Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

”Celestial Emperor” was different from the ”Jade Emperor” recorded in mythology.

The concept of ”Celestial Emperor” originated from the ancient times of Yao and Shun. It was also known as ”Azure Heaven,” ”Heavenly Ruler,” or ”Highest Deity.”

Throughout history, when emperors of every dynasty offered sacrifices to the heavens, the spirit tablet of the Celestial Emperor was always placed at the main altar.

It belonged to the supreme, ultimate existence. Hence, it was a unique title with no specific reference to any particular individual.

When Lu Yuan saw the ancient token, a smile tugged at his lips. This was precisely what he had been searching for. He set the broken plaque aside and picked up the Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token.

The ancient token was only as big as his palm; its entire form was purple-gold in color, and it was crafted from unknown materials.

Upon making contact with the token, an inexplicable sensation swept through Lu Yuan. At the same time, an unparalleled aura rushed out of the token, sweeping across all directions.

The aura was so formidable that Lu Yuan trembled as he tried to suppress the token’s attempts at rejecting his touch.

When the hostile aura made contact with his vital qi, however, it receded like a tide. It instantly stopped rejecting him for some reason.

”Hmm?” Curiosity appeared on Lu Yuan’s face. In his previous life, those beings from the Outer Cosmos prioritized searching for divine artifacts, and they focused on both Kunlun and Mount Tai.

The Celestial Emperor’s Ancient Token was discovered by then, sparking a fierce battle among the invaders, dyeing Mount Tai red with blood.

All parties paid a heavy price before a mysterious great clan claimed the token. Reportedly, the token emitted a formidable aura to resist them, and the clan even had to employ a secret technique to seal it.

With that in mind, why had it fallen silent in Lu Yuan’s hands?

Is it because I absorbed a Human Sovereign’s blood essence? Lu Yuan pondered. The token had only ceased its rejection after making contact with his vital qi. That had to be the reason; otherwise, its sudden docility made no sense whatsoever.

Nevermind. I already have it, anyway. Lu Yuan resolved to learn more about it later. His goal in visiting Mount Tai had always been this token, and obtaining it smoothly was the best outcome possible.

There was no need to waste time investigating it now.

As for what the token could do, even he wasn’t clear about it.

However, those beings from the Outer Cosmos were willing to pay a massive price just to obtain it, so this divine artifact had to be extraordinary. Better to claim it himself than let those invaders take it away.

After all, the token belonged to this world, so he found no reason to let it fall into the hands of another world.

Putting away the token, Lu Yuan surveyed the ruins before turning around to leave.

”You’re back?” The Spirit Monkey opened its eyes, filled with curiosity upon seeing Lu Yuan. Its injuries had already vanished, and its aura would soon stabilize.

”Your breathing technique is pretty good,” Lu Yuan said with a smile. To heal from injuries in such a short period of time required more than just a powerful bloodline; it demanded an extraordinary breathing technique.

”You’re not lying there. It’s not just my breathing technique; my visualization method, and divine arts are—” The Spirit Monkey suddenly shut its mouth, and wariness filled its eyes.

The human before it was very strong, so what would happen if he took a liking to its belongings? Since it couldn’t defeat Lu Yuan, was it supposed to hand its belongings over to him? That’d be quite humiliating.

”Don’t worry, there’s no need for me to do that,” Lu Yuan said, waving his hand dismissively upon seeing through the Spirit Monkey’s thoughts.

”I know you beast kings have a special way of communicating with each other, so I hope you’d do me a favor and tell all beast kings this—what belongs to humans belongs to humans, and what belongs to beasts belongs to beasts. I don’t want to see any more beast tides on human cities within Huaxia,” he said.

As soon as his words fell, a cold light flashed through his eyes, and his aura rippled outward. He was still a human being, after all. Now that he had become quite strong, he could accomplish certain things.

In his previous life, he survived only because figures like Zhu Qingyu had protected him. It was his time to return the gesture in kind.

Moreover, Lu Yuan simply couldn’t ignore the ongoing beast tides, regardless of their size, and there was also the White King’s words to consider.

Of course, his demand only applied within Huaxia’s borders. He couldn’t care less about other places.

”What if they don’t agree?” the Spirit Monkey asked. Then, it added, ”They aren’t exactly easy to talk to—especially those at the Golden Body Realm. There are at least ten of them out there. Are you sure you want me to relay your exact words?”

It was aware of Lu Yuan’s strength, but his words were just too domineering.

”Yeah, do it,” he replied, sounding calm. He feared no one in this world.

”All right, then,” the Spirit Monkey replied. It seemed to understand what Lu Yuan was trying to do. ”I can’t guarantee that they’ll listen, but if necessary, I’ll find a way to gather them so you can talk face to face.”

In fact, it also didn’t want to see any war between humans and beasts, as its inherited memories told it that there were greater crises ahead. If there was truly a way to prevent those crises, the Spirit Monkey would help. Of course, as for the outcome, it wasn’t something within its control.

”Thank you.” Lu Yuan nodded, indicating that he would remain at the foot of Mount Tai for the time being. Then, he turned around and left the Jade Emperor Peak.

During his descent, he encountered many mutated beasts, but because of the agreement with the Spirit Monkey, they didn’t attack and retreated instead.

In the future, there perhaps would be no more beast tides, but the fight between mutated beasts and humans would continue.

The primary law of the New Era was the survival of the fittest; hence, fights were inevitable. As long as the nation remained stable overall, Lu Yuan was satisfied.

At the very least, humans and mutated beasts ought to avoid exhausting themselves through internal strife until those beings from the Outer Cosmos had descended.

Soon, Lu Yuan arrived at the garrison at the foot of Mount Tai.

Ji Huaiyuan, Elder Yun, Dean Zheng, Zhu Qingyu, and the others had all been waiting for him. When they saw Lu Yuan, respect, shock, curiosity, and admiration pervaded their gazes.

Suppressing the beast king at the summit of Mount Tai and withstanding dozens of missiles were truly beyond what a human being was capable of doing. Lu Yuan was so inconceivably strong that the title ”King of Humanity” seemed insufficient to describe him.

”The Spirit Monkey has agreed. Mount Tai will be accessible to humans in the future, but they need approval from the government,” said Lu Yuan, ignoring their gazes.

Ji Huaiyuan and the others went wild with delight upon hearing that. Of course, they already knew it through deduction, but hearing it from him directly was a different matter altogether.

Ji Huaiyuan looked at Lu Yuan and bowed deeply. ”On behalf of the nation’s citizens, thank you, King Lu.”

Mount Tai contained many boons, and the government could surely accomplish great things through those boons, allowing them to cultivate more Awakened.

Lu Yuan’s feat was going to benefit everyone, so everyone bowed toward him.

”You don’t have to do that.” Lu Yuan waved his hands and added, ”There’s one more thing. I told the Spirit Monkey to tell the beast kings across the nation that they must stop launching beast tides on our cities.

”However, this will take time, and it can be difficult, as those beast kings won’t submit so easily. However, I’ll talk to them personally, so it should be fine.”

Everyone present was stunned once again. Lu Yuan’s words meant the nation would no longer have to worry about any beast tides in the future.

For a moment, everyone had no idea what to say.

Ji Huaiyuan swallowed hard and asked, ”Do you need us to do anything?”

”No need, I can handle this alone.” Lu Yuan shook his head. This matter was beyond their capabilities, so they couldn’t really help even if Lu Yuan needed their help.

”All right.” Ji Huaiyuan understood his limits well, so he did not insist.

It was surely going to be difficult, but if it ended up being a success, countless people would no longer have to live in fear of a possible beast tide.

Though it was difficult, Lu Yuan had performed far too many miracles right in front of them, so they felt like it was possible as long as it was Lu Yuan. Of course, they could not really do anything other than just wait and see.

”Bring them up,” Elder Yun suddenly said.

Moments later, a squad of soldiers brought forward people in camouflage. Mount Tai was extremely vast, but Elder Yun had told everyone to find them at all costs.

Upon going all-out, they eventually found these people in camouflage. Now that Lu Yuan had safely descended Mount Tai, it was time for him to face these fanatics.

”King Lu, we’ve found these fanatics who’ve been tracking you. They tracked you down and guided those missiles to your location,” Elder Yun said. He had interrogated them earlier and learned that the mastermind behind the attack was the Vatican’s Celestial Archangel and its top echelons.

Their plan was to kill Lu Yuan by annihilating him from the face of the earth, and they would have succeeded had Lu Yuan been any weaker.

Lu Yuan stared calmly at the fanatics before him. Perfect timing. It’s about time I settle the scores with the West.

The fact that they employed dozens of ICBMs against him was truly despicable, and they all deserved death. After a brief moment of pondering, Lu Yuan turned to Ji Huaiyuan and said, ”Elder Ji, I will have to trouble you with a favor.

”I want you to announce the founding of the Alliance of Humankind; I want you to invite the Vatican, Mount Olympus, and the other major forces to talk about it.

”The masterminds behind the missile attack must be brought to justice, so make it clear to them that it’s not just a mere announcement, but their final warning as well!”

Everyone present froze upon hearing Lu Yuan. In their eyes, Lu Yuan’s goal was clear. He intended to deal with the perpetrators. Then, with Huaxia standing at the forefront of the Alliance of Humankind, he would suppress the world by himself!
