly.

...

Li Yu approached Suxin, took her small hand, and said to the surrounding girls, ”Alright, I’ll bring her to play again next time, say goodbye to the sisters.”

Suxin, looking disconsolate, waved to the ladies and said, ”Goodbye.”

Li Yu chuckled and then handed over Suxin to Yutong who was coming over.

Seeing Yutong approach, Li Suxin immediately ran over, tugging at Yutong’s hem and said, ”Sister Yutong, take me away. I want to go back to my room.”

Li Yu smiled at this, then said to Yutong, ”Take her away to play for a bit. She’s just been a social butterfly, hahaha.”

Yutong rolled her eyes, took little Suxin’s hand, and then said to her, ”Let’s go.”

Little Suxin obediently nodded and followed her away.

After watching them leave, Li Yu turned and walked towards Old Luo and the others.

It was necessary for Li Yu to talk to each of the new members.

To ease their minds and also his own.
