Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

The realization sent ripples of disbelief through the onlookers.

After all, most cultivators were still struggling within the Foundation Realm, barely taking their baby steps on the path of evolution.

Only a handful had reached the Awakened Realm, and those few were already hailed as elites—the cornerstones of their respective factions.

Yet now, Lu Yuan stood before them at the Unfettered Realm, wielding power that transcended all of that.

How long had this New Era even lasted? Barely half a year, and he had already evolved this far. His evolution speed was monstrous.

Northern Emperor, Zhu Qingyu, and Ice Fairy all froze in stunned silence. They had long known there was a gap between themselves and Lu Yuan, but never imagined it to be a chasm so vast.

He had already stepped into the Unfettered Realm.

”So he came prepared after all,” Wade murmured in a low voice.

Feeling the crushing weight of Lu Yuan’s gaze, the Apostles’ bodies trembled as an instinctive chill crawled down their spines.

They had thought today’s plan would be simple. After all, they only had to fight a single target.

But yet, the strength of the man before them had surpassed their expectations. The Unfettered Realm meant that Lu Yuan was in the same realm as the Celestial Archangel.

”Even if he has reached the Unfettered Realm, so what? How many genetic shackles can he break? Deploy the strongest divine magic and kill him!”

As the First Apostle, Wade was the first to regain composure and to issue the next order.

At once, the other ten Apostles obeyed, raising their cross-shaped staff high into the sky.

”In the name of God,” they intoned in unison, ”grant us Your blessing. Let this heretic be purged from the world!”

Their expressions were solemn, reverent, and fervent.

In that instant, the eleven divine artifacts blazed to life. A radiance pure as snow erupted from the staff, painting the sky in searing white. Behind each Apostle, a pair of luminous wings unfurled as they rose from the ground, resembling true angels descending upon the mortal world.

At their forefront, Wade stood bathed in holy light. The aura surrounding him surged higher, and higher until he broke through into the Unfettered Realm.

How holy and majestic is His grace!

The air trembled with resonance as threads of holy light converged, weaving together into a blinding torrent that poured straight into Wade’s body.

Wade floated into the air, eyes cold and merciless. Lifting his divine staff, he pointed it toward Lu Yuan.

”In the name of God,” he declared, ”I deliver judgment upon you.”

Holy radiance surged forth. The oppressive and divine pressure it unleashed made even the distant spectators gasp for breath.

”This is bad! That’s a Western divine magic—God’s Judgement!” someone cried out, panic rising. ”It’s said to be their version of our divine art!”

”I’ve heard that the Celestial Archangel once used this spell to slay a mutated beast king while still in the Awakened Realm!”

”This is truly impressive! How can anyone withstand such power? Can Lu Yuan—”

While the onlookers were awed by the might of divine magic, Lu Yuan moved. His expression remained calm, his gaze steady as still water.

Without summoning any technique, without drawing upon any external power, he simply leapt into the sky and swung his fist.

Golden qi erupted around him and burned with dazzling intensity. In that instant, he became a sun suspended in midair, his brilliance showered upon everyone.

Boom!

The punch landed.

Energy exploded like a collapsing world. The air shrieked under the weight of it; the holy light, once so magnificent, was crushed and devoured in an instant.

Below, Wade and the ten other Apostles convulsed violently. The moment the strike landed, their bodies were hurled downward like falling stars. They crashed deep into the earth and carved massive craters into the ground.

Blood spilled from their lips. Their flesh cracked. Their breathing now flickered weakly like dying embers.

The strongest divine magic that they took pride in had lasted less than a breath. Just like the five elders of Longevity Genetics, they never even stood a chance.

Silence fell. No one dared to speak.

Moments ago, everyone had feared that once the divine magic landed, Lu Yuan would be in grave danger.

But it seemed they had worried for nothing. His strength was beyond imagination.

By this point, the Eleven Apostles had been completely defeated, powerless, and barely clinging to life.

Absolutely invincible!

Simply unstoppable!

Everyone present was left completely shaken by the sheer might and dominance he had just displayed.

Lu Yuan landed lightly upon the ground. Then, without a word, he began walking forward.

What was he going to do? Would he slay the Eleven Apostles outright?

The thought rippled through every mind. If he did, would he not be setting himself against the Celestial Archangel?

Of course, Lu Yuan ignored them all. He stopped before First Apostle Wade and, looking down, he said, ”I said I would send you to meet your so-called god. And I always keep my word.”

His voice was calm, as if reciting a simple fact about the weather.

”God’s protection is upon me. Strike and you will suffer His divine wrath! You will be cast into hell!”

Wade could feel the intent radiating from Lu Yuan. His limbs could not help but tremble, yet he still spoke with steady faith.

However, Lu Yuan spoke no words. His heart beat in resonance with the Bloodforce Pagoda, and a rising golden qi swirled around him before surging toward the Eleven Apostles.

Accompanied by a thunderous sound, every Apostle, including Wade, shattered. They were deader than dead.

Along with the one in Shennongjia, Lu Yuan alone had slain all twelve of the Vatican’s Apostles.

Those who watched could only swallow their dry saliva; words failed them.

And yet it was not over. All eyes turned to Lu Yuan.

Lu Yuan merely shook his head lightly, then continued walking in another direction.

Not far off, Liu Changyuan had been stunned into silence by what had just transpired. His subordinates, mere supporters in this scheme, did not dare step forward. The Longevity Genetics’ five elders were gone; the Eleven Apostles lay dead. How could they hope to resist?

”Hurry. Kill him! Kill him now!”

Seeing Lu Yuan draw closer, Liu Changyuan finally snapped back to action and barked.

He suddenly realized he had provoked something that should never have been provoked.

Terror consumed Liu Changyuan from the inside out. He shoved his subordinates forward like pawns, while he retreated step by step, hoping distance might buy him time.

But Lu Yuan had no intention of granting him even that.

His aura surged outward in a golden storm. The pressure alone shattered bones and circuits alike. The mechanized soldiers of Skygod Technologies crumpled where they stood, unable even to resist.

And then, in a flash of light, Lu Yuan stood before Liu Changyuan. His face remained calm, almost tranquil, yet the killing intent radiating from him only grew denser and sharper.

”N-no... don’t kill me!” Liu Changyuan stammered, his voice breaking. ”I—I can give you everything! The entire Skygod Technologies, it’s yours!”

He had forgotten that he was a cultivator at the Awakened Realm, and his strength was far from weak. But he could not be blamed either. Lu Yuan’s earlier display of might had stripped away every illusion of control.

To Liu Changyuan, he was no longer facing a man, but a calamity in human form. He wanted only to live.

Unfortunately, the moment he chose to ally with the Vatican Church, that possibility had already died.

Lu Yuan’s expression did not shift. His heart beat once, steady and cold. Then his fist came down.

Pchhh—!

Liu Changyuan’s body was flung through the air like a rag doll before bursting apart mid-flight, scattering into a crimson mist.

When the blood settled, Lu Yuan was still standing where he had begun. The ground beneath him was painted red.

In the distance, the surviving forces of Skygod Technologies could only stare in horror. None dared step forward. They merely followed orders, but now that their leader was dead, who among them would be foolish enough to follow him into death?

Silence blanketed the battlefield.

Someone glanced at the clock. It had barely been ten minutes from the moment Lu Yuan had descended until now.

What they thought would be a drawn-out war, a desperate struggle where even Lu Yuan might fall, had ended before it began.

It never crossed their minds that the tide would be turned. That the strong alliance of three great powers would be utterly annihilated in less than ten minutes.

And the man who accomplished the feat did not even have a speck of dust upon him.
