Pokemon: Reborn As Ash, I'll Conquer Every League

Chapter 132: Chapter 132: Conquering Snorlax

Chapter 132: Conquering Snorlax

Hearing Ash’s words, the girl breathed a sigh of relief: ”So you’re tourists! I thought you were pomelo thieves.”

”I’m so sorry, I almost misunderstood you. Because the island is full of pomelos, every year when the pomelos ripen, thieves often come to the island to steal them. I just saw that you didn’t land from the pier, so... I’m really sorry!”

”Actually, we were also in the wrong, we shouldn’t have trespassed. But can we buy some of these pomelos?” Ash said with a slight smile.

”Yes, you can just call me Ruby.”

Many people came to the island to buy pomelos every year, and Ruby was already used to it.

”Miss Ruby, the pomelos grown on your island are so big! They’re even bigger than the ones we saw at the Kumquat Island market a few days ago. How do you grow them so big?” Serena asked curiously.

”It’s really hard work to make these trees bear such large fruit. During the cold season, we have to wrap the pomelo trees in straw, and we also have to regularly remove pests. When the fruit trees bloom, we have to borrow Butterfree from nearby islands to pollinate them. Every Berry on these trees is the result of long-term hard work, which is why I particularly dislike pomelo thieves,” Ruby explained.

”So that’s how it is.”

Ash and the others suddenly understood.

”Miss Ruby, it’s bad, the pomelo thieves are here!” At this moment, a man in a light blue work uniform ran over.

”Got it, I’ll be right there!” Ruby got up and ran out.

Seeing this, Ash also got up and said to the three of them, ”Let’s go take a look too.”

By the time Ash and the others arrived, many fruit tree branches had been broken.

”Miss Ruby, the thief is here!” A staff member pointed to a mountain of flesh.

”Is that... Snorlax?”

The few of them looked closely and saw a Snorlax happily eating a pomelo buffet.

Pokémon: Snorlax

Attribute: Normal

Gender: Male

Level: Gym Beginner

Ability: Thick Fat

Aptitude: Quasi-Champion

Skills: Tackle, Body Slam, Stockpile, Lick, Rest, Sleep Talk, Crunch, Heavy Slam, High Horsepower, Arm Thrust, Ultimate Impact, Belch...

This Snorlax was not picky either; when picking pomelo Berries, it would even break off the branches and put them in its mouth.

”Stop it!” Ruby shouted at several male staff members.

Those few were also stubborn, not releasing their Pokémon, but instead planning to stop it empty-handed, and were ultimately pushed down by Snorlax in an instant.

Tracy took a look with his observation tools, ”A normal Snorlax can eat four hundred kilograms of food a day. This Snorlax is a bit larger than normal, so it probably eats even more. If this continues, all the pomelos on the entire island will be eaten.”

Misty watched as several adult male staff members were easily defeated, ”Not only does it eat a lot, but its strength is also incredibly high.”

”Ash, please help Miss Ruby and them!” Serena looked at Ash beside her.

”Okay.”

Ash nodded.

Then he pulled a box of capsules from his pocket. Before coming to the Orange Islands, he had already prepared to catch Snorlax. To deal with a gluttonous fatty, you have to cater to its preferences and let it eat its fill, and then entice it to obey with food.

He picked one of the capsules, pressed the switch, and threw it next to Snorlax.

Boom!

The capsule burst open, and a full box of top-grade Normal-type energy cubes appeared before everyone.

This box of energy cubes was a special product handmade by Ash, much better in quality than those on the market. Let alone Snorlax, this foodie, even Mew, that wanderer, was so captivated by the energy cubes made by Ash himself that it didn’t want to leave.

Smelling the scent of the energy cubes, Snorlax suddenly felt that the pomelo Berry it was holding was no longer appealing.

Seeing Snorlax react, Ash said to Gardevoir, ”Gardevoir, use Telekinesis. Don’t let it succeed too easily.”

Gardevoir nodded understandingly, and then the box of energy cubes floated up.

Seeing this, Snorlax stood up and stretched its body, squatted into a horse stance, and tried to snatch the energy cubes in one jump.

However, Gardevoir did not give it a chance. With a movement of Telekinesis, the energy cubes quickly lifted upwards, just out of Snorlax’s reach.

Bang!

The moment Snorlax landed, it was as if an Earthquake had occurred. The ground shook and trembled, and Ash and the others were almost knocked down by the immense force.

The delicious food was right in front of it, but it just couldn’t reach it, making Snorlax stomp its feet in frustration.

Seeing this, Ash walked up and negotiated, ”Snorlax, you want to eat what’s up there, right? I can give it to you, but you have to become my Pokémon, how about it?”

”Really?”

Snorlax looked at Ash in Telekinesis.

”Of course, as long as you become my Pokémon, I guarantee you can eat those things every day.”

Hearing this, Snorlax stared at Ash for a moment, then looked up at the energy cubes suspended in the sky, hesitated for a bit, and then chose to nod.

”Very good, go Poké Ball!”

Ash threw a Heavy Ball at Snorlax.

Snorlax indeed did not resist, and the Poké Ball shook twice before emitting the successful capture sound.

But before Ash could pick up the Poké Ball, Snorlax popped out on its own, its small eyes still fixed on the energy cubes in the sky.

”Gardevoir, that’s enough, put the things down now.” Ash said to Gardevoir.

The box of energy cubes landed, and Snorlax didn’t wait for Ash to speak. It flipped open the lid with one paw, grabbed two pieces, and threw them into its mouth.

With two smacks, Snorlax swallowed the energy cubes, and a satisfied smile appeared on its round little face.

Seeing Snorlax still wanting to eat, Ash quickly stepped forward to stop it, ”Alright, two pieces are already very filling. If you eat any more, you’ll burst.”

Normally, one energy cube can basically provide a day’s energy for an adult Pokémon, and the top-grade energy cubes made by Ash are even better than normal ones. Two pieces are Snorlax’s limit; even if it doesn’t burst, it will feel bloated.

Snorlax rubbed its big belly, feeling as if Ash’s words made a lot of sense, and then demonstrated the sleeping attitude of a young Pokémon, falling asleep immediately.

”Ash, thank you very much for helping us solve the Snorlax crisis.” Ruby walked over and thanked Ash.

Ash waved his hand and said, ”It’s nothing, just a small favor.”

”By the way, why would a wild Snorlax come to this island?” Misty asked curiously.

The Fruit Seven Islands are clearly quite far from other islands, and Snorlax can’t fly.

”Snorlax must have mastered a special skill different from other Snorlax, which is why it came to this island,” Ash explained.

He knew Snorlax could do the butterfly stroke, but Snorlax didn’t even get a chance to show it before he caught it. If he said it, perhaps no one would believe him except Serena.

”Never mind that. Miss Ruby, although Snorlax broke quite a few Berries, it also made amends, look.”

Ash pointed to the scattered pomelo seeds under the fruit trees destroyed by Snorlax, which already showed signs of sprouting.

After seeing it, Ruby exclaimed, ”What tenacious vitality! Maybe next year it will bear even bigger pomelos!”

”This Snorlax is truly unique! It can cross the ocean to come to this island, and it also has a special power to cultivate plant growth. It’s incredible!” Serena exclaimed.
