Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 194 – 144: An Unstoppable Force (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

Rein raised both hands, hovering them about thirty centimeters above the blacksmithing forge. Then, he softly began to chant a spell. Stay tuned to Novgo

The time it took for him to perform his witchcraft this time was clearly much shorter than before. In just over two seconds, a red glow emerged from Rein’s palms.

Rein could clearly feel that the stray fire energy particles around him were rapidly converging in front of his palms.

Suddenly, the already roaring flames of the furnace surged even higher!

It was evident that the furnace temperature was quickly rising due to the enhancement of Rein’s witchcraft, “Scorching Touch”.

It’s working!

A thrill of joy rose in Rein’s heart!

Since “Scorching Touch” was a channeling type of witchcraft, maintaining stable channeling would continuously gather the stray fire energy particles around him.

Soon, the temperature inside the blacksmith’s forge reached over two thousand degrees.

The fragments of Hardened Essence Gold that had been bright red at the start began to shine more brightly and soften, melting like wax soon thereafter.

So, when Lagaray came in carrying two clay molds, she witnessed a scene that left her astonished.

However, by that time, Rein had already stopped casting “Scorching Touch”, so Lagaray didn’t see Rein performing the witchcraft.

Of course, this was intentional on Rein’s part.

As for his ability in witchcraft, it seemed wiser to keep it a secret for now.

“Rein, you….”

After snapping back to reality, Lagaray immediately placed the prepared clay molds beneath the forge’s spout.

As the molten liquid Essence Gold slowly flowed into the clay molds, Lagaray covered them and waited for them to solidify slowly and cool down.

Rein took the opportunity to glance at the system notifications:

[You have performed Hardened Essence Gold smelting work, related insights have increased!]

[You have gained a new skill—Smelting Hardened Essence Gold]

[Your skill in Smelting Hardened Essence Gold has improved, Experience +76]

[You focused on Smelting Hardened Essence Gold, Blacksmith Professional Experience Points +48]

…

Indeed, the experience reward was generous!

Not long after, Lagaray dismantled the clay cast, and a rough Hardened Essence Gold Warhammer was born from the mold.

It’s just that the spikes on the pointed end of the hammerhead needed to be reattached.

The pointed end was riddled with holes, while the flat end merely needed a bit of grinding to finish off.

The twenty to thirty centimeter long metal spikes, now cooled in another clay mold, were ready for Lagaray.

Lagaray began to insert the metal spikes, padded with metal sheets, into the holes of the hammerhead, then returned it to the forge for an integrated melting process.

What followed were the more delicate tasks.

Such as grinding, adding grooves to the hammer handle, improving the grip’s friction, and so on.

Typically, if the Warhammer’s wielder was below the Transcendent level, a combination of a wooden handle with a metal hammerhead was commonly used, being light enough for ordinary people to handle.

But for a Knight (Transcendent) using the Warhammer, naturally, an integrated metal handle with a metal hammerhead was preferred—though it added weight, more importantly, it increased the weapon’s durability and strength.

[Congratulations, your Blacksmith Profession Level has increased!]

Looking at the Blacksmith Profession Level, which hadn’t increased for a long time and now was at Blacksmith lv4 (0/1000), Rein couldn’t help but smile.

His remaining attribute points and Skill Points had both returned to a status of two points each.

Just then, a familiar voice came from outside the blacksmith’s shop.

“Is the Deputy Commander there?”

It was Matteo at the door.
