Chapter 196 – 145: The Old Grandpa Visits (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_2

After making a simple round about the house, Rein noticed that there was a backyard behind the house, slightly smaller than the front yard.

Looking at it, the overall layout of the house was very similar to Rein’s own home, only that it was much larger in terms of land area, nearly double.

Knowing that Rein would come to inspect the house, Matteo had already prepared the keys ahead of time.

“Click!” Matteo took the initiative to open the front door.

As the door opened, Rein walked inside and saw that the decor was quite new and, most importantly, it was spacious.

The ground floor consisted of a dining and kitchen area and a living room with a fireplace, while the second floor had four bedrooms plus a storage room. Described as a storage room, it was currently empty, only furnished with a few simple tables and chairs.

Additionally, there was a spacious basement on the lower level, which could be used to store some perishable vegetables, grains, or even wine.

The house’s overall structure was rational and at least two or three grades better than Rein’s current home.

Rein nodded slightly.

Explore new worlds at Novgo

It was a very nice house, and he was quite satisfied with it.

“Matteo, how much is this house?”

“Two hundred and eighty gold coins, ready for transfer at any time.”

“Okay, this one it is.”

“My lord, don’t you want to take a look at the other house?” Matteo couldn’t help but ask with curiosity.

He thought the other house was quite nice too, and it even had a separate stable.

“No need.” Rein shook his head.

Rein had his reasons for choosing this place; Matteo had also briefly mentioned that the other house was located to the east of the town center, further from Abel’s potion shop, and even further from the town hall.

“Matteo, come back home with me first, then you can help my parents with the transfer process,” Rein said.

“Very well, my lord.”

On their way back, they soon passed by Abel’s potion shop, where, unlike usual, Rein noticed from a distance that the shop’s door was kept tightly shut.

This couldn’t help but puzzle Rein.

Usually, even if the potion shop was busy, either Abel or Molly would be there.

Shutting the shop like this was a rare occurrence.

However, having matters at hand, Rein naturally had no inclination to inquire further.

After returning home, Rein briefly informed his parents of the situation and handed the purse containing three hundred Imperial gold coins to his mother, Emma, before sending them off with Bo He to handle the transfer procedures with Matteo.

Meanwhile, Rein took ten ingots of blood-patterned steel and headed back to the blacksmith shop.

As soon as he entered, Rein saw Lagaray swinging a brand-new pig-headed hammer, though her movements appeared sluggish, clearly requiring great effort!

Seeing Rein come in, Lagaray smiled.

“Rein, you’ve arrived just in time! I’ve just finished the last process. Try out your new weapon,” she said as she handed the pig-headed hammer to Rein.

As soon as Rein took it, he felt the weight of the dark pig-headed hammer; it was rather heavy in his hand.

But after Lagaray had increased the texture on the handle and the binding ropes, the grip felt good, and it was convenient to swing with either one hand or both hands.

Immediately with the new weapon in hand, Rein happily went to the blacksmith shop’s open-air backyard to swing it around.

After executing a few hammer skills, the pig-headed hammer felt quite comfortable to use.

The only small issue was the weight of the hammer; being made entirely of hardened essence gold, it was heavier than Rein had expected, which slowed down the swinging speed during attacks slightly.

But after a moment’s deliberation, Rein didn’t see it as a major problem.

After all, in the face of a powerful foe, he would inevitably be in a ‘second state’ or ‘third state’ form.

Having added a bit of strength earlier, Rein’s knight (Transcendent) panel strength limit had now increased to 45%.

Just activating ‘Limit Break,’ with strength, agility, and stamina amplified by 45%, turned the somewhat heavy pig-headed hammer into a very handy one.

And once at full power, Rein estimated the hammer would even feel a bit light.

This was an issue that he couldn’t address at the moment.

After all, there was a significant difference between Rein’s physical condition when erupting in power and when not.

“How is it, are you satisfied?” Lagaray, observing Rein demonstrate with the hammer, asked with a smile.

“Very satisfied, Lagaray, thank you.”

“Good! Then I’m off to make the clay mold for the shield. By the way, what size do you want your shield?” Lagaray asked.

“Uh… If there’s enough blood-patterned steel ingots, the same size as yours will do, but if there isn’t enough, a slightly smaller size is also fine,” said Rein after thinking for a moment.

After all, to him, shields were hardly ever used; it could be kept as a spare for Lagaray.

“Okay!” Lagaray nodded, knowing well that Rein almost never used a shield.

While Lagaray was off making the clay mold, Rein placed the ten ingots of blood-patterned steel into the blacksmith furnace.

Following the method from last time, Rein used witchcraft ‘Scorching Touch’ to melt all the blood-patterned steel ingots into a liquid state.

It wasn’t long before Lagaray entered with the clay mold.

Given her previous experience, she wasn’t too surprised by the speed of the blood-patterned steel ingots melting and placed the mold at the furnace’s outlet. Opening the valve, Rein watched the blood-patterned steel liquid slowly pour into the mold’s pouring hole.

Rein also glanced at the system prompt and was delighted:
