Chapter 186 – 142: The Sudden Spiked Wheel (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

Additionally, take for example the Black Flame Apostle whose body stretched like rubber, capable of suddenly elongating. If Rein hadn’t pinpointed the adversary’s weakness, relying purely on his greatsword to hack and slash, he would never have triumphed over his foe.

It can be said that if it were not for Rein, had any other seasoned knight been in his place, they likely would have met their demise right there and then!

On the other hand, it’s clear that the Black Flame Cult doesn’t merely have one Apostle-level expert; rather, they must have individuals or methods stronger than the Apostle level.

Therefore, Rein felt that by rapidly improving the levels of other professional panels, such as Blacksmith and Dog Trainer, he could accumulate a certain amount of Skill Points and attribute points to enhance the combat effectiveness of his Wizard Apprentice.

After all, even the might of a rudimentary touch-based witchcraft—the “Scorching Touch”—had amazed Rein.

As for witchcraft, Rein believed that he could find some by continuously searching.

Therefore, preparing Skill Points in advance wasn’t contradictory.

Upon returning home, Rein discovered it was already ten o’clock.

After giving it some thought, Rein decided to contact Lagaray tomorrow about forging a Warhammer. First, he organized the materials he had purchased that day, and then began his unwavering daily routine of practicing the Giant Bear Breathing Technique and basic meditation.

As soon as his practice ended, Rein swiftly fell asleep.

Suddenly, just as he had drifted off, Rein jolted awake with a start.

Just now, his level 3 danger perception had alerted him to an approaching threat.

This caused Rein to immediately rise and investigate; peering through the window, he saw a mist slowly rising over Flashgold Town.

At first glance, the emergence of mist on a night during Frost Moon seemed normal, but Rein keenly sensed that the mist was faintly black and was thickening at a visible rate.

This instantly sent a chill through Rein’s heart.

Without delay, he began to don his chromite suit of knight’s plate armor and slung the Glimmering Greatsword and bronze Warhammer over his shoulder.

Just as Rein had fully armed himself, he observed that the mist outside the window had become so dense that it was impossible to see beyond ten meters.

This mist is problematic!

At the same time, the sense of danger in Rein’s heart grew increasingly intense.

Thinking quickly, Rein hurried to his sister Bo He’s room, scooped her up from her sleep, and carried her downstairs.

He rapidly knocked on his parents’ bedroom door.

“Thump, thump, thump”

“Who is it?” his mother Emma’s languid voice rang out, while his father, old Rein, was in a deep sleep, snoring loudly.

“It’s me, mother, Rein.”

“Hm?” As Emma opened the door and saw Rein fully armored, she startled, instantly becoming wide awake from her grogginess.

“Rein, what’s this?” Mother Emma’s eyes widened in surprise as she looked at Rein holding his sister.

“Mother, wake father up, and take care of Bo He.”

“There’s something off about the mist outside, stay in the room and don’t come out.” After handing Bo He to his mother Emma, he pointed to the nearly pitch-black dense mist outside the window and explained.

Emma took one look and sensed something amiss too.

At that moment, the mist felt like tentacles, continuously and sinuously penetrating through the cracks of the door and windows—peculiarly exhibiting a faint black color.

Suddenly, Rein’s inner alarm bells rang loudly!

“Boom!!!”

A pair of huge iron spikes, each a meter in diameter and spinning rapidly, plunged into the wall on one side of the kitchen, cutting through swiftly.

The structure of Rein’s house couldn’t withstand such a forceful attack, and two large holes appeared immediately, with dirt flying and dust billowing.

“Ah!!” Mother Emma screamed in terror.

“Quick, hide!” Rein pushed his mother aside and quickly locked the door. Your adventure continues at m

He then took the Glimmering Greatsword from his back and charged out the door.

Though the dense fog enveloped the outside, fighting in the confined space of the house was even less advantageous for Rein to wield two-handed weapons.

Moreover, Rein wanted to see what exactly was launching the attack!

The enemy’s rapidly spinning spikes stirred the thick fog, momentarily clearing the area and allowing Rein to get a basic view of his adversary.

Rein’s pupils shrank drastically.

What in the world is this monster!

Before him appeared to be a giant metallic golem fashioned from metal, nearly three meters in height, resembling a large metal doll girl.

What was strange was that the entity had a head shaped like a girl with closed eyes and twin ponytails, while the lower half was in the form of a cone-shaped skirt that tapered larger at the base. Its feet were two rapidly spinning wheels ablaze with black flames.

At the ends of its two arms, instead of hands, were the rapidly spinning metal spikes that had just attacked the walls of Rein’s house.

“Feet with Wind Fire Wheels, head with twin ponytails?”

Rein was dumbfounded!
