Chapter 166 – 136 Actually…….I am very interested in forging! (Two in one big chapter)_2

Lord Reine quickly regained his composure!

He remembered the blacksmith shop located on the first floor of the castle.

Back then, he was just a quiet, unknown servant boy.

But now the situation was quite different.

Yesterday, Knight Lloyd from the manor and Instructor Perez had a long conversation with him, and both had invited him to visit the Habsburg manor whenever he was free.

It was a good opportunity to bring up the matter of the blood-patterned steel.

As long as it was available, there should be no problem!

Moreover, he had harvested more than two hundred Imperial gold coins from the spoils of the Black Flame Cultist, which along with his previous collection, should be enough to directly purchase the blood-patterned steel.

Having realized all this, Lord Reine’s lips couldn’t help but curl up slightly, clearly in a great mood.

Lagaray watched Lord Reine, puzzled.

She was confused as to why Lord Reine, who clearly seemed a bit troubled for a moment, suddenly started smiling.

At this moment, a man dressed as a servant walked into the training grounds, scanned the surroundings briefly, and quickly spotted Lord Reine in the center of the field talking to the barbarian girl, Lagaray.

The man walked up and respectfully said, “Lord Reine, I am a servant from the Habsburg manor. Knight Lloyd would like to invite you to dinner, and I wonder if you are available this evening?”

“Oh… of course, you may bring this beautiful young lady with you.” The man, adept at reading the room, noticed Lagaray beside Lord Reine and immediately thought of something, quickly adding another sentence.

This made Lagaray, who was usually cheerful, a bit shy. However, different from Anna, she still looked intensely at Lord Reine.

She wanted to see how Lord Reine would respond.

“Lagaray, if you are free tonight, why don’t you join me?” Lord Reine thought that having Lagaray with him when selecting ores would be more convenient.

After all, the manor’s blacksmith shop might not necessarily have the blood-patterned steel required for forging a warhammer.

But the manor’s blacksmith shop, more than likely, has other special ores similar to blood-patterned steel, which might also be suitable for making a warhammer.

However, Lord Reine had very little knowledge about special ores. Bringing Lagaray, a senior blacksmith, would naturally save a lot of trouble.

“Thank you, no need, I’ll stay with Anna,” said Lagaray, visibly pleased that Lord Reine intended to bring her along, but she immediately declined.

She had little interest in dealing with the Imperial nobility.

In fact, she also found it odd why she had taken a liking to Lord Reine.

Was it because he had saved her?

No.

Perhaps, in the blood of a barbarian, there was a gene to revere the strong.

After all, in a place like Frostwind Prairie, only the strong could survive and thrive.

“I’ll be leaving first!” Lagaray waved and walked straight out of the training grounds.

Lord Reine watched Lagaray’s retreating figure, slightly puzzled as to why she refused, shook his head slightly, and then said to the servant, “Tell Knight Lloyd that it will just be me tonight.”

“Very well, Lord Reine. We look forward to your presence tonight,” the servant bowed slightly and quickly left.

Besides a warhammer, Lord Reine also needed a set of sturdy knight’s armor.

Unfortunately, Lagaray did not make armor.

Thinking it over, Lord Reine went to see the Night Watchman’s quartermaster.

This was his first time visiting the quartermaster.

Previously, his predecessor, Weilun, had arranged everything for him.

Upon seeing Lord Reine enter, the rotund quartermaster immediately stood up from his chair and greeted him respectfully, “Vice officer sir!”

“Eh! You recognize me?” Lord Reine curiously asked.

“Of course, Lord Reine. Your performance when you killed the Cultist yesterday, I believe, will be remembered forever by everyone present,” Thompson complimented while reminiscing about the scene.

Yesterday, he too was trembling among the crowd praying in the church.

He thought it was definitely the end for him.

But he hadn’t expected the sudden appearance of Lord Reine, who seemed like a god descending, who eliminated three Transcendent Cultists consecutively and saved almost half the people inside the church.

Having experienced this event, it would be impossible for Thompson to forget Lord Reine!

“By the way, Vice Officer sir, what brings you here this time?”

“Do you have ready-made knight’s armor here?”

“Yes, right this way.” Thompson immediately nodded, his plump body nimbly turned and led Lord Reine to a storage room, pulling out two sets of heavy knight armor suits.

Lord Reine was initially pleased but upon closer inspection, he couldn’t help feeling a bit disappointed.

The armory stored two sets of knight’s armor, but their quality was quite average, even inferior to the set Hamilton had given him last time.

This was probably intended for knight-errants.

Such knight’s armor, beyond adding over a hundred pounds of weight, would hardly offer much defensive power.

“Do you have a warhammer?” Lord Reine asked again.

“Yes, Vice Officer sir, did you want a two-handed warhammer or a one-handed warhammer?”

“Two-handed warhammer.”

Thompson quickly brought over a large two-handed warhammer and handed it to Lord Reine.

Lord Reine, upon inspecting it, was quite surprised; except for the iron hammerhead, the rest was made of wood.

This led Lord Reine to internally complain that this wasn’t much different from the ironwood warhammers used in training gyms.
