Chapter 171 – 137: Is There Such a Good Thing? (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_3

“This….” Snell couldn’t hide his troubled expression.

Although he wanted to do Lord Reine a favor, the blood-patterned steel ingots had already been allocated.

Reine keenly noticed that the other had discreetly glanced at Knight Lloyd standing nearby.

Clearly, the blood-patterned steel ingots were meant for Knight Lloyd’s plan, but before Reine could say anything further,

Knight Lloyd laughingly said, “Since Reine has a need, let him have them first. Snell, a few days delay on my shield and armor won’t make a difference.”

Reine suddenly realized!

So, these blood-patterned steel ingots were intended for forging Knight Lloyd’s gear, no wonder!

Reine remembered that Knight Lloyd excelled in sword-and-shield combat, having always seen him equipped thus, apparently a Knight focused on defense.

“Thank you, Knight Lloyd. I’m currently practicing Hammer Skill and plan to forge a Warhammer, thus I needed some blood-patterned steel.”

With the blood-patterned steel now secured, Reine also openly shared his purpose with Lloyd.

“Hmm? Reine, have you been practicing Hammer Skill recently?” Perez seemed quite surprised upon hearing this.

He had planned to discuss the Giant Bear Sword Technique with Reine after the banquet, hearing him abandon his exceptional talent in Swordsmanship to instead practice Hammer Skill naturally puzzled him.

“Yes, Master Perez, mastering an additional skill is beneficial, but I still primarily use the greatsword in real combat.” Reine replied with a smile, naturally not divulging his true reasons.

At this moment, the Hammer Smith Snell suggested, “Lord Reine, do you need me to contact the Hammer Smith in County Town to help forge your Warhammer?”

“Ah… Thank you, Lord Snell, but I have already contacted a friend.” Reine politely declined Snell’s offer.

He was still hoping to learn Hammer Skill from Lagaray to advance his Blacksmith Profession Level, so naturally he wouldn’t choose to have the Warhammer crafted in County Town.

Before arriving, Reine had prepared three hundred Imperial Gold Coins, nearly his entire fortune, and had spent two hundred eighty coins on purchasing the blood-patterned steel ingots, almost depleting his funds instantly.

“This here is the forging area, where Master Blacksmith Bazil is currently making a bronze Warhammer…” Snell continued to explain.

Huh!

Bronze?

Wouldn’t that have a much lower melting point than iron?

Reine recalled his chemistry knowledge from a past life, although he didn’t know the exact melting points, he remembered that bronze was definitely below one thousand degrees, while iron was around fifteen hundred degrees.

The difference was extremely significant.

Reine glanced at his Wizard Apprentice (Transcendent) panel which listed ‘Scorching Touch’ and began to formulate a preliminary plan!

Due to his fondness for the blacksmith shop, Reine stayed there a bit longer, so after concluding the visit, Knight Lloyd suggested heading straight for the banquet hall, and Reine naturally agreed.

This visit had already proven to be a great success!

Habsburg Manor.

The ground floor dining hall was bright with lights.

At least a ten-meter-long rectangular dining table, covered with elegant tablecloths, was where Knight Lloyd took his place at the head of the table.

Reine and Perez each sat on the right and left hand sides of Lloyd respectively.

Besides the three of them, there were no other diners.

Only chambermaids moved back and forth like scene changes in a play.

Although it was just the three of them dining, given that all three were transcendent human knights with huge appetites,

soon, half of the table full of delicacies had been devoured.

At that moment, Knight Lloyd used a white napkin to dab at the corners of his mouth and said, “Reine, the last time we were at the church in Flashgold Town, what you demonstrated must have been the Giant Bear Sword Technique, right?”

Upon hearing this, Reine’s eyes flickered slightly; he knew the main event was coming.

Knight Lloyd inviting him wasn’t merely for a banquet.

Before coming, Reine had pondered this issue.

In general, he guessed that Lloyd would inquire about the origins of his breathing technique or sword skills, and how long he had been studying them.

Naturally, there might be some overtures or alliances to follow, or something else entirely.

Putting himself in Lloyd’s shoes, if he discovered that a servant who had been training in the manor a few months ago had suddenly become transcendent, he would definitely want to understand the situation clearly.

Concerning Lloyd’s question, Reine didn’t plan to deliberately hide anything, considering he had already told Hamilton.

As the saying goes, ‘When you tell a secret to one person, it’s as if you’ve told it to everyone.’

“Actually, my Giant Bear Breathing Technique and Giant Bear Sword Technique, I learned them here in the castle.” Reine also wiped his mouth with a white napkin and said with a smile.

Lloyd and Perez looked at each other with puzzled faces, as if saying, how could this be possible!

Immediately after, both turned their eager eyes on Reine, waiting for an answer.

Reine didn’t plan to keep them in suspense and directly said, “It was Lady Creya who taught me the breathing technique and the sword technique.”

“Hahaha!”

“So that’s it!” Upon hearing this answer, both Lloyd and Perez burst out laughing.

“Perez and I had thought of many possibilities, considering the Giant Bear Sword Technique is widely known throughout the empire, but we never imagined you had grown up right under our noses.” Lloyd said with a somewhat resigned laugh, shaking his head.

“Count Habbs also heard about your situation and specifically asked me to talk to you, to inquire if you are willing to become a follower of the Earl.”
