Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 111. Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram, the First Collision Between the East and the West? (2)

Somewhere within Shennongjia, the Golden-Winged Great Peng stood on a boulder with its wings folded.

The corpse of a mutated beast lay near it, and it was a humongous mutated beast that had shattered fourteen genetic shackles. Despite its formidable strength, it sprawled out on the ground with all its bones broken.

Not far from the corpse was an enormous lake. The lake had a strange shape. When viewed from above, it resembled a bagua diagram. The lake was unfathomably deep and was completely calm.

A mere glance was enough for anyone to feel that the lake itself was extraordinary.

”Master has been inside for over ten days. Why hasn’t he come out yet?” The Golden-Winged Great Peng was feeling anxious. Of course, it knew there could not be any real danger, as its master’s strength was simply too great.

However, it had been over ten days since its master had killed the mutated beast and entered the bizarre-looking lake, but he had yet to emerge from it. The long wait was making it feel anxious, and it wondered about going in to take a look.

Just then, a figure broke the calm lake surface—it was Lu Yuan. Thanks to the Primordial Qi Robe, even his hair remained dry.

”Master!” The Golden-Winged Great Peng immediately rushed over and hovered near him. ”Master, why did you go down there?”

”Just to find something, and I got it now.” Lu Yuan smiled and took out a scroll.

It wasn’t made of paper but of some unknown beast’s hide. The surface appeared unremarkable, but when he opened it, the scroll revealed a bagua diagram.

Unlike an ordinary bagua diagram, this one displayed the sun, the moon, and stars, all of which were somehow moving, creating a peculiar but extraordinary sight.

The celestial bodies seemed to be moving according to a certain path in the cosmos.

The Golden-Winged Great Peng was amazed. ”Master, what’s that diagram? It looks amazing.”

”It is indeed amazing,” Lu Yuan replied. ”This was made by one of the three Human Sovereigns, Taihao Fuxi.”

Lu Yuan pointed to the words written on the scroll—By Fuxi.

The Golden-Winged Great Peng’s curiosity turned to pure shock. It had no idea what to even say at this point. Not long ago, its master obtained something Shennong had left behind, and now he had just obtained something from Fuxi.

Despite being a mutated beast, it knew those two were genuine Human Sovereigns. Even the Golden-Winged Great Peng’s inherited memories stated that they were legendary heroes of humanity.

”M-master, y-you...” The Golden-Winged Great Peng truly did not know what to say. It felt like its master was unfathomable. For some reason, its master had a penchant for stumbling upon great boons.

However, Lu Yuan paid no attention to its reaction; instead, he carefully observed the diagram in his hands. The diagram’s full name was simple—Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram.

Of course, Fuxi made it himself.

It had two major functions—divination and pathfinding among the stars.

The divination function allowed one to find blessed lands by virtue of divination using the celestial bodies.

It would also help Lu Yuan track down the location of divine artifacts.

However, it would only track down divine items. Spiritual fruits and exotic herbs would elicit no response from it, as Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram was of a very high level compared to such treasures.

Of course, using it effectively wasn’t that easy, as it was linked to one’s strength. If one wanted to use it, one simply had to drip one’s blood onto it.

However, its effectiveness depended on one’s strength. The stronger the user, the greater the possibility of finding divine artifacts.

As for its second function, pathfinding among the stars. Even Lu Yuan was not exactly aware of how it worked.

In his previous life, a group of beings from the Outer Cosmos descended to seize Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram, and it ultimately fell into the hands of one of their important figures.

However, things were different now. Knowing what was to come, Lu Yuan decided to take it early, similar to what he had done at the Mausoleum.

However, he still had a question—how come Shennongjia had a treasure from Taihao Fuxi? Both were Human Sovereigns, but they were not from the same era.

Lu Yuan had always been confused about that, and the confusion only deepened when he obtained Shennong’s blood essence.

And what was the so-called ”great calamity” that Shennong had written on the stone stele? For some reason, Lu Yuan felt like he was encountering more and more inexplicable mysteries the more places he visited.

He believed that he would eventually have an answer to these questions. Those beings from the Outer Cosmos surely knew the truth; otherwise, they would not have descended from the depths of space to seize items like the Primordial Dragon Breathing Technique and Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram.

Setting these thoughts aside, Lu Yuan took out the Great Luo Sword Embryo, preparing to draw some blood. He intended to seek whether there were other divine artifacts hidden within Shennongjia.

His sword embryo had already fused with the cross-staff he had taken from Jennifer. Unfortunately, the power increase it brought wasn’t that significant due to the fact that it wasn’t fully made with divine materials.

He was disappointed, but there was no helping it. Divine materials were just too hard to find. If he had another dozen or so cross-staffs, perhaps the Great Luo Sword Embryo would undergo another qualitative change.

Lu Yuan cut his palm, drawing out his blood, which had taken on a golden hue thanks to his revamped bloodline. The golden blood dripped onto Fuxi’s Bagua Diagram.

The sun, the moon, and the stars on the diagram began moving while releasing brilliant rays of light. After a while, they went still. It seemed there were no more divine artifacts within Shennongjia.

Of course, the effects of divination were linked to his strength. He could not divine the entirety of Shennongjia, at least for now.

”Forget it. Some things cannot be forced.” Lu Yuan put away the diagram. He knew that the divine artifacts he possessed were sufficient, considering his level of strength. In fact, he had to fully adapt to what he had already obtained.

Unless he became even stronger, there was no need to collect more divine artifacts. He ought to just calm down and wait for the next opportunity to collect some.

”Let’s go. It’s about time we leave.” Lu Yuan looked at the Golden-Winged Great Peng and stretched. ”I wonder what happened outside while I was here.”
