Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Halfway up Mount Olympus, the news reporters from before remained where they were. Lu Yuan had instructed them to stay, and none dared to leave. What if they became his targets?

In these reporters’ eyes, Lu Yuan was a terrifying demon god who couldn’t be provoked.

The live broadcast continued, but no one knew what had happened before the castle up above. The audience watched intently, curious about the fate of the Holy Knight and the Celestial Archangel.

However, they knew one thing for sure. Those two were royally screwed.

The Huaxians were particularly convinced of that, as they had confidence in Lu Yuan’s strength, particularly after he survived a literal nuke.

Given his domineering nature, neither the Holy Knight nor the Celestial Archangel would meet a pleasant end.

After some time, Lu Yuan finally descended.

The reporters immediately retreated upon seeing him. When they saw the Golden-Winged Great Peng, their faces turned even paler. They knew it was a mutated beast and feared it could suddenly attack them.

”Hey, hey, hey! King Lu is here!”

”Why is he alone? Where are those two?”

”Definitely dead. They set a trap and even used a nuke. They definitely deserved to die.”

The Huaxians erupted in excitement upon seeing Lu Yuan. Some speculated that both the Holy Knight and the Celestial Archangel were dead. After all, King Lu was exceptionally fierce and was not afraid of anyone. Those two had been actively provoking him, so their deaths weren’t exactly surprising.

Elder Ji and Elder Yun breathed sighs of relief upon seeing Lu Yuan. Now, they knew that even a nuke couldn’t kill Lu Yuan, but they were still worried upon seeing him charge up Mount Olympus.

However, it seemed their worry was meaningless, as everything was finally over, and Lu Yuan remained unscathed.

Just then, Lu Yuan faced the cameras with a calm face.

”Feeling overwhelmed by the weight of their horrific sins, the Holy Knight and the Celestial Archangel confessed to their gods and took their own lives. Anyway, I formally announce the founding of the Alliance of Humankind.”

”I hope the major forces around the world will join the Alliance within the month. For the specifics, you may talk to the government officials of Huaxia,” Lu Yuan said. Then, he hopped onto the Golden-Winged Great Peng’s back.

Without further ado, both man and peng transformed into a golden streak of light that vanished into the horizon.

Lu Yuan’s words instantly spread throughout the world, thanks to the live broadcast. The Alliance of Humankind was finally established, and all major forces around the world had to join it. Though he hadn’t talked about what would happen to those daring enough to oppose him, the Holy Knight and Celestial Archangel clearly served as great examples.

He claimed they felt overwhelmed by their horrific sins and had taken their own lives, but everyone knew the real story.

Hence, Lu Yuan’s meaning was crystal clear—regardless of what those major forces felt, the Alliance of Humankind couldn’t be stopped.

With that, the live broadcast ended, and every nation understood perfectly what they needed to do next. Oppose him? Were they strong enough to do that?

Elder Ji and Elder Yun exchanged glances. The scene was similar to what they had witnessed on Jade Emperor Peak, specifically when Lu Yuan had faced those mutated beast kings.

They knew very well that they would be extremely busy from here on out.

After what Lu Yuan had shown the world, who would still dare to resist him?

As for the Huaxians, they erupted into cheers. King Lu had displayed a miracle, a true miracle by surviving a nuke unscathed and storming the summit of Mount Olympus to deal with both the Holy Knight and the Celestial Archangel. Indeed. They believed those two were deader than dead.

A lone man had just suppressed the world by his sheer power alone! He was indeed the King of Humanity! He was the strongest human alive!

Lu Yuan’s prestige reached unprecedented heights.

Meanwhile, the nations around the world sprang into action, issuing announcements and contacting both Elder Ji and Elder Yun.

Even if they weren’t exactly willing to submit, what could they do?

The Holy Knight and the Celestial Archangel were dead; even a nuke was useless against Lu Yuan. How could they even resist him?

The world changed overnight; everything was turned upside down.

Elder Ji and Elder Yun became extremely busy. Though they knew it would happen, they hadn’t expected it to happen so quickly.

The people believed Lu Yuan was part of Huaxia’s top echelons, so they could only accept their fate. If they were to oppose him, what would happen to them?

One just had to think about Longevity Genetics and Skygod Technologies to know the answer to that question.

In the end, this was all about making the smartest choice. In fact, the Wuzhou Group did just that by becoming even more low-profile than before. Its important figures barely showed their faces to the public these days.

Several days later, Lu Yuan was still sitting on the Golden-Winged Great Peng’s back. Instead of meditating, he pulled out his communicator to browse the Internet for the latest news.

It turned out that his words a few days ago were extremely effective.

The nations across the world moved quickly, making contact and issuing announcements on that same day.

The founding of the Alliance of Humankind was going smoothly and at full speed.

”Since I’m done with those two. It’s time to move on.” Lu Yuan noticed that he was approaching Huaxia. There were indeed some places he could visit next, though deciding where to start gave him some difficulty. In his memories, he knew of a few mystical places he could visit, but now wasn’t the time to visit them.

The world would undergo several great awakenings before artifacts and objects straight out of myths would appear. Famed mountains like Mount Tai would become even more mysterious later on, which meant going to those places now wouldn’t be that profitable.

In addition, some of the spiritual fruits and exotic herbs in his Meridian Heavenmend Furnace had yet to fully mature, and they couldn’t be preserved for long. He needed to plant them somewhere, and it had to be a safe place.

”This is giving me a headache.” Lu Yuan rubbed his glabella, his mind racing rapidly.

Ring!

Just then, his communicator rang. It was Elder Ji. Without hesitation, he answered directly.

”I finally got to you, King Lu!” Elder Ji sounded anxious for some reason.

”Did something happen? Is it about the Alliance?” Lu Yuan asked, slightly puzzled. He wondered if someone was daring enough to oppose the Alliance’s founding.

”No, everything on that front is going smoothly,” Elder Ji replied without wasting words. Then, he added, ”A few days ago, two people suddenly appeared at the Trials Academy—a young woman and an elderly man. The young woman was strange, especially her clothes, but she seemed really strong.”

As an Unfettered Realm expert, Elder Ji knew that their strength exceeded his imagination. Afterward, he used his authority to investigate their backgrounds but found nothing at all, which made him feel even more alarmed, as it meant they belonged to no faction and had no traceable origins.

”Is that so? What else?” Lu Yuan’s eyes narrowed slightly, as if he had already guessed who they were.

”I told them you weren’t here,” Elder Ji replied, ”the young woman left a message for you, and I’m going to say it verbatim. She said, ’Small cauldron, Shennong’s Altar.’ Then, the two of them decided to leave.

”However, the young woman said she would return to the Trials Academy and that she hopes to meet you by then.”

Lu Yuan’s heart stirred. He had completely figured out the background of those two people.

”I understand,” he replied, ”I’m going straight to Mount Tai now.”

Elder Ji tactfully refrained from asking more questions. After a brief casual conversation, Lu Yuan ended the call and gazed toward the distant horizon.

What is inevitable has come, but I truly wonder what your goals are... Lu Yuan thought. The so-called ”small cauldron” needed no explanation; Chen Song had contacted him about it before. However, ”Shennong’s Altar” was different. Besides himself, only the Golden-Winged Great Peng was aware of it.

Despite that, two strangers appeared, and they were somehow aware of those two things. Lu Yuan deduced that they were likely from the Outer Cosmos, yet they actively sought him out.

Regardless of their goal, Lu Yuan had nothing to fear. When soldiers come, send generals to stop them; when water comes, use the earth to cover it. He was strong enough to deal with them, so he decided he’d cross the bridge once he was there.

In the end, Lu Yuan emptied his mind and instructed the Golden-Winged Great Peng to pick up the pace before closing his eyes to rest. It was great timing. He could plant the spiritual fruits and exotic herbs that he had obtained from Mount Olympus on Mount Tai.

He would entrust them to the officials, which would be enough for him not to feel worried about them. Besides, he couldn’t use them all, anyway.

Several days later, Lu Yuan finally arrived at the Mount Tai Trials Academy. Its construction was basically complete. Elder Ji wasn’t present, as he had left for Shuntian City to handle the founding of the Alliance of Humankind.

Elder Yun was around, along with Zhu Qingyu, the Ice Fairy, and Master Chunyang and the others.

Soon, they would climb Mount Tai to seek their own boon to further their evolution. Additionally, many people from the branches of the Aurora Academy were selected to ascend Mount Tai.

Everything proceeded methodically and smoothly.

When everyone saw Lu Yuan produce so many spiritual fruits and exotic herbs from Mount Olympus, they were stupefied; there were just too many of them.

What the Holy Knight had collected from so many nations now had a new owner.

Lu Yuan entrusted the immature exotic herbs to Elder Yun, asking him to plant and protect them. Afterward, Lu Yuan climbed Mount Tai again to chat with the Spirit Monkey. The Spirit Monkey had helped him resolve the issue of recurring beast tides, so they could be considered friendly to each other.

The Spirit Monkey welcomed Lu Yuan, but he felt helpless upon seeing the Golden-Winged Great Peng.

After learning it was Lu Yuan’s mount, the Spirit Monkey sulked. The Golden-Winged Great Peng’s bloodline was not inferior to his own. It felt like it had indirectly become Lu Yuan’s mount.

Of course, Lu Yuan offered no explanation. From the Spirit Monkey, he learned that Mount Tai and other famed mountains would soon transform. Even the mutated beast kings in the seas sensed something wrong with the world.

Finally, the Spirit Monkey offered a reminder, saying that the Great Era was nigh and told Lu Yuan to remain cautious.

Lu Yuan knew what it was trying to say. He left Jade Emperor Peak and settled temporarily at Mount Tai Trials Academy.

He gave the Golden-Winged Great Peng some spiritual fruits and exotic herbs, and then he sent it to hunt some more mutated beasts with dragon blood to continue its evolution.

The Spirit Monkey wasn’t lying when it said that the world would change once more. One had to be strong enough to keep up with the world’s changes.

Meanwhile, Lu Yuan took out the Meridian Heavenmend Furnace to refine pills. He had obtained many spiritual fruits and exotic herbs that he could not afford to waste.

The Vatican’s holy relics would also help with the Great Luo Sword Embryo’s evolution.

Lu Yuan decided to make use of this downtime to shatter more genetic shackles in order to reach the Golden Body Realm as soon as possible.

Only upon reaching the fourth stage of evolution would his preparations and solid foundation pay off in spades.

Of course, he was also waiting. He was waiting for those two visitors from the Outer Cosmos!
